I have gotten MBs that say they are Win-11 but then won't load it. Has anyone actually tried to install Win-11 on the is MB and gotten it to load?

Yes,  but you must install some MB's drivers in a separate USB in order to load W11  intaller.

Can this motherboard run Intel i7 14700k or i9 14900k at 253 watts? The AI bot says it's compatible but I don't know what compatible really means. I'm asking if it can run Intel i7 14700k or i9 14900k at 253 watts, not if it's compatible with Intel i7 14700k or i9 14900k CPU.

Hi. Compatible means literally "able to work together" or able to exist together without issue. I looked up the manual on ASUS site and they list this MB as W10 64 bit and W11 under Operating System. I think you are good with Windows 11 based on Mfg website manual for this exact board. B760M-AYW WIFI D4 II

NO. I just added a Raptor Lake i5 and my old SSD to this MB and I'm running Windows 11. I used my old Samsung SSD and when I booted-up the first time, it booted successfully from the old SSD.  I was then able to, somehow, "Upgrade" to Windows 11 rather than buying a new copy.  All good but the Authentication process, though successful, took about an hour of trial-and-erro.  So, running Windows 11 right out of the box AND even with my old SSD
