Pros: No 6 pin needed. Plays almost every game at med to high settings 1080p 60fps. It's not targeted by miners. Edit- 2 years later. Go for a RX 570 instead now.
Cons: None that I can think of. The box it came in was very basic maybe.
Pros: Easy to install and setup Allows Skyrm to be played full screen at the highest settings
Cons: No Cons so far
Overall Review: Would recommend this video card
Pros: I'm on a 4+ year old computer and between work and family I am very behind in my gaming, largely focusing on older games I either want to replay or missed when first released (2005-2015 range). Bought this to rationally upgrade my video card while knowing the rest of my system is not cutting edge. Plugged in and works easily. It doesn't even require to be connected to the power supply, which threw me for a loop at first.
Cons: I managed to buy during a rebate incentive, make sure to catch it on the right side of a price cycle. If you use a small case check all the dimensions to make sure you can slot it in; on my standard ATX mid tower there was enough space.
Overall Review: Came with protective plastic caps on the PCI-E connections, which confused me at first because I'm not used to video cards coming protected like that, so I unsuccessfully tried to push it in my PCI-E slot before realizing to take off the caps! Very happy with my purchase, is there anything ASUS isn't solid at?
Pros: A great video card at a reasonable price. This was an upgrade over my old nVidia 750TI, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that no external power connector was needed; gets all it's power from the x16 PCIe slot. Newer technology nVidia cards are so expensive, and I'm not a gamer (much) so this card represented a good compromise. I now have HDR enabled on the 55" LG smart TV I use as a monitor. With the 750TI previously, the option was available but would fail, not so with the 1050TI
Cons: Not 'cutting edge'. If you're a serious gamer, you might want to shell out some $$$$$ for newer technology. However, if you're on a budget, this card will still handle most anything out there, albeit at possible a lower frame rate.
Overall Review: For the money, a great card!
Pros: No need for an extra power cord plug in, gets all the power from the mother board(75watts) plays all my games on high settings. A
Cons: no cons so far
Pros: -works -stays fairly cool under loads -gives me HD resolution by default -Fairly simple to install
Cons: -only has 4GB of VRAM -not VR ready
Overall Review: I installed this GPU for a build with a B450 series motherboard with a Ryzen 7 3800X. The GPU stays fairly cool at idle with maximum temps around 30 C in my system. I used several games to test it out once it was installed: -The Sims 4 -X3: Reunion -The Forest The only one to have any real problems was The Forest, which had some frame hanging and some FPS dips (to be expected honestly as this card doesn't really meet the minimum requirements of any VR capable game) but the game still played and the card only got up to 65 C after about two hours of playing. I am very impressed with this card especially considering that it doesn't require any PCIe power to run, all the power is supplied through the board. I would recommend this card to anyone who isn't planning on using their system to play games that require higher specifications. This card is fine for every day applications such as using the web browser, playing some low requirement games (e.g. The Sims 4), and being able to output to a monitor. Beyond that I would strongly suggest getting a beefier card with at least 6GB of VRAM for any other gaming purposes, as you will *definitely* see a difference in performance with more resource intensive games. All and all still a really good card for the price point, though.
Pros: Easy peasy install, affordable, good specs for price range
Cons: Would rather have a VGA port than DVI, or better yet just have 2x HDMI
Overall Review: Didn't really need a card this advanced for a non-gaming software dev PC. However, it installed without much fuss, works great. No complaints thus far.
Pros: Uses power from the motherboard. Low wattage. Very quiet, even with the case cover off. My GTX 760 bit the dust and I wanted to wait until the prices drop on the higher end cards. This was a great alternative until then. Was able to push the settings up a little on almost all games. So far, I am very happy with this purchase and as always, Newegg to the rescue.
Cons: The fan was making a very loud noise. I pulled card out noticed the power leads really close to the fan under the cover. I gently tugged down on the wires and it pulled away from the fan. Reinstalled and that was the problem. This happens sometimes during shipping.
Overall Review: If you have a working 760 or better, I would wait. But otherwise, I would recommend this video card.
