Pros: + Excellent cooling + Runs Quiet + Solid out of box speeds
Cons: - None
Overall Review: I have owned a ton of Asus products before. I liked my old Asus Strix GTX 980, but it did get a bit loud so I was curious how the newer triple fan cooler stacked up. Once opening the box, the first thing I noticed is that this is a big card. It is hefty and long. But it also looks great and has an appearance of a premium product. The Strix has RGB lighting, but I'll be honest, I left it at default because the red lighting already matches my setup. It may have had some extra's in the box, but lets be honest, we want to see how it performs. By this point, everyone knows how the 1070 compares to other cards in terms of gaming performance, so what I will present here is my experience with temps under gaming load, stock clocks with no extra voltage and peak stable OC compared to my other 1070, a MSI GTX 1070 Gaming. Using Afterburner, I generally set a custom fan curve with 20% until 50C and then ramp it to 30% at 60C and 60% at 70C and 70% at 75C. For myself, I find this a solid balance between noise and cooling. Using this curve and leaving all silders at default positions, except for power target, which was maxed (voltage left at default). This sample ramped all the way to 2050mhz and held steady. Temps barely crested 60C with a peak of 62C with 100% GPU load playing witcher 3 @ 1440p. In comparison, with the same settings, my MSI card peaked at 1970Mhz at 66C. Noise on both cards was barely audible in my environment. Upping voltage made only a little difference sadly, just as was the case with my MSI 1070. The Asus was able to do 2102mhz 100% stable and artifact free while the MSI clocked a bit lower at 2079mhz stable. Both cards were able to up the memory +600 to 9200mhz. Temps only raised slightly when overclocked to 65C when OC'd with the Asus. Power usage is pretty amazing for the performance delivered. I personally do not care all that much as I do not game 24/7, but the peak 180W of usage at full tilt gaming (not system wattage, just the GPU) is impressive considering my old 980ti would chew up 100W more for about the same performance. So long story short, this is a great card. It's big, but runs fast and quiet. It is very solid for 1440p gaming with high settings and is priced where it is still sort of obtainable by most enthusiasts. It has a solid 3 year warranty that is transferable. I like it. 5 star.
Pros: I have really enjoyed this card. The quality of the parts used in this product seem to be a step above the competition. I have the card overclocked a far amount and it runs like a champ. The Aura software and the rgb lights make this card great for showing off as well. The frame that goes thru the card is solid and you don't see any sag due to the weight.
Cons: The card itself is near perfect and would have received 5/5 but I can't go thru this review without mentioning the scam of a company that Asus uses. 4MyRebates to be clear I received my rebate, but not after having to repeatedly communicate with them to force them to send it. Sent 6/1/17 Approved 6/30/17 After 12 weeks not 8-10 I contacted them and asked them where it was. They told me that it slipped thru and they would mail it. A week later I contact them again and told them I would fill reports if they didn't send it and it was mailed the next day. I should not have to fight with them to receive a rebate 14 weeks after its approved. Also to prove it wasn't a one time thing two friends ordered the same card with the same rebates and didn't contact them. They are still waiting to this day and were approved the same day 6/30. This isn't a case of us screwing up the rebates stupid rules. This is a case of the rebates companies trying to get away with theft.
Pros: This card is quiet! upgrading from an r9 390 that recently died. temps maxes out at 68 C, and that's what it peaked at over 4 hours of gaming in the witcher 3, on overclock. overclocked with no voltage, remains at 2100 mhz core clock, and memory was able to get to 8750 stable after many hours of gameplay. fan headers on card, nifty feature. don't know if people need it, I connected it with an extra fan inside the case directly in front of the gpu, just for fun. gpu tweak 2 is a good program, but had some issues, (see below) It has lighting effects that you can control! arua interface easy to use. a year free of xsplit, a game streaming recording software, so if you want to try that go ahead!
Cons: Overclocking was good, but voltage increase did almost nothing (read below) gpu tweak issues. rgb lighting is not the brightest, and the lighting is primarily on the end of the card that the power connects to. If your case has a window that doesn't span the whole side of the case, its something to think about, since the card is long. white light is not white. Its actually a sort of lavender color. so its not really accurate.
Overall Review: overclocking this card was easy. gpu tweak works well, just one thing to be very wary off. Just like any other tool, you can set it so that it sets the overclock at launch. however, if your computer crashes because you got to the point where you hit the limit, it doesn't reset when it reboots. It literally keeps the settings that crashes the computer, basically forcing the pc to crash on start up every time. Had to deal with that. Just make sure that when you are experimenting to have that setting unchecked. Also, you can set the voltage to +100. I achieved an overclock of 2101 mhz while gaming with no voltage, with 8750 on the memory. I couldn't manually adjust the sliders past +115 on the core clock else the computer would crash, but with the voltage to +100 the card boosted to 2126 mhz. Interestingly enough, the actually voltage was locked. At stock it runs at 1.050v. with the +100 it peaked at 1.093v, usually staying at 1.080v. I was able to overclock the memory to 9050, but It effected my performance by 0, so I run it at stock voltage. There was just no point to it. When I got this card it was 469 dollars. I wouldn't pay more than that. 980tis are dropping in price here on newegg. if you need performance now, or need to upgrade due to a failed card (like me) you can pick a 980ti for around 400 dollars, rather than 500 on this guy, If you want something slightly more future proof wait for this card to be around 450. I have had the card for only 2 days, but I am loving it, and can't stop playing games! I will update if I find anything new out.
Pros: Can reach 2114 MHz GPU and 9200 Mhz memory but stable at around 2100 and 9000 MHz Multiple HDMI. Great for HTPC as well. Runs cool will hit 64 C at those max clock. Pretty good. Silent when Idle and doing basic PC task Will stay silent for no taxing games or if running 10800 Looks great with Aura lighting 2 fan connectors
Cons: It's a very large card. Be sure you check your case measurements Asus GPU Tweak II is decent, but MSI Afterburner has it beat. GPU Tweak would reset my OC profiles smh It's expensive but worth it.
Overall Review: Here's the bottom line. All 1070s run about the same OC speeds give or take a few bad cards. But this Strix1070 OC is a great card because it overclocks very well and has great fans that produce very low noise. Plus it has a few other things that many other cards don't have such as 2 HDMI and 2 fan connectors that spool up based upon GPU temps. So IMO its worth the purchase over other 1070s. Also this is the best card for gamers who also use their PC as a HTPC due to 2 HDMI connections in the back.
Pros: - High clock & boost clock. - Low temps 54°C idle and 67°C on full load. - RGB lighting, even on the ROG logo on the backplate. - Low power consumption. - It's a beautiful card. - Runs Overwatch maxed out at 100+ fps
Cons: - A bit more expensive than the other non-reference cards. - Quite large (300mm) - ASUS OC software isn't very good. Use MSI Afterburner instead.
Overall Review: This card demolishes anything you throw at it, while looking completely awesome.
Pros: -Fast Delivery, Easy to set-up. -RGB leds are easy to set up with the AURA proggram included and they look awesome. -Easy to OC with the included proggram (GPU Tweak II) -Works really well in SLI.
Cons: -GPU TWEAK II (proggram included) sometimes made me have blue screens of death. Annoying but easy to fix. In fact, leave it on gaming mode, unninstall it and you will still be running it on OC mode without crashes =D.
Overall Review: -If you're planning on playing on 4k, I would recommend going for 2 of them instead of only one 1080 by example. They give you approximatively 1.5 power of a 1080 combined. In conclusion, very great product. Ended up buying two of them and really glad I did.
Pros: Before I replaced my aging EVGA GTX 680 I updated the graphics drivers, installed the Asus GTX 1070 and my PC rebooted like nothing happened straight to my desktop in the proper resolution so I'm happy with that. So far its been running cool and quiet never exceeding 70ish degrees in benchmarks and often rarely breaking 60 degrees in games. Using MSI Afterburn I've seen it boost as high as 2050mhz in a couple games with only Skyrim 32 bit having lag from frame time spikes but I think its mostly the game engine in that case.
Cons: Newegg charged me twice on this purchase, once for $410 for the GPU and once $59.99 for the "free" game that I could have purchased on Steam for $30. I find this padding of game sales to be deceptive at best and if I could I'd ask for a refund on the game. This would be a 5 star review if not for this shifty billing practice by Newegg. Newegg has always delivered my orders in a timely manner at a good price but this billing practice seems questionable to me.
Overall Review: I've generally bought EVGA GPUs but I've been very happy with my purchase from Asus and would recommend them to others looking for a quality graphics card. My only real complaint is that I can't sync the RGB with my Gigabyte motherboard so unless I have it set to a single static color it kind of looks like the Vegas strip at night or a christmas tree with different colors cycling on the motherboard and GPU so its a bit unsightly. In the future if I purchase a motherboard and GPU with RGB I'll likely buy the same brand.

Pros: Working well in my first week of ownership. Card runs cool even with ASUS Tweak II quick settings to OC mode. Be sure to measure case space for this card. It's long.
Cons: None so far. Hoping things stay this way. I will update if anything changes in this area.
Overall Review: The reason I bought this card was not for gaming. I am not much of a gamer any more but I can appreciate those who do. I bought this card for my other hobby in 3D. I use various 3D programs for work (Maya, C4D & 3DS Max) and at home I happen to use 3D Studio Max with V-Ray 3.04.02 as my render engine (I am aware of several other render engines as well). Included in the V-ray renderer is a GPU renderer called V-Ray RT. I am using this new card to do my GPU rendering and thus far I’m enjoying the results. In my Initial test I was able to take a frame that took 1.5hrs using the V-Ray CPU bucket renderer , down to 10min. a frame using V-Ray RT GPU rendering in conjunction with the new Denoiser Pass (which helps greatly). In my second test on a very simple scene, my CPU render times from 4.5-10min. went down to 2.5-4min. per frame using the GPU. So, I am quite pleased with this card. Of course I would love to have bought the 1080 but at this time I could only justify the cost of the 1070. If things continue to go well, I may purchase a second card to further decrease render times. What is great about using the card for GPU rendering is that SLI is not necessary. V-ray will use any available GPU installed. I also have an older GTX 580 installed and I could select which GPUs I wanted to use for rendering (one or the other or even both). Also in my second test, I am rendering an animation so, using ASUS Tweak II software I set the settings to OC mode and went to bed. I checked the render in the morning which was still going and the temperature of the GPU was in the mid-40s. I have seen it go into the 50s but generally this card runs cool for my purposes. I don’t often see postings concerning this subject matter but rather mostly gaming. If others are doing the same thing as I am, postings on their experiences would be appreciated. I hope this posting was helpful to someone out there… Cheers,
