Works great, except for when you need to repair it with ASUS through RMA 5/24/2020 5:01:04 PM

Pros: It's a GTX 1080TI, if you were able to snag one when they were brand new, it will easily last you as a premium GPU for several years.

Cons: This is nothing about the card itself, but rather ASUS as a company. Their stuff works great when it works, simple as that. However, once something breaks and you need to send it in for repair, be ready to not hear anything about your card for weeks on end. I RMA'd my card about a month and a half ago, as it was causing my computer to BSOD about 30% of the time whenever I ran anything that utilized my GPU. As unfortunately this happened during COVID-19, I expected longer lead times due to the fact that logistics and personnel capacity would be affected. What I didn't expect, however, was to hear absolutely nothing from ASUS in regards to the status of my RMA, except for that they are "waiting on replacement parts with a longer lead time" for 6 weeks. I tried to ask support if they had any idea how long it would take for parts to arrive or as to the status of said parts. To my surprise, they told me that my GPU had been deemed "unrepairable" (which wasn't mentioned on my RMA status page), and that they were waiting for a replacement. Six whole weeks for a replacement GTX 1080 TI. I asked them if it would be possible to do some kind of equivalent exchange, as it seemed like there was no way they would be able to find another GTX 1080 TI in stock as manufacturers had already stopped producing them, but I was told that ASUS does not have an exchange policy, so I would have to wait until they found a 1080 TI to send back to me, which they haven't. Of course I asked for an advance RMA before this whole process began, but that was denied.

Overall Review: If you can find a GTX 1080 TI for a decent price, it is a very good card that will last you for several years. However, don't expect it to be repaired/replaced in a timely manner if you ever buy from ASUS.

Great card obviously 7/23/2019 6:28:02 AM

Pros: I cant hear it, it looks good, very fast, tons of ram, no problem running games 1440 at 144hz. Averaging about 125fps in PUBG on Ultra. Was averaging about 100fps with 980ti on ultra. PUBG hasnt even been optimized.

I have owned 2 of these for 2 years now, almost to the day. Never have given me a single problem and I run them hard and often. They have certainly been worth the exorbitant price.

Cons: My only beef with this card is the lighting. For example the reds are not red but rather hot pink. So it looks red from the side but the ROG logo on the top looks hot pink to me. Im not gonna knock a star for this because compared to the Strix 980ti its huge improvement.

Overall Review: This card is great and i highly recommend it.

Simply One of the Best Ever! 3/18/2019 7:22:48 AM

Pros: Can't figure out what the complains are all about. Simply a kick *** card, and this is coming from an overpriced Titan X Maxwell. There's no comparison. It brought a new level of immersion to Oculus, everything is smoother. The issue of "sag" is baffling. I just used screws instead of relying on the tool-less braces, plus having a reinforced PCIe slot doesn't hurt. "Coil whine",
I don't hear no freakin' coil whine, I don't hear anything! Maybe when my stethoscope comes, I'll listen in. You will be taken aback when you see this thing up close. It's like putting an Airbus 380 next to an Md 80 And it IS heavier than avg., what do you expect? Too busy drooling over how FSX (box) has smoothed out to pay any attention to LED's and " Badlands". I can see this bad boy driving my 4k 144hz 32 inch with ease when they come out.
***UPDATE**** March 2019
Guess what? This is STILL a SUPER Card!! No heat issues , nothing slows it down (not even Manhattan X). I see
people on here talking about dead cards. What are you doing? Overclocking it way out of spec? THEN you want to get on here and say it's their fault?
On the con side, I guess pure and simple GREED has caused this thing to surge in price. GOOD GRIEF!

Cons: NO Cons, wish I could give it more stars.

Overall Review: I'd be SUPER hesitant to buy one of these at today's prices!

Card is dead after a couple days of use 10/18/2018 1:06:13 PM

Pros: .

Cons: I bought this card but had to wait to install it, as my case (very new) was not delivered on time. I am past the 30 days to return to Newegg. Once installed it worked for a couple days then died. I tried every driver I could find, new and old, to no avail. Tried a 1060 and a 1070 that are in other PCs in my house - both worked fine without any messing around.

Contacted Asus to get this resolved at Newegg's suggestion. It has been 5 days and somewhere around 5-6 phone calls. No resolution. They first took a couple days to decide I should send it to them for them to work on it "for 7-10 days." I asked about shipping time, and they conceded it would likely be more like 3-4 weeks. Then, when I said that was ridiculous they offered to get me a different card. I asked, "A NEW one?" They said no, a refurbished one. I refused that. I stated I want a new card or I just want my money back. NOW they want to try to find me a new card. It's been 24 hours and nothing.

Overall Review: Asus has really fallen off in the past few years. There are quality issues across the board and inflated price tags to go with it. If you check out reviews on numerous of their products you will see this is the case and how other manufacturers have closed the gap/surpassed them. Their threadripper mobos have dead DIMM slots and their B450 mobos have been surpassed by MSI at a lesser price. Apparently, customer service is also not their specialty.
