Pros: Card lights up white on the ASUS logo and when power connectors are probably seated. If they're not the LEDs for the card go red. Incredibly high memory clock @11016 , and destroys everything that I throw at it comfortably at 144hz. Runs cool idle, 27c. Core clock hits up to 1898mhz,
Cons: Card only has HDMI 2.0 and Display Port, generally shouldn't be a problem but some other 1080 TI cards come w/ other ports. Recommend manually setting fan-speed/fan-curve because under load it wasn't utilizing fans optimally.
Overall Review: Power hungry, but what do you expect? Combined w/ a 8700k she runs everything like a dream.
Pros: I am a an independent video producer who had migrated most of my post workflow to Resolve and found myself hitting the wall with my older, smaller graphics card. I recently built a new machine, but had to keep my old card due to the insane prices that were in place for a while. I got this in last week, and now I can grade 4K cinema DNG RAW with multiple nodes without batting an eye. Render times are fast, the system is rock-solid, and the card is running very cool.
Cons: Installation instructions are pretty lame, power cabling had me confused for a bit. Even the on-line resources were not that much help, but I was able to get it figured out without damaging card.
Overall Review: I built my system into a two-sided server case so that all my drives are in a separate area with their own cooling. I was a little concerned about exhaust on the mobo side, and went with a blower style to keep from dumping heat into that side of the case. Reviews said the card was solid and ran cool, I can confirm that - even at stock settings the card temps are low when under load.
Pros: It is actually very quiet. Running smooth and fast.
Cons: None.
Pros: - Blows heat out the back of the case - Seems to run cooler than FE cards.
Cons: - The fan is loud when you crank it up to anything above about 60%
Overall Review: If you're running a hot system, this is one of the best cards to install. It uses a blower style fan which cools the card by blowing air through the card and out the back of the case. I can place my hand in the case next to this card and the only heat I feel is if I touch the back of the card. I highly recommend it if you're buying these up for multi-gpu systems.
Pros: I bought this GPU specifically to run VR graphics; and it does well. It also runs other high resolution games (ie: Elder Scrolls Online) well, too.
Cons: Like the other commentators who gave the card 1 egg, the card is loud. I have a sturdy Azza Zen case, so the noise is not too bad and is usually unnoticeable when playing games. Since it serves my purpose of playing VR, I gave it 3 eggs. The free gifts that were suppose to come with the GPU were not offered during purchase, and when I attempted to acquire the game codes after purchase, the Newegg site attempted to charge my account. Since the other commentators stated that getting support from Newegg is a hassle, I am not going to bother trying to get the free gifts. BLUF...the card is loud and you will not get your free gift.
Overall Review: Overall, the card doesn't seem bad. If you are not playing VR, there are quieter GPUs out there. If you are playing VR, you may want to compare with other GPUs. I bought this one because it had the highest specifications at the time of purchase.
Pros: Nearly silent, stays fairly cool with my setup and I use fans only. Runs everything I throw at it in stunning 4k at 60fps with settings tweaking of course. I do not even overclock this card and I get these results. Less expensive than other 1080 TI models.
Cons: It is new so there's no telling how long it will last. $709.00 at the time of writing this review so it's expensive.
Pros: - Came with Destiny 2 - Ti reference performance at a great price - Isn't gaudy
Cons: - no backplate (even the reference had a backplate) - fan is loud during long nights of failing in Destiny 2's Leviathan
Overall Review: Overpriced as of the time of writing this review (1400!) but sub 1k Cad I couldn't be happier!
Pros: Using this for 1440p overkill, anyone reading this already knows what they're getting into, this chipset is the best GPU ever made, it's just insane...170fps average in Doom Vulkan @ 1440p/Ultra which just blew my mind, can't wait to try this on a Gsync monitor soon i haven't owned this card for very long, nor am i technically proficient/patient enough to really grind away at seeing what this thing can do in overclocking, but please keep reading through to "Other thoughts" if you're thinking of getting this specific product
Cons: Nothing major for the product itself, admittedly haven't been using it for very long...however please read through to "other thoughts" the blower shroud felt a little flimsy, particularly the backlit "ASUS" badge on the side, don't push on that during insertion as it felt like it would absolutely give way to your fingers, and there's no backplate on this product if that's important to you
Overall Review: Got a call around mid-day Friday from a number in Wisconsin who appeared to represent the marketplace seller (BuyVPC.com) to ask me some questions about this purchase..."we noticed you haven't provided feedback on the product yet (i've had the thing for barely 3 days at this point) so we just wanted to make sure you were satisfied" they asked if i was satisfied with the purchase, if it was for personal or business use, and a few other things i can't remember...it all felt pretty boilerplate they weren't pushy or awkward but i was pretty short with them as they called me right in the middle of a PUBG Solo FPP firefight personally, this interaction bothered me and i don't like knowing that the seller gave my personal phone number to some random marketing company when an email with these questions would have sufficed, so if you're going to get this or any other short-stock item from a newegg marketplace seller, be prepared for something like this
