Nice mid-level gaming rig 7/2/2020 3:20:01 PM

Pros: Decent specs for the money, although I got it on sale for less than the current sale. It runs like a champ on every game I've thrown at: 60fps solid on High to Ultra settings ( depending on the game). I suspect you could turn off v-sync and get higher frame rates but, again, this is a mid-level rig. The case is a nice design and I like that it comes with a clear panel and a standard side panel. The CPU fan is nice and quiet, even under heavy gaming loads.

The RGB is nice.

Cons: There is a top and front RGB strip ( which lights the inside of the case and the front zig-zag emblem.) Fine for the price. However, the components in the case are so hideous that I don't see any reason to have them lit. The GTX 1650 has no case so all you get to see is the backside of the circuit board. The RAM ( of which there are only TWO dimm slots, fyi ) is also uncovered. In this age of designer memory heat sinks and RGB, this is probably the ugliest stick of RAM I've ever seen; just bare circuit board and chips.

I mentioned that overclocking is probably not recommended. That's because there is only a single
case fan on the rear. If you want to tweak your RAM and CPU timings, keep this in mind. Heat may be an issue. I'm not even sure the case has vents for additional fans. I immediately purchased better RAM and more of it so I've been putting off really digging around the inside of this case until it shows up. The 8GB stick is adequate. I just wanted faster RAM with RGB and more of it.

Why they chose a APU for this rig is a mystery except that maybe you get decent core timings
while keeping the price down.

Storage: 500GB is not going to be adequate for long. However, the M.2 SSD is super-snappy. Be prepared to uninstall your least played games.

My final complaint: There is absolutely ZERO information about this motherboard available online. Before my purchase I had no idea how many RAM slots it had, M.2. slots, case fans or sizes, SATA headers; nothing, no diagram or layout of the mobo whatsoever. This PC is really designed for the person who wants to game and doesn't really care about the details. And it suits that bill perfectly.

Overall Review: For the price, this is a total win. I would absolutely recommend this rig for anyone who needs a mid-level rig but doesn't want to build their own. This thing is ready to go right out of the box and is expandable enough to remain relevant for a few more years.
