How much power does it require?

After a bit of googling, the GTX Titan Black has a Maximim Power Usage (TDP) of 250W, but is recommended with at least a 600W PSU. (Heck, just go 1000W over that with the LEPA G-1600. Plenty of growing room!) DON'T SKIMP ON A POWER SUPPLY! A $175 PSU might destroy your $1000 graphics card. And your $400 CPU. And everything else.

is this product coming back and will 4 of them work on an ax1200i?

HI Chris, Thanks for your inquire about the ASUS GTXTITANBLACK-6GD5 GeForce GTX TITAN BLACK 6GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card. It seems we are on the same hunt. I am also looking for a board that will accomodate this card. Yes the product is comming back, I have one sitting in my lap right now. The 2 issues for me are the motherboard conpatibility and the power supply. Currently I am running a PNY 8800 GTS and a WT 5500 power supply, neither of which will handel will handel the Titan Black GDD5. The Titan requires an 8 & 4 pin connector which my current power supply does not have. I made the mistake of going to my usual confuser hang out to see if I could find a cable adapter, apparently the answer is no and they sold me a Thermaltake 650 Watt power supply that not only did not work coming out of the box but wad not 100% compatible with my mother board, missing a 4 prong cable. So first issue I discovered for the new 6GD5 was matching up a power supply. The Titan also is a power glutt so I am looking for at least a 1200 series power supply. The second issue is space assuming you are mounting everything internally. The Titan (1) will mount on the board but I loose 2 disk connector slots do to the length of the Titan. So I need to match a new motherboard and power supply to get the power and cabling requirements. 3rd issue is my box which is a normal midsize box that currently handles 3 drives, 2 DVD R/W and a multi flash drive unit. Just for 1 Titan GDDR5 I have to start looking at my old tower box to see there are any mother board and power supply issues. You are looking to install 4 Titans? Will you install the all internally or link to a separate box? While the Titan only plugs into one strip it covers 2 so your motherboard needs at least 8 strips. You may be able to split the 8 & pin connectors using adaptors, but think about power and major cooling needs. let me know what you find and stay in touch.
