Question 1

How does the ROG Ryujin III 240 ARGB compare with the ROG Strix LC III 240 ARGB White Edition?

Accepted Answer

Choose the Ryujin III 240 ARGB if you want a 3.5-inch LCD, an embedded VRM fan, and an 8th-generation Asetek pump. Choose the Strix LC III 240 ARGB White Edition if you prefer a more conventional 240mm design and do not need the Ryujin’s display or embedded-fan features. ASUS lists the Strix LC III 240 ARGB with a 7th-generation V2 Asetek pump, while the Ryujin III uses an 8th-generation Asetek pump. Question 2

Is the ROG Ryujin III 240 ARGB a worthwhile upgrade over the Ryujin II 240 ARGB?

Accepted Answer

The Ryujin III 240 ARGB is the more capable version when you want the newer 8th-generation Asetek pump, an upgraded Axial-tech embedded fan, and a 3.5-inch LCD with expanded custom-animation support. The Ryujin II 240 ARGB remains suitable if its lower-generation pump and older display implementation meet your needs, but the upgrade is most meaningful for new builds or users who specifically want the newer cooling and monitoring features. Question 3

Should I buy the ASUS ROG Ryujin III 240 ARGB or the ROG Ryuo III 240 ARGB?

Accepted Answer

Choose the ROG Ryujin III 240 ARGB if you want a full 3.5-inch customizable LCD, an embedded fan for motherboard VRM cooling, and magnetic daisy-chainable ARGB radiator fans. Choose the ROG Ryuo III 240 ARGB if you prefer a simpler 240mm ASUS cooler with an AniMe Matrix display and do not need the Ryujin’s LCD monitoring and VRM-fan features. Both use an 8th-generation Asetek pump and a 240mm radiator. ([rog.asus.com](https://rog.asus.com/us/cooling/cpu-liquid-coolers/rog-ryujin/rog-ryujin-iii-240-argb/spec/?utm_source=openai))

Question 4

Is the ROG Ryujin III 240 ARGB or 360 ARGB better for a high-end gaming PC?

Accepted Answer

The 240 ARGB is the better fit when your case supports only a 240mm radiator or when you want easier installation. The 360 ARGB is better for sustained rendering, benchmarking, or other workloads that continuously load the CPU because its larger radiator provides more heat-dissipation area. Both models use an 8th-generation Asetek pump and 2200 RPM magnetic ARGB fans, so the main decision is radiator capacity and case compatibility rather than platform features. Question 5

Is this cooler quiet enough for everyday use?

Accepted Answer

The listed radiator fan noise is up to 36.45 dB(A), and fan and pump speeds can be adjusted through Armoury Crate. Lower speed settings can reduce noise, while higher speeds prioritize cooling performance.

Question 6

Will this 240mm liquid cooler fit in my PC case?

Accepted Answer

It requires a case that supports a 240mm radiator with approximately 279.5mm of radiator length, plus room for the pump block and tubing. Check the case manufacturer's radiator-clearance specifications for the intended front, top, or side mounting position before buying.

Question 7

Can the 3.5-inch LCD display show custom GIFs and system information?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The LCD can display hardware information and customized GIF animations. Armoury Crate is used to configure the display, upload animations, and select system monitoring information.

Question 8

Is the ASUS ROG Ryujin III 240 ARGB WHT compatible with my CPU socket?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The cooler supports AMD AM5 and AM4 sockets, plus Intel LGA 1700, LGA 1200, and LGA 115x sockets. Confirm your motherboard socket and included mounting hardware before installation.

Question 9

Who is the ASUS ROG Ryujin III 240 ARGB WHT best suited for?

Accepted Answer

It is best suited for desktop PC builders who want liquid CPU cooling, a compact 240mm radiator, white styling, ARGB lighting, and an integrated display for system monitoring or custom animations. Its trade-offs are the need for radiator clearance, liquid-cooling installation, software setup, and a higher feature focus than a basic CPU cooler.

Question 10

Will the ASUS ROG Ryujin III 240 ARGB WHT fit my PC case?

Accepted Answer

Fit depends on whether the case supports a 279.5mm radiator and two 120mm fans, plus clearance around the motherboard, RAM, GPU, and drive bays. A Reddit buyer specifically raised concerns about 240mm radiator clearance despite a case being advertised for 360mm radiators, so the case manufacturer’s detailed compatibility measurements should be checked before purchase.
