Pros: Inexpensive, great performance and runs great. Came with 3 free games due to a promotion making this buy an even better deal. No major issues ran into after 2 weeks of extensive use. Will update this review if I run into any.
Cons: As of time of initial purchase, the GPU drivers on the ASUS website was a little behind and I opted to get them from AMD instead. Packaged software was a little underwhelming but serviceable. Card runs a little hot on default settings.
Pros: -Cheap(was on sale)
-Comes with amd games
Cons: - A bit loud
Overall Review: -Great product for a cheap price
Pros: Price was great when bought (for the current market, not comparing to MSRP or release)
Nice selection of ports (2x HDMI, 2x DP, 1x DVI)
Aesthetically simple and nice, no RGB or anything uneccessary
Solid build, shroud doesn't feel too cheap
Cons: Not sure if I have a faulty HDMI cable or HDMI port (more likely it's the cable and not the GPU), but when I connected two monitors to this to my girlfriend's computer the secondary display would go black and turn back on causing whatever she was doing on the main display to stutter.
If anyone has a fix please put it in the Q&A section or message me, would love to find a way to make a dual monitor set up work for her.
Overall Review: Fan noise. I didn't list it as a pro/con because different people, different preferences/tolerance.
Fans are fairly quiet under normal loads for daily tasks, and light gaming (CS:GO, Diablo III, League of Legends etc) I would rate it as around slightly quieter than a normal conversation.
Under load, like streaming for example, the fans do turn up a bit more (depending on your fan curve etc) but if you have a set of headphones (which I recommend regardless of what you're doing) it's not a bother, and noise isn't loud enough to really be picked up by a mic when streaming.
Pros: I've used this graphics card for 1080p gaming for nearly a year now and has worked without a hitch.
Cons: However recently one of the fans decided to stop working properly suffering from internal resistance. This has caused its performance to fall.
Pros: Very good value for 200 bucks with 2 free games that already has value of 100 bucks. You are getting this for just 100 bucks for good graphics card.
This thing supports free sync 2.0!(which i dont have :( )
Runs heavily modded skyrim with acceptable frame rate.
Cons: It has well known issue of coil whine, but most of gpu that has big power house has common problem as well.
Got around low 20 percentile on gpu alone(tried multiple attempts but similar result).
Gets pretty hot in full load, might wanna think about undervolting it before AMD release new software.(they are planning to release the program pretty soon)
Overall Review: People might consider to RMA depends on how loud is this coil whine it. Personally mine was good too bad, so i will probably keep it around until it gets worse. Planning to keep it this way before my warrenty ends, because in performance wise it is acceptable.
Pros: good fps
Cons: broke fan blade
Overall Review: need help with getting new GPU with the warrenty one of fans blades broke off somehow. other than that good fps in game
Pros: With amd game gift, the price is low.
Cons: Temperature easily rises to 86 degrees. Undevolting is nessasy.
Pros: RX580 with 8gb memory, Small form factor, fairly fast
Cons: Undersized cooling fin array. I can actually smell it getting hot--not for gaming--perhaps youtube. Fans push that hot electronic smell right out of the pc case. Removing the side of the case drops the temp a little adding a box fan helps.
Overall Review: I have: the RX580 Sapphire Nitro + and MSI Armor 8gb versions as well. Both perform better and run a good 10-15 degree Celsius cooler under the same load. (All three cards were bought on sale for the same price--NewEgg limited to 1 of each at the time)
Built 1 new system and was looking to replace my XFX 7990 for a lower wattage near par performance card. Well that would not be this card. 7990 remains in my older PC, this card sits in the box. My older PC has nearly all ASUS parts, except the XFX7990. really feel let down by ASUS on this one just like with their stellar Blu-ray burners I bought that do not work on windows 10 anymore. ASUS fan no more?
