Can you use this card for triple monitor gaming or is it best to have 2 in SLI?

I currently have 2 in SLI and use it on an ultra wide monitor and it's fantastic.   I cant answer your question on 3 monitors and 1 card however as it's not how I have it set up.

I would suggest however if you plan on using 4k at some point and have more than one monitor, 2 in SLI is strongly recommended.

Im on 3 1440p monitors an i get great fps on both panoramic an in multi screen on eso, wot,warthunder ect.above 60fps with oc it dose even better so depending on what rez you're running i think it a wonderful buy all that on one card

All the current Nvidia gpus should support G-sync including this matrix platinum gtx 980.

Will work on PCI Express 2.0x16 slot?

yes it will work in a 2.0 slot 1920 x1080  an 2560x1440 resolutions but for  4k or better would be restricted by a terrible word called bottle necking

Running on a ASUS ROG Maximus V Formula Mother board with a CPU = Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W BX80637I73770K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000.

This is Dual 23in ASUS VX238H monitors running currently on a EVGA GTX660.

1) Will this card be okay to run on this set up if I simply swap out the GTX660?
2) What sort of bottleneck will occur if I simply swap the cards?
3) What sort of performance Boost will I see?

1. Yes, this card should be able to run the setup just fine after swapping the card! As a  precautionary measure, you may want to completely uninstall your NVIDIA drivers prior to installing the new card and reinstall them after installing this one.
2. As for bottlenecks you really won't be running into any running two 1080p monitors!
3. You should be able to run most current gen games at ultra settings on 1080p and very high settings if you upgrade to 1440p monitors at some point in the future.

Can you set the led to just show one color (setting it to just the color red)?

Nope. The colores tell how hard it's working.     Blue yellow and red.     I think you can turn them off though.   And I haven't used my computer in about 4 months so they may have had an update that allows it but at the time i purchased it that was not an option.

The LED near the power connector are white.

Will this card work within the new Asus G20 gaming desktops? They're kind of small, hence my concern.

No, the frame that holds the cards in the G20 looks like it won't fit this inside. The bulky housing of the Matrix's fans would be what stops you from getting it in there.

Yes,is the short an sweet answer. well the CPU sockets for the heroes 7 will work good with this card so another words whichever CPU you are using will be more than sufficient there will be no such things like bottlenecking i hate that word but it dose happen in some cases Not your great motherboard choice good luck with your build

Does this card support 4K?

Yes although, be prepared to experience some 4k early adopter glitches with windows.  I've noticed while running windows 7 the card operates fine in games and watching video, but windows does NOT like 4k resolution so much.  I've gotten locked to a black screen jumping out of games before.  I got around this by running all my games in windowed borderless mode.  Perhaps this has been fixed in windows 8.1?  But I can't say for sure.  Also, to get full use of 4k capability online, make sure your Internet connection is up to snuff.  Otherwise, you'll have a beautiful picture interrupted by a choppy data stream.

It needs to have two 8 pin power connectors from the power supply - so 300 watts max - but I believe it uses less than that. It also has a Molex connector you can connect up but you only need that if you are going to cool with liquid nitrogen.
