SupremeFX Black

Pioneered on ROG, SupremeFX has been the standard by which all other audio solutions are compared. Adding an op-amp, DAC, and headphone amp to an already powerful combination of hardware, lets SupremeFX Shielding and ELNA premium audio capacitors take audio performance beyond the limits of the ALC 1150 codec. Meanwhile, a Cirrus Logic CS4398 DAC joins a TPA6120A2 headphone amp to deliver 120dB SNR and 600 load impedance to ensure powerful, immersive sound when gaming on headphones. Lastly, ROG Sonic Radar software helps FPS gamers localize sounds via on-screen radar.

 

ROG RAMDisk

Game faster from start to finish by combining ROG hardware and software. ROG RAMDisk software makes the most of the DIMM design on the Rampage IV Black Edition by creating lightning-fast virtual drives for temporary storage. RAMDisk can also be used for partial caching to automatically store large, slow-loading files like maps into memory.

Intel Gb LAN with GameFirst

The latest Intel 1217 Gb LAN minimizes CPU overhead under high bandwidth utilization, which combined with ROG GameFirst ensures the lowest ping times. For wireless scenarios, the included mPCle Combo combines 802.11ac Wi-Fi/Bluetooth 4.0 and M.2/NGFF slot in one.

Premium Overclocking Components, Including OC Panel

BlackWing Choke, 90% efficient NexFET MOSFETs and 10K Black Metallic Capacitors lay the groundwork for Extreme Engine Digi+ to provide the highest, most stable overclocking. The bundled OC Panel lets you make the most of these superior components, with two different modes. In Normal Mode, OC Panel installs into an available 5 ¼in. drive bay and displays CPU temperature, ratios, BCLK and fan RPM. Switching to Extreme Mode and utilizing the OC Panel as a handheld device unlocks its enthusiast overclocking functionality. Connectors for Subzero Sense, VGA SMB and VGA hotwire are available directly on the OC Panel, as well as remote power and reset buttons.

 

New UEFI with SSD Secure Erase

The new black-themed Rampage IV Black Edition UEFI provides significant upgrades to both EZ and Advanced modes, as well as SSD Secure Erase to completely wipe repurposed drives and restore factory write speeds. For faster setup, EZ mode now includes date/time, fan profiles and XMP memory profiles. In Advanced Mode, both individual settings as well as submenus can now quickly be accessed by placing them into the My Favorites tab or the Shortcuts menu. Lastly, changes to the UEFI can easily be tracked by looking in the Last Modified Log or by leaving notes using the new Quick Note function.
