Overall Review: Motherboard is great and works even better once drivers are uninstalled. I noticed one comment mentioned subpar wifi speeds, however they must have forgot to download updated drivers. My wifi speeds increased by a factor of 2.4x after installing drivers.
Pros: -Attractive design -RGB headers and comes with Asus Aura software, which is good for basic RGB setup. -Supports Ryzen 5000 series AFTER bios update (thank goodness for the EZFlash utility) -Asus BIOS has a lot of built-in features and good overclocking support, although I found it a little more difficult to navigate than my previous MSI BIOS.
Cons: -The pictures on Newegg's product page are deceptive. They indicate this motherboard has three sets of LEDs - two on the shroud, one on the PCH heatsink. However, in reality, only the ROG logo is LED-lit. -No USB Type C header. At this price, it should include one. -Issues with LAN chipset. Kept dropping the wired connection (widespread issue, google it). I was able to get mine working, but be aware of it.
Overall Review: I went with the Rog Strix B550-F as it was right around my price target and beat out the lower-end X570 boards in terms of appearance and features. Overall it's a very solid board. If you're buying it to pair with a new Ryzen 5000 series processor, make sure you have a USB flash drive to update the BIOS or it won't boot!
Pros: -Works with DOCP (AMD's type of XMP) -Great I/O expansion. Can use all expansion connections without throttling -Aura RGB hardware works great with corsair equipment and corsair software suite. -Overclocking and BIOS settings appear simple and straight forward. (I haven't tried to OC) -Works well with AMD Stock Cooler, easy install, and can control the wraith RGB with a header without issue. (Still using the Corsair Software suite)
Cons: -Non as of yet, it has done everything I asked of it. I will update as issues or perks arise.
Overall Review: Old Build: -i7 - 4770k -MSI Z87 MPower -GTX 760 (Had SLI plans, but since SLI was dying I gave uip on that) -2x4gb DDR3 1600 (Had plans to get 2 more sticks) New Build: Ryzen 7 3700X ASUS ROG STRIX B-550 - F RTX 2070 Super 4x8gb Corsair RGB Vengence Pro DDR4 3200 I've seen a huge improvement over my old machine. Granted the old machine had an upgrade path that I didn't follow. If I had to advise anyone, it would be to buy the whole machine when you're building, don't save your desired parts for later.
Pros: - Not too flashy with useless features - Solid price
Cons: - Janky software and driver issue made it impossible for me to get the wifi working. - Some of the placements seemed odd and made it hard to get it looking JUST right in my case. - ASUS Aura is horrible.
Overall Review: I'm not super into motherboards and features. This one seems to do what it needs to just fine, though I had some issue getting it up and running, now that it's moving along it seems pretty solid.
Pros: - Instruction manual was clear and useful for a complete newbie to PC building. - BIOS already installed, including the WI-FI driver, so Internet was accessible upon OS installation.
Cons: - Drivers on a CD/DVD - should be provided on a USB key. - Newbie minor comment: Instruction manual could include a short "BIOS how to" change the boot sequence and select a USB key (I found out how to do it online instead).
Overall Review: This is the first time I am building a PC, and I selected this motherboard for the integrated wi-fi and the back up GPU (in case I messed up re-installing my old GPU). The instruction manual was simple and clear for a newcomer like me to PC building.
Pros: Top the line hardware with no complaints.
Cons: Bios-level software that auto-installs when you first install windows. Armory Crate caused hangs, crashes, and hiccups while playing intensive 3D apps. Trying to uninstall it traditionally will get you nowhere.
Overall Review: This is a perfectly fine motherboard with the exception that it stores BLOATWARE onboard and installs it at the bios-level. Only through the bios can you turn it off. Unacceptable, Asus. Stuff your stupid launcher.
Pros: -All the headers you need -All the I/O I can possibly need -Included Wifi 6/Bluetooth -Easy BIOS Flashback -PCIE 4 -Looks amazing -RGB -Thorough user guide
Cons: -Could not think of any.
Overall Review: Really great product, and the price is very fair, don't really need the ton of USB ports and expansions in a x570, but how much do you actually need. Had to do a BIOS flashback, i have a 5800x, the motherboard did not recognize the CPU, DO NOT panic if this happens, just had to do a BIOS flashback, extremely easy. Used the printed user guide included to put together everything, no problem at all.

Pros: Very easy all around installation, set up, BIOS. Has all the ports I needed and then some for high performance gaming.
Cons: 2 minor cons - Slightly more constrained space around CPU that makes it more incompatible with certain HSF’s than some other mobo models. The be quiet! Dark Rock 4 did not fit so I had to use the stock HSF that came with the Ryzen 5700 CPU. Seems like a solid HSF so not too worried about it. Just make sure you double check dimensions/compatibility of certain HSF’s prior to purchase. - have to download both LAN and WiFi drivers before you’ll have working internet. Mobo only comes with CD, not USB, so if you’re like me and don’t have a CD-ROM, you’ll need to DL the drivers on a USB using a different computer. Minor annoyance, but clearly not a big deal. Wish ASUS would just send a USB with drivers instead of a CD.
Overall Review: Fantastic performance, ease of installation and ease of use with the small exception of internet drivers not being readily available out of the box.
