DDR4 OC 4600+MHz

To provide Intel's latest CPUs with unfettered access to memory bandwidth, we've reimagined motherboard trace routing from the ground up. Our OptiMem II tech carefully maps memory signal pathways across different PCB layers to reduce vias and also adds shielding zones that significantly reduce crosstalk. And to further enhance overclocking headroom for fully stacked memory configurations, we've employed a highly customized T-Topology layout that delivers time-aligned signaling.

Why 2/1/2020 7:24:17 PM

Pros: Very good looking

Cons: The screws for the m.2 are stuck

Overall Review: Why do you make your screws that hard to unscrew

Eggcellent 1/19/2020 12:03:40 AM

Pros: Small
Quality built
Good extras like onboard audio, wifi and two m.2 slots
Amazing bios for mini itx board

Cons: Only thing I can think of is I saw no way to control fan or overclocks in windows like with older ROG boards, I kind of miss that and was pretty disappointed.

Overall Review: I run 9900k and 2080ti in custom water loop, 32gb corsair rgb pro and intel 1tb ssd m.2 all inside phantek swift mini itx case. Its amazing how powerful this system is and how quiet it is with noctura fans, gets audible when under load when fans speed up but idle i ran barely hear it sitting 2 ft away at my desk.
Bios is rock solid doing 4.8ghz all core with 5ghz boost worked perfect. The auto quiet fan setup was pretty neat but I ended up setting my own pwm curves in bios.

Overall im happy with it besides the fact of no windows ROG software to control fan curves atleast from what i saw. Board stays fairly cool in such small case also.

Amazing Motherboard 11/11/2019 11:28:34 PM

Pros: Overclocked manually without issues with a i9-9900K and using EVGA Liquid cooling solution without issues. Paired with G.SKILL TridentZ 32GBDDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) along with Intel's 660p M.2 2280 2TB and NVIDIA 1070 FTW (Looking forward for a new AMD RADEON VII since it'll work smoother when using a Unix/Linux OS because of it's open source drivers when compared to Nvidia's closed source drivers.)

Gaming: This machine is a beast and runs without issues with all games at Max/Ultra with 1440p resolution. I play Street Fighter V with a constant frame-rate without hick-ups, this machine has not failed me at all.

Programming: No issues using Cmake with a large project with either Windows or Linux, I have more performance using gcc/g++ with Linux/RHEL when compared to MSVS and this is expected from an OS perspective but overall an amazing workstation.

Overall Review: General: If you are a multitasker working with lost of spreadsheets, multiple tabs or anything else, this MB runs at low temps, pretty good bus with high performance standards.

Ryzen 5 3600 cooler 10/14/2019 11:04:22 AM

Pros: None, it doesn't work

Cons: Can't use any AMD cooler included with their AM4 CPU's.

Overall Review: This stupid board is designed to specifically be a AM4 CPU Socket.
But it's incompatible with the AMD cooler that comes with these processors.
Asrock has deceived me by not clearly displaying this fact on the factory box.
(Not that this included cooler is any good anyway).
Let this be a warning to all those that are mislead to think this combination will save them money.

Manufacturer Response:
Dear Luis V.

Thank you for your review. While this certainly sounds like a frustrating issue, this board is not designed for the AM4 socket or any AMD CPUs. This motherboard has an LGA 1151 Intel socket and supports 8th and 9th Gen Intel CPUs. Please consult the motherboard QVL when in doubt about CPU compatibility. We have many motherboards available that support Ryzen 3000. If you have any general or technical questions, please email me at cl-lane@asus.com and include a link to this review for reference.

Thank you for choosing ASUS!

Best regards,

Great! 9/24/2019 9:11:25 AM

Pros: So many features!
stability
looks great
fantastic board

Cons: Minor complaint: I/O shield wasn't factory mounted correctly, but with a screwdriver and 10min, I correctly remounted it.

Overall Review: Great performance and features for the price! Easily pushes an i5-9600K to 5.2GHz stable with the AI Overclocking feature.

Good looking and well made 8/6/2019 3:52:56 AM

Pros: Looks good and performs well have extremely top tweaks for enthusiast.

Cons: The VRM and I/O heat shield is BIG and some liquid cooling may need to align with different angle inlet and outlet area, so far it’s been 2 cooler master and 1 ocool custom block with only the custom block needing alignment it’s a little but not a extremely bad CON since all the cooler worked with or without any extra alignment with its no a big problem anyway just rotate the inlets side and you’re okay.

Overall Review: It’s been long way, excellent, not a single problem and handles my i7-8700t like champ. I’ve using different RAM and so far no problems.
