Pros: Works great Based on past experiences with Asus, this motherboard should last for years
Cons: Price is high. If I average the cost out the years I will be using it, it not seem that bad at all. DDR5 is overpriced and is hard to find.
Overall Review: Works great. Glad I purchased it. For the people that complain about coolers not fitting, etc. not that difficult to do some research on what will and will not work with it. Take a little time before purchasing is what should have been done. Have been using it for months now with no issues.
Pros: The AI overclocking tool is neat, bios has a million options.
Cons: Probably should have gotten the Maximus Hero
Overall Review: Overclocks a 12900k to 5.4ghz with a touch of a button. The VRM heatsink is beefy. The PCIe release button is neat. I like it, if the Maximus Hero board was available I probably would have sprung for that given theres not much of a difference in price, but this was the only one available at the time.
Overall Review: Had to RMA the first board and the return process with new egg was flawless, 5 stars for new egg!
Pros: Noob-friendly Great Performance Tons of settings and customization for the technically advanced.
Cons: Price is still high, but it's early adopter season when it comes to Alder Lake.. so it's really not that surprising.
Overall Review: This is my first experience with an Asus motherboard. For the most part I've usually stuck with MSI for their reliability, but I feel like their board lines continue to get super saturated. This board and it's huge headroom for customization has been awesome. AI overclocking is useful for people who don't have experience with manually setting voltages and clock speeds. I couldn't be more happy with my choice to upgrade from my 7700k to Alder Lake/DDR5. The performance difference has been insane.
Pros: Looks good in the tower!! Easy to setup and the instructions were well written. Got it up and running quick!! No issues with anything during the setup, size of the board in the case, or placement.
Cons: None at this time.
Overall Review: Yes, I would recommend.
Pros: It's a beautiful board with no issues, at least for me. Everything just works. I am running an i9-12900k Intel processor and 32gb Corsair Vengeance 4800MHz memory. I have had no issues with this board. Everything just works.
Cons: It's expensive. It has only one temperature header. Not a deal breaker. I have two temperature probes and no place to plug it in, my fault as I didn't think about this.
Overall Review: I would recommend this board but if on a tight budget there are alot of bells and whistles you simply don't need. Shop around. If you want pretty and sexy, this is a good option. The M.2 PCIE card is a nice touch. I have one 2TB card on it right now and another two 1TB card on the motherboard. No hard drives and liquid cooling make this a very nice and quiet setup.
Pros: - Great layout - Plenty of headers for everything you can think of - RGB is nice and not overbearing - Feels solid - Very detailed bios with every option under the sun for overclockers - Runs my RAM (G.Skill 6000Mhz Timing 36-36-36-76) just fine with XMP enabled (after updating to latest bios) - AI overclocking worked well for me - runs CPU (Intel 12700KF) at 5.3 GHz when called upon
Cons: - Came with the very first bios version (0503 from Nov 2021) installed - Ran into two BSOD events after installing Win 11; rock solid after flashing to latest bios (1003) though - One of the fan headers is located just under the CPU slot and in my case completely covered by my Noctua NH-D15S cooler. That's on me though for not planning ahead more. That being said, I don't think mounting the CPU cooler BEFORE placing the motherboard in the case and attaching the case fans is unreasonable - Armoury Crate create seems to install a few items in your apps list that don't need to be there (like RGB for Patriot RAM); they're both tiny and easily uninstalled though
Overall Review: Coming from an old DDR3 build, I wanted to jump into DDR5 and also have a board that is at least ready for a PCIe 5.0 M.2 card in the future. The Asus E-Gaming was one of the more affordable boards that ticked those boxes. The initial setup in the bios was a bit daunting due to the sheer amount of options (mostly geared towards serious overclockers) but once I got my head around it, it was fairly straightforward. I am using the Armoury Crate and other Asus software and don't really get the negativity toward them. They do what they are supposed to and haven't really messed with anything they're not meant to. But as with most things, your perception might be different. I am still trying to figure out how to turn off the RGB when the PC is turned off - so far using the 'Stealth' option in the bios didn't do the trick. As for the Intel LAN port that people have reported issues with - can't comment on that yet as I am still using the wifi for now; which worked right out of the box btw.
Pros: Solid board. this is why i love Asus. works great out of the box! so many features packed into one board DDR5 M2 drive bay AI overclocking
Cons: This is my 8th ASUS board i think. They never fail. nothing bad to say
Overall Review: Only Brand I trust for motherboards!
