Overall Review: When installing a sn850 to the top m.2 slot there is a gap between it and the bottom thermal pad. When adding the cover it bends the drive into the gap. I have fixed it with a thinner thermal pad on the cover and used small paper to raise the bottom bracket up.
Pros: Bracket LGA 1200 fit without issues
Cons: EK AIO not fit in this board. I replaced it with a Corsair that its sleeves are a little smaller and it works very well!
Overall Review: Recommended
Pros: Everything just worked right out of the box. 12900k Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5600mhz. Squeezed this build into a Phanteks Eclipse 200p ITX case. Plenty of room. EVGA SuperNova 1000w gold power supply, ASUS RTX 2070 dual mini graphics card. Arctic liquid freezer ii 280 cooler. VRM Fan built in
Cons: None really. would have been nice to have a 3rd m.2 slot or even pcie5 on the m.2 lanes but i guess that will have to wait till next gen.
Overall Review: It's pricey but worth the money in my opnion. It's the only itx board on the market that offers two thunderbolt 4 ports and ddr5 with 105a vrm's. Which makes up for the lack of extra pcie slots. 105a vrm's packs a punch when paired with a high powered power supply. My 12900k idles at 27c and never goes past 70c under heavy load. This is a top tier board and runs at the front of the pack in every benchmark i've thrown at it. Amazing in every way. Although it would be nice to see intel get back into quad channel memory support again. Board came with the first bios version. Upgrading it to the latest bios plus ME firmware, and usb audio firmware was a breeze and neccessary. After several days of use it has BSOD'd acouple of times in odd instances. Go's with the territory of bleeding edge consumer tech. I'm also running win 11 insider beta program which may have something to do with it. Memory benchmarks are hitting 87gbs... not bad at all. Update. After disabling iGP UHD 770 onboard graphics in the bios and going solely with my rtx 2070 the bsod's have stopped. I think there may be issues with certain drivers, dual video cards (sharing ram) and thunderbolt 4 ports possibly. I also disabled armory crate in game rgb.... and MyAsus iphone sync... kept sending notifications to my pc in game (very annoying). I can actually play BF 2042 without crashing now. No BSOD's for 2 weeks
Pros: It's a nice board. Specs, build, features, etc. I would write more if I was able to use it long enough to find out.
Cons: Cannot keep the computer on for more than a few hours at most. Constant issues with my G.Skill DDR5 5600 36-36-36-76 RAM. Newest BIOS upgrade to 0811 made it more unstable than the previous. XMP on or off, doesn't matter, differen't BSODs that all revolve around RAM occur.
Overall Review: Of all the computers I've ever built, this is what I get for being an early adopter to new tech. This is an expensive build and it's just collecting dust until ASUS/Intel fixes the issues to make this more stable. Waste of money right now. I would hold off on this or buy a different brand. A lot of ASUS Z690 DDR5 mobos seem to be having a problem right now.
Pros: High end board
Cons: Stacked M.2 Slots
Overall Review: Check the clearance under the CPU socket when building in a SFF case. I tried to put this in an H1 and it would not close because the radiator fan collided with the stacked M.2 heatsink.
Overall Review: When installing a 980 pro to the top M2 slot there is a gap between it and the bottom thermal pad. When adding the cover it bends the drive into the gap. I have fixed it with a thinner thermal pad on the cover and used small plastic washers to raise the bottom bracket up.
Pros: I can't believe it has a ton of newest features & tiny to boot.
Cons: Being small makes a few headers hard to reach. Order in which headers is important.
Overall Review: Yes, happy to recommend. It's up to ASUS excellence standards. OC'ing is almost automatic.
Pros: Quality, Connectivity, Onboard Connectors
Cons: A little pricey
Overall Review: I never post reviews in things I buy, but I noticed that the top review for this board states it does not fit the NZXT H1. So I needed to chime in to make sure that comment wasnt going to deter anyone from buying this board for the H1. Dont get me wrong, the fit is very tight, but not so much so anything is strained or squished. As commented on the other review, while you are closing up the radiator panel, the hoses are just long enough to clear. I really hope no one has passed on this board because of it. This board in an H1 with a 12600K, 32GB of DDR5 6000, and a 3080 like the EVGA 3080 XC3 is a rocket ship, with good enough cooling from the AIO to be able to OC the CPU to 5G And 4.1G all core, and have it run super stable, and temps stay under 70C no matter what you do on the computer. I hope my review will tempt people to give it a shot, and maybe convert some people who went away from it before.
