Water Damage 5/23/2020 7:31:16 AM

Pros: works great, it does look great too

Cons: cant control the display, power cables were not long enough for my rig, i had to buy cables from cable mod

Overall Review: i had water spill into my power-supply while it was plug to the wall, but after waiting over night, it dry up and starting working again. is a good power supply the rgb can be control if you have a 3 pin rgb 5v controller.

Went bad within two months 5/1/2020 6:30:07 AM

Pros: There's not much to say really as it's just another power supply.

Cons: I received this sometime in early March 2020 and it went bad on 1 May 2020.

Overall Review: I'm pretty disappointed all things said and done. I am not happy with such an expensive product going bad after only two months.

I tried swapping power cables, used different outlets (known working ones), tried the reset button, and toggled the switch. I even tried leaving it off for an extended amount of time, but it shows zero signs of life. How sad.

Power for a price 3/27/2020 8:59:44 PM

Pros: Real-time watt meter, addressable leds, and quiet cooling.
Greatly expandable with modular cables.

Cons: No USB interface like Corsair power supplies is a shame, considering the realtime watt metering, aurasync, and fan control could be harnessed by AI Suite and Aura Software directly, and not use so many headers.

The important cables are sleeved, but they are very thin and flexible, but don't carry the true premium look of custom cables.

Overall Review: Looks better in person, and with a 10-year warranty, should be a great purchase.

Great Psu 12/23/2019 10:41:42 PM

Pros: This is my second one as my first one was defective. But with a quick and simple Rma with Newegg I got another one that’s working great. Being able to see the power draw is awesome. And I’ve had no issues with it.

Cons: Aura sync and armor crate is some pretty bad software. It’s too bad ASUS doesn’t make 1 working app for everything.

Overall Review: Looks great in the ASUS Helios case!

Dear Valued Customer,

It is unfortunate that your power supply is dead on arrival. Did you make sure you have connected all the appropriate pin connectors? Please refer to page 8 on the manual and make sure the MB power (18 and +10 pin) is securely connected. Let me know if this helps. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at cl-justin@asus.com and I will help you to the best of my abilities. Great PSU for Extreme Overclocking 7/30/2019 8:47:16 AM

Pros: The PSU being able to accurately tell you the actual power draw of the system is extremely useful for XOC purposes. Instead of needing a current clamp on the PSU (or several PSU's) to measure power draw, and then needing to do calculations in your head to figure out the real draw because current clamp use amp. If you are doing any sort of sub zero, LN2, DIce overclocking, this PSU will save you a bit of hassle. It will clean up your benching station due to not needing 2 or 3 different current clamps. Less distractions while pouring LN2 or DIce means you will achieve better scores.

Cons: Expensive

Overall Review: Good PSU, but only for a specific purpose. Not for your normal user. There are many PSU's out there that do the same thing as this one but are cheaper. But as far as I know, this is the only one that tells you power draw.

Do you know how much of a pain it is to strip out your PSU 24pin wires just so you can current clamp like 6 of them to measure the power draw of your CPU? Well if you get the ROG Thor, you will never have to do that again. Cause now there is practically a current clamp built into the PSU.

Awesome for XOC.
