What size tower case is needed for this motherboard?

The mobi is roughly 11w x 12h. A ful atx would be recommended because you have alot of connections you can make off this board. Some will extend the width and the height depending on your peripherals.

It depends on which CPU you pair with it and how many sticks of RAM. You should look up the Threadripper RAM channel/speed chart on Google for more info on that. I purchased a 256GB kit of Trident Z Neo to pair with my 3970X. The RAM I bought is rated for 3200mhz, but I'm only able to run it at 2933Mhz. Any higher than that and the system becomes completely unstable, even though 3200 is the XMP profile.

what is the boot time?

That completely depends on the other components of your system. I have decent memory and the sabrent rocket m.2ssd and it boots to windows in about 30 seconds or less. If you have a mechanical hard drive it will take longer.

HDMI or DisplayPort; Those ports would be available on the graphic card that you would buy for the motherboard. And the quantity of the ports varies from one GPU to another!
