Did you face any issue when connecting any device?
like wireless printer, streaming device, ....

I did the firmware update as soon as I got it and have not had any connectivity issues. I have not gotten even close to the speeds I would like though. I have gigabit internet but wifi I only got to max at about 250 mbs. Average is around 190 mbs. Granted I have only messed with the settings (different channels and what not) a little and might be able to get a little more. I know the full gig wont happen but I was hoping to get a bit closer than 25%

Can this be wall mounted?

Yes it can be wall mounted.  There are 2 screw mount ports molded into the bottom or the router.  Mine is wall mounted.

How is the range of this router compared to the range of the Asus rt-87u?

I'm not an expert / I live in a small apartment, but my guess would be that they are the same. 
Not sure if you'r a casual shopper or a hardware person soo I hope this is along the lines of what you're wondering.

I think the main difference between the RT-87U and the AC3200 adds one more 5ghz frequency, so it has 1 at 2.4ghz and 2 on 5ghz. 
I think the hardware is pretty much the same on the two models, so the actual range that the 2.4ghz band extends should be the same? The data rate at a given distance might change (maybe), but if you don't have like a ton of people using it close by (potentially at a level impacting the 2.4 band) I would say you really don't need it. I got it pretty much for myself... lol soo ya I probably should've gotten the 87 instead.

2.4ghz frequency bands tend to have a wider range, but are more prone to interference than 5ghz, and 5ghz has higher throughput.
Both the models use the same MU-MIMO beam forming techniques. Which means that (again not a phd in embedded systems*) the router analyses situational factors then transmits packets in an optimal way. I think that means that the data rate will be higher but the range shouldn't change.
