Pros: -Small form factor -Good AIMesh units -ASUS control panel very thorough with many options
Cons: -Couldn't reliably cover 1400 sqft in mesh mode. It absolutely should be able to do this, and maybe one of my units was a dud, but even in the same room I couldn't hold down anywhere near expected speeds.
Overall Review: I've got about 20 hours invested into fighting with these. I really thought I'd get them to work and all would be OK. But I've got 1400 sqft with these two units stashed about the midpoint on each side of the house, but in mesh mode I had a corner bathroom that was lucky to even connect. Most of the house was pulling through 20-40 Mbps at best; if in the same room, 100 Mbps was nominal, but typically more like 60 Mbps is what we were seeing. The iPhone 11 was the only device that would routinely beat 200 Mbps sitting in the same room, but I never figured out why it was the exception (it was connecting to the same 5 Ghz-1 (802.11ac, not AX capable) radio as everything else). I finally shut off AIMesh (as well as the second remote 92u device) and did a stock reset to the base unit. I have two AX-capable wifi computers in the house (one laptop, one iPhone 11) and tried connecting them to the 5 Ghz-2 (the only AX band and is typically reserved for the backhaul when in AIMesh mode) but couldn't get over 500 Mbps standing right next to it with 160 Mhz active. A direct connection via Cat6 cable was always 1 Gbps, so I finally gave up and decided it was something with the radio. The goal with this was to get a wifi mesh for our AC devices to routinely be in the 300-500 Mbps range throughout the house to use as much of my AT&T gigabit internet as possible with 2x2 MIMO on most of our devices, but that wasn't even close to reality. Not even able to cover the entire house was a major issue. Their support phone number doesn't seem to be staffed during the COVID situation, and the support email address they put in the box comes back as undeliverable. When I tried to register my device on the ASUS website, I got an error saying it was an incorrect serial number, even after it used that serial number to query a database and pull up the AX92U unit information. Never did figure out how to get in contact with their support team for help. Not sure what the issue is as these should have been more than enough, but I returned them. That said, if you've got Internet speeds of 250 Mbps or less, these should work out OK assuming they can cover the area.
Pros: This product fixed every issue I was having with my WiFI connections.
Cons: Not that this would have kept me from buying it but the looks of the units doesn't really fit our decor.
Overall Review: This product fixed every issue I was having with my WiFI connections. I have 26 items connected all of the time and coverage is good no matter where I am in the house of even out by my pool. I wish I would have bought this sooner!
Pros: - quick start instructions were concise and accurate - wifi setup took 1 minute - mesh setup was automatic and took about 10 seconds
Overall Review: I owned an older Asus router from 2014. I updated to the new mesh network. Set up was a breeze. Speed and coverage are great. No complaints thus far.
Pros: Small
Cons: Only one of the 5ghz channels is WiFi 6. So the connection between the 2 routers is fast but then the other 2 channels are just AC. Also after a couple of hours they get really hot and then it’s lag city. I returned it.
Pros: not ready yet
Cons: I was hoping this could be a fast mesh router with base stations connected by ax . Sadly, in mesh mode, the only available 5g channel is limited to 866mhz (slow).. limiting oyur bandwidth. Even worse, keeping the channels separate - the faster 5G network is bad - it is very slow (50MB/sec) and is full of jitter. I would not buy this at this stage!
Pros: Easy to install! Firmware updates easily (recent firmware update allows you to turn off LED lights) Fast! Reliable! Option to prioritize the ethernet port or WIFI traffic on the router
Cons: -Price, but you get what you pay for. These routers are awesome! --see overall review
Overall Review: I paired these with a ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 AX11000 and could not be happier. I have great wifi signal strength and speeds. I'm truly getting the internet speed I've been paying for throughout my entire house (and driveway). As the instructions say when configuring AI MESH the most powerful router should be connected to the ISP. The main router then controls and feeds data to the rest of the network. I'm now sure how these things perform on their own. However, my home WIFI is awesome now. Installing my new routers has been a true quality of life improvement!
Pros: Nice small compact design. Powerful internals.
Cons: Needed more rebooting than normal. The mesh system kept disconnecting from each other.
Overall Review: I had high hopes for this router mesh system. It was pretty expensive to begin with and I expected it to perform with little issues. From day 1 had the nodes, keep dropping devices. The units had to be reboot everyday.

Pros: - The Mesh networking function (my Sonos whole house audio system is also a Mesh network) - Easy setup - Man, the available settings or information - Embedded Trend Micro protection - #1, the speed upgrade from my 5 year old previous Wifi system
Cons: - Could be complicated / overkill if you are not technically savvy - A bit expensive but I believe it was well worth it now that I see the results/my performance
Overall Review: I was always impressed with the Sonos whole house audio system (also Mesh networked). I was very interested in WIFI 6 when I was looking to upgrade my existing home wifi setup. I have three stories to provide coverage for so I bought this AX6100 (RT-AX92 x2 pak) and a Lyra three pak. One of these RT-AX92's is the primary (on 2nd floor) and the other in the Basement (media room) with the three Lyra's throughout the house. Very good coverage and very easy setup for the Mesh network. I did some reading on the ASUS website and am above average on the technical side; AND the setup utility walks you thru the basic setup to get it/you online.
