Can the M.2 drive be replaced? Not just add another HDD or SSD but replace the M.2 drive.

If you pop the back, yes you can access the m.2 and replace. Plus there is an open spot for a standard 2.5"drive. I kept the original m.2 and added an Samsung 860 Evo 500gb SSD.

I'm not sure about the LED color, but the red you see in the photo is actually PART of the keyboard. It's not just the lights that are red. I know this because I also hoped to changed the colors cause I hate red but alas, you cannot.

Is the heating issue and freezing solved with the i5-8300h 1060ti version? I want to buy this laptop but the reviews are preventing me from doing so. Be honest please.

I own three of these exact laptops, none of them have had heating issues.
One is in a very rough daycare environment and has been dropped many times, and a hinge broke. I was able to fix with crazy glue and a binder clip. Seriously looks like it just came out of WW3, still operates just fine.
That being said, I'm not crypto mining or leaving games on them 24 hours a day or anything crazy, and they are all in fairly clean environments.

I've had heating issues in the past with other brands of laptops and fresh thermal paste has always fixed it.

Has Anyone experienced excessive heating problems with this model?

I haven't experienced EXCESSIVE heating issues, but it does get a bit toasty. Playing Black Desert Online with smooth frame rate seems to push its limits but there are cooling vents on top by the keyboard to help keep it cool.
