Pros: Looks nice.

Cons: Bought this in november and it has been a nightmare. Kept shutting down at any hint of 3D applications. Asus said send it back under RMA.Ok. Sent it back recieved six days later, nothings fixed,they said they replaced memory. Told them I tried different memory before I sent it back. There techs must be ten year olds. Also missing screws on the back of laptop, and a small dent on the little speaker grill. Never again Asus. You'll never be a big player.

Overall Review: I love new egg even though they carry this junk.

Pros: Looks like a good laptop but dosnt perform like one. Terrible support from asus. I think this thing was thrown together overnight.

Overall Review: If your looking for a buisness machine this isnt it. Wont play any games along with any work related apps (Oracle, Katina etc) without crashing. Save your money and buy something else.

Pros: i got this as a gift, and i loved it until i discovered that any games/graphics utilizing directx 9 or 10 will shutdown the computer within 10 min.

Cons: well, the above is a pro. no definite word from ASUS--apparently giant corporations are not that pro-active.

Overall Review: the loss of packing materials had created a tremendous difficulty in getting the RMA. according to a rep from ASUS, a new driver may be coming out correct this problem, although a few reps have already suggest that i send in my model. according to some websites i'm not the only one with this problem. and i got to taste a little bit of newegg's steel policy when one does not have the original packing materials. later they told me that i can get the original peanuts from the manufacturer...

Pros: probably the best laptop one can buy if the hardware actually worked.

Cons: known issues with 7600M GT. crashes with many games. asus won't let the customers know that the laptop had problems when they were mass-produced. XP will not install unless you're tech-savvy. slip-streaming, anyone? (do i really need to, after spending $2000???)

Overall Review: i can't believe i've wasted this much money... the quality was completely unacceptable. i'd looked into laptops for months and this one came on top. i'm just really angry that the manufacturer did not let the customers know that the laptop had huge issues

Pros: Looks real nice

Cons: Crashed 4 times within 2 months. As one of reviewers mentioned, faulty video driver causes computer not to shut down (mine didn't shut down in 8 hours). Restarting it by pressing and holding power button may cause Windows Vista fail to start. Technical support blamed most of he stuff on Vista.

Overall Review: Have purchased Windows Vista Ultimate edition and rebuilt the machine from scratch and used drivers from the CD. It worked for 1 week and eventually crashed with blue screen of death. Called technical support again and hope to send it for replacement. However, since a lot of other users experienced similar problems I don't keep my hopes too high. Basically, consider $2k loss.

Pros: Strong machine, built very well I would expect that from asus. I am so glad there are companys putting QC up there with profits.My first laptop and I am very satisfied. Will buy there products again thats a no brainer.

Cons: No latch but your not really treating it as a notebook so to speak. Vista has some issues but works very well when tweaked.

Overall Review: Was going to get a Hell but we use them at work and there somewhat cheesy. So glad I didnt. Asus is going to get a big chunk of this market no doubt.

Pros: * fast processor * 2gb ram & 512mb geforce video card * bluetooth+abgn * webcam (revolving) * security (finger print reader is VERY nice) * its an ASUS... best computers and warranty around.

Cons: * price (comparing with other manufacturer) * easily scratched, scratches can be seen easily. I thought that going black could hide these but it still shows. * Vista business - vista is pretty good and this lappy handles it well but the included version doesnt suit me

Overall Review: This is the best lapptop ive seen. Dont let the price change your mind because its totally worth it. Very nice, very solid. The case is a dud for college students but I found it compact enough to fit my regular backpack, i just need a sleeve to protect it from scratches

Pros: Overall, this is an excellent notebook. The display is clean, bright, and the color gamut doesn't shift based on the viewing angle. Both the C2D T7700 and the Geforce 8600m GT provide a substantial amount of power behind this notebook. It's a very fine product from ASUS.

Cons: Installing XP requires that you slipstream drivers for the SATA HD controller. Pre-bundled applications clutter The screen does not have a true lid-latch. The notebook could use a 7200rpm HD.

Overall Review: ASUS seems slow in updating their drivers. Most drivers though can be downloaded from the manufacturer's site. However, display drivers are not available directly from nvidia. This can be problematic for gaming. Luckily, I was able to find more current drivers and an modified INF for notebook-based GPUs. [no url - newegg policy]
