Is It possible to use this Power supply with a Asus 1080 strix i know it would be pushing it and i would have to use adapters but would it be possible?

It depends on the rest of your system.  If you have a small form MB that uses very little power and no other peripherals, then it will probably work.  Otherwise, you will be taxing the limits of this power supply.  Even if you don't have anything other than a motherboard and the STRIX, the cooling fan is going to run wide open and sound like a jet plane taking off.  The STRIX card needs a lot of power.  You might want to consider upgrading to a different enclosure and a full size ATX power supply for that type of graphics card.

Question 2

Would this be suitable for an i5-6600 and mini GTX 1060 6GB with 1 HDD, 1 SSD, 16GB RAM (2 sticks), and a fan?

Probably not. Your computer will draw around 300W under a full load.
Mine draws around 375W, but this power supply seems to be grossly overrated, as under a moderate CPU and heavy GPU load, I tripped the over-current protection.

I wouldn't recommend this. It just isn't possible to pack that much power into such a small form factor. I suggest taking a look at power supplies from Seasonic or Delta, as those will be much more reliable.

Question 3

I want to use this to run a single R9 390 GPU externally from my PC. Will the 6+2 pins be able to supply enough power to run this card in the worst case, max load senario? The TDP of the 390 is 275w.

I would advise against it. It has two 12V rails and the 6+2 pin connector is on the same rail as everything else except the CPU connectors.

Question 4

Does it come with anything to indicate which connectors are attached to which 12v rail?

No. But I have opened it up to do some modding (I bought it for a custom case i've made) and noted the rail assignments.

The EPS12V and 2 x ATX12V connectors for the CPU are on the first 12V rail.

All else including the 2 x PCI-E 6+2 pins are on the second rail.

Like almost every PSU, these are virtual 12V rails, so you gain nothing by having an even load distribution. You don't however, want to trip the 20A limits as that simply won't work.

Any GPU up to about 220W (GTX 970/980) is fine on the second 12V rail along with all the hard drives etc. If you want to use something like a 290X, then you will need to make an adapter from the unused CPU connector to a PCI-E 6+2 pin plug.
