Overall Review: I installed these in an HP laptop, brand new Ryzen 4700u. One of them immediately went into thermal runaway. I shut it down as soon as I noticed the "magic smoke" smell. The labels on the chip were melted, and it caused a little melt bubble on the bottom of my new laptop.
I contacted Crucial and got the hot chip replaced. Yesterday I installed the chips again, and the other one (the original one that wasn't hot) is detecting as 2667 mhz at CL19 instead of 3200 at CL18. The new one is detecting as 3200. But the laptop is clocking them both down to 2667 at CL19, because it makes them match.
So I went back to the original 8 GB that came with the laptop, because it's running at a higher clockspeed.
Really unhappy, because I received a defective chip and a chip with the wrong speed,
Pros: It's able to hit the advertised 3200 XMP speeds with no problem.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Good RAM that hits and exceeds advertised speeds.
I'm able to run this at 3400 Mhz with no issues in an ASRock Deskmini A300.
Overall Review: The product works well and is priced well but advertised 3200mhz but only runs as 2667mhz while my stock ram ran as 3200mhz
Overall Review: Bought it to go with AsRock A300 and 3400G. Performance has been rock solid so far with the XMP profile working OOB. Just don't expect overclocking this DIMM much, since it's an E-Die.
Overall Review: Sofar it is working perfectly, just using the XMP setting in the beskminis' bios. I have it pared with a 2200g .
Pros: It booted up my computer, so I have that going for me, which is good.
Cons: You NEED XMP profiles to get it to run at advertised speeds. JEDEC only will run at 2666mhz CL20.
Overall Review: I could not find the JEDEC profile information anywhere on this ram set while doing searching so I decided to take a gamble. My gamble did not pay off and my laptop cannot use XMP profiles due to using an AMD processor. I'm stuck at 2666mhz speed (see my pictures). I hate that this was advertised at only XMP speeds and now I have to send back the ram even though in the description it says I can use the JEDEC default profile (which I assumed meant at 3200mhz but it neglected to say at reduced speeds).
It's borderline false advertising.
Overall Review: this is a 2666 ram binned for 3200 16-18-18 @ 1.35V. Unless you have a XMP capable gaming laptop, this ram is 2666 maximum @ 1.2V. Why this important information is not included in the product description? Why??
Pros: very good for new 10th generation laptop
Overall Review: recommended for crazy users who like to upgrade every component in their computernormal users just give up. buy regular one from local store
