Pros: Worked right out of box with no issues. This memory had no glitches or boot problems which was great for me. I'm used to spending time trying to get the memory recognized correctly and with this I had no problems. The flashing and cycling RGB was a bit much but is easily adjusted by downloading the MOD app from crucial's website. Temperatures are running at around 38 degrees C under most loads and so far has been very stable. Overall I'm very happy with the memory installed and the LEDs at a lot to my computer setup.
Cons: No cons that I can really think of. If I had to come up with something it would be the lack of any real documentation included in the packaging. All data had to be accessed from the crucial.com/support website. The location of the MOD app took some looking. Other easily fixed con is the default flashy RGB lights.
Overall Review: I thought these were a gaudy unnecessary lit memory set but after installing I really like them. I would recommend them to anyone building a new system.
Pros: -LEDs are good, they match the color of my motherboard well. -All XMP settings worked perfectly well.
Cons: -Heat spreaders seem less robust than my previous set of RAM.
Overall Review: Seems like a very good set of RGB RAM for the price. It was a no-hassle install. I plugged it in, it defaulted to the XMP profile and ran at all the rated speeds. The RAM made it through my stress testing without any issues with the rated speeds. It has RGB if that is your thing. It is not my thing, but I did download RGB Fusion 2.0 to test, and it seems to work well. The RAM lighting was a perfect match to the lights on my motherboard. The heat spreaders feel a little lower quality compared to some of the other RAM kits I have used. But those also cost more than this set and don’t have the RGB lighting – so I would consider these to be a good value. They had no heat issues during a blended test in prime95 for 12 hours. I would recommend this set of RAM to people looking for RGB lighting at a good price point. On a side note, I feel it is worth mentioning that I have owned several Crucial products and never had any issues with them, so I do consider it to be a reliable brand from my personal experience.
Pros: This RAM does exactly what it is advertised to do. There really isn't anything special compared to other brands or model of RAM of same specifications, but it does look cool.
Cons: The only issue I see is that RGB configuration does not get saved. To configure RGB, you must run MOD program every time. The configurations must appears to be saved in a RAM. It does keep configuration on a reboot, but not on power down. Also, there were no instruction on in the package at all. Had to figure out which program was needed for RGB control on my own. Probably not a big deal for people who are knowledgeable enough to be able to install RAM, but still would be a great idea to have a short instruction.
Overall Review: For those without window on side panel of the case, this RGB RAM will not do any good. There is no difference in performance compared to regular cheaper model without RGB. As long as the specifications are the same, there really isn't much difference in performance between manufacturers anymore. So, choosing a RAM between manufacturers and models just comes down to personal preferences these days.
Pros: Black aluminum heat spreaders Low profile memory RGB compatible memory (scrolls through color if your motherboard does not have RGB) 2 matched 8gb sticks Micron memory Modules 16-18-18 Low voltage 1.35v
Cons: none
Overall Review: Over all: The LED are bright and sync up with the other LED stick of ram I have. Speed of dimms were automatically recognized. With the current times the RAM was used more with CAD rendering and 3D designs. When I had time to game, everything was smooth and had no issues.
Pros: Fast RAM from a great company with a Lifetime warranty. No issues on install, no weird behavior. Plenty fast for any modern machine, especially gaming.
Cons: RGB lights is just a cheap marketing gimmick. It serves no purpose, so it's not worth paying more for. RGB configuration does not save.
Overall Review: I would recommend looking for RAM from Crucial that does not have lights built into it. Not only is it tacky, it draws more power and introduces another point of potential failure in your machine. I've long held that a PC should be so quiet and so nondescript you forget it's even in the room.
Pros: Good performance for the price
Cons: RGB lighting control software doesn’t work on X99 motherboards
Overall Review: This DDR4 memory kit from Crucial is a decent choice for any budget minded PC builder. It has XMP (Intel’s Extreme Memory Profile) built in which will automatically select the best “safe” settings. 3200 is a great middle of the road speed without getting into the much more expensive sets. If you’re the PC builder that has to have the flashiest, fancy looking heat spreaders, then this offering from Crucial gives you a few color choices, Red, Black, and White. Other than the color choices they are fairly plain, but they are a good value. Please take major note that if you have an X99 based motherboard, the Ballistix MOD Utility provided by Crucial to control the RGB lights *will not work*. Not only does it not work, it bails out with an object instance error which is programming 101 kinda stuff. The fact that this is not stated anywhere in the advertising or on the product’s box is the sole reason this review dropped to two stars. The whole point of buying RGB products is to be able to control and match up your LEDs. Noted that the RGBs do flash in a random rainbow pattern without the control software. Installed into an X99 based motherboard with an Intel i7 5820K, this RAM was rock solid and performed great. It’d be a great addition to any budget minded PC build. That in mind, it might be worthwhile to note that you can go and get a second set and advantage of a full quad channel setup. If you’re nuts about RGB and don’t have an X99 motherboard, go ahead and give this a shot. Otherwise, save yourself a few bucks and go for the non-RGB version.
Pros: 1. XMP profile works out of the box with correct timings. 2. For RGB, Works 100% with my Asus Aura Sync ver. 1.07.79
Cons: 1. Warranty concerns. Product package and Newegg page says limited lifetime warranty, Crucial product page says limited 10-year warranty.
Overall Review: Opened the package and first thing I noticed was how light (weight) the sticks were and that the heat spreader was thinner than other brands I’ve used before (Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO, G.Skill Trident Z RGB). Installation of the ram was easy and the XMP profile worked correctly out of the box without any tweaking of motherboard settings (voltages). For gaming this runs games just like every other DDR4 3200CL16 kit I’ve ever owned so I’d say it does the job. As for RGB I used the latest version of Asus Aura Sync at the time which was 1.07.79. The stick’s RGB can accept any lighting profile available on Aura Sync software as well as assigning each lighting zone a specific color. I was impressed by was how even each lighting zone was spaced was especially since there were 8 zones. I’m used to experiencing uneven lighting zones in other brands of RGB ram. If you have a motherboard with four ram slots and want to fill out the other two slots unfortunately you must buy another kit of this RGB ram since there are no dummy RGB sticks for sale. My only real concern about the ram is the warranty which every buyer should be worried about. The packaging and Newegg product page states that it has a limited lifetime warranty, but on the Crucial product page is listed to have a limited 10-year warranty. Most of the popular brands of ram have limited lifetime warranties. Would I recommend this kit? If it was on sale, yes. At this price point there are other kits of ram that does the same job but have a more quality feeling heat spreader. The warranty information dependency also kills the attractiveness of this kit.

Pros: RAM runs at rated 3200 Speeds using the XMP Profile on my X570 Taichi, one thing I noticed which may be specific to my motherboard/CPU or amount of DIMM's I have installed (4) is I had to increase the SoC voltage a tiny bit to 1.19 RGB is controllable via your motherboards software or the Ballistic MOD Utility and if you want can be outright turned off. 10 year limited warranty according to Crucial's website, sure its not lifetime but chances are you will have replaced your computer once or twice by then. No other junk in the packaging, just the RAM in its easy to open packaging.
Cons: If anything could be a bit more price competitive, but its hard to do that in the RAM market.
Overall Review: Additional information Timings are 16-18-18-36, which are not listed on the Newegg page but is on their website. Crucials website makes it easy to find out if this RAM is supported on your motherboard. If running an AMD Zen2 or above (when that releases) based system I would go for the 3600Mhz RAM over the 3200 Also heatspeaders on RAM really doesn't do anything in case anyone was wondering even when overclocking, and haven't for a very long time, they are only there for aesthetics.
