Pros: Does both Burn and Read.... and is cheap...

Cons: Seems to have issues reading burnt CDs of mine, no matter what brand or type I put in it makes ticking noises while reading them.

Overall Review: Is great for price and money and I dont particularly know if mine is the only drive that has those issues.

Pros: Reads everything, cheap good buy.

Cons: Has some issues reading Burnt media of any type it makes a skipping noise but still reads etc.

Pros: This combo drive is inexpensive,easy to install, and also fast shipping. So far no problems.Good Product!

Cons: Had to take disk out during installation to get SN#, but at least I know can't ever misplace the SN# along w/ my other software.

Cons: The serial # for WinDVD is on the CD

Overall Review: Other than the serial # for the WinDVD software being on the disk itself, and not a label, the drive was a snap to install and get working. The fact that this drive comes with Nero is a good thing

Pros: This drive was a bargain. Decent CD burning times, but nothing can match a drive I had of another make that did 2:35 80 minute audio (sounded like a bone saw though)

Cons: The drive died. For no foreseeable reason, inserting a blank CD to write to (of any type) causes the drive to lock up, and any applications that try to use it (Nero, for example) to freeze entirely.

Overall Review: I don't know if I got a bad drive or what, but I wouldn't recommend this drive to others. Service life should be at least three to four years, it's not like I burn CDs every day. Actually, I make at most 1 CD a month...just don't buy this thing and save yourself the headache.

Pros: Low Price, works as advertized, still working after over a year as only cd-rom drive with hundreds of dvd's copied and burned, speed is sufficient.

Overall Review: I am suprised there are so many negative reviews, perhaps BenQ's quality conrol is low and there are a mixture of good and bad eggs? For the low price, I have gotten my money's worth already.

Pros: Fast, easy to install, quiet

Cons: No screws, but it's cool because I was just replacing a dead drive

Overall Review: Well worth the cost, although you'll definitely have to buy some screws if it's a new drive for a new slot.

Pros: Cheap! In all respects. On the upside, NewEgg did the right thing in offering a replacement.

Cons: Poor quality: unit dropped dead after burning 1 DVD. This was my first, and will ne my last, BenQ drive.

Overall Review: NxC and Lxxe-xx are better bets for reliablility. Buy 'em from NewEgg.
