BFG and Danger Den have combined to bring you the first DirectX 10 video card with a factory water block cooling system, and they didn't do it with just any processor. They used an NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTX running at a blazing 575MHz with an 1800MHz memory clock. Then they loaded it with 768MB of GDDR3 memory with a super wide 384bit data path.
The custom water block replaces the double-slot fan that can take up precious room in the case. Each card will be hand assembled by specially trained technicians with Arctic silver thermal compound for maximum thermal conductivity. In the box are 1/2", 3/8", and 1/4" in barbs so you can tailor the system to your needs. BFG strongly recommends Danger Den pumps and kits.
The built in PureVideo HD Technology was specifically designed to enhance your HD experience. Built in hardware decode acceleration of H.264, VC-1, WMV and MPEG-2 HD and SD movies provides a theater-like experience. The HDCP compliant dual-link DVI ports allow you to play your HD-DVD and Blu-ray discs.
Pros: Great performance, already set up for water cooling. Good way to get started in water cooling, as you don't have to swap out the cooler and add your own water block, which can be a bit scary the first time. It's a single slot design.
Cons: High price. Can be difficult to set up, if you're unfamiliar with water cooling. It's a very LONG card, and may block some ports of certain mobos. It's a tight fit with the SATA ports on my evga 680i board.
Overall Review: Just to address a few other reviews. Yes, you can find this card cheaper, and then add you're own water block. But why? With this you get a lifetime warranty, and it's already set up. I'm using two of these in SLI, and using an MCP-655 pump with 1/2" tubing. My pump is pretty close to the head pressure and flow rate of the previously mention eheim pump, and I haven't had a single leak in the 6 months I've been using it. I have no experience with BFG's tech support, but to address the reviewer who thought he should be able to get the screws to "fix" it, why would they. For all they know, you know nothing about water cooling, and if the card dies, you'd be responsible. If you were willing to void your warranty, you should have bought the non-H20 cooled card, and added your own block. Overall, I'm a little surprised the card still on the pricey side, but it is still the current top dog with Nvidia (excluding ultras). I'd recommend this card if you're interested in water cooling.
Pros: incredible card...overclocks like a champ. have put 3 of these in clients rigs and blows everything away. no issues at all except for...
Cons: power consumption...also, would recommend a 640 mb 8800 gts over this as the price/performance is better in my opinion, but if you got the money...
Overall Review: yes, it drinks amps like ... water. but dont get caught up in the "you need a home fusion reactor" talk...unless you are running 5 hard drives and ocing everything you got, plus running a beast water-cooling setup, a 400 watt psu is fine...if running sli, might need 500...on an average c2d system with an 8800 gtx, the rig measures about a 240 watt draw.
Pros: Incredible card, blazing speeds, and a cool t-shirt that comes with it! It doesn't get any better. I'm using a kandalf lcs case with built in cooling and GPU is running around 45-48c.
Cons: You can buy a car for the cost of this thing.
Overall Review: This card is a monster and weighs like 5 lbs and will extend over your mobo. Make sure you have the room, and if you are running two of these in SLI, have fun cramming.
Pros: I don't know of any pros because I can not get this card up and running.
Cons: The water block on this card can not withstand the pressures of non-DangerDen brand pumps. My Eheim pump blew out the seals of both cards when I tested it for leaks. The support at BFG has been pathetic! Instead of going through the RMA process, I simply wanted to get the attachment screws so I could attach a better cooling block. They refused to send me these screws saying that it would void my warranty! So instead of mailing out 22 little screws, they want me to RMA the cards. If I do, they will send me the same poorly designed DangerDen water blocks which will be blown out by my pump. They refuse to work with me to obtain an reasonable fix. BFG's web site talks about their commitment to great support. Instead I found a dysfunctional bureacracy who will not do the right thing or work toward a reasonable soultion. I spent over $1600 for these two cards, and BFG won't send me a dollar's worth of attachment screws so I can attach a better water block that won't leak.
Overall Review: DO NOT USE the watercooled BFG cards with pumps other than the low pressure DangerDen pumps. Any high quality, high pressure pump will blow out the seals of this inadaquately designed water block. Buyer Beware!
Pros: Great one slot silent card. Make sure you have at least a 650W sli rated psu. Would suggest a 850 W psu. You need some knowlegde of WC before you plop this bad boy in.
Cons: None other than you better have a good psu and mulit rails. These monsters eat power. But then your buying the hottest card on the market
Overall Review: This is a hugh card. Dont put it in a mid case it wont fit with out a shoe horn. Also it will cover most MB's south bridge so if your WC your rig you will need to do some planning. My rig is WC on the CPU, GPU, North AND south bridge and PhysX card so it can be done!
Pros: Water cooling means it is dead silent. Takes one slot (If you have the money this is the best SLI solution).....Seems to be clocked higher than other 8800GTX's.
Cons: Costs as much as many whole systems. Water cooling documentation kina sketchy so I recommend you have some knowledge before installing.
Overall Review: I am using this with the Zalman Reseraor 2 water cooling and my system is as if it is not turned on. Honestly playing games with no background noise is an absolute joy.
Pros: It worked great for about 2 weeks
Cons: After about 2 weeks the video started to become garbled. Called BFG tech support and was told they would test it themselves and if there wasn’t a problem with the card they would call me so they could troubleshoot the computer. 3 weeks later the card is returned I install and all I get is a loud constant squeal coming from the card. I tried a new MB same problem. Tech support takes it back same thing about how they will call me if the video card test ok so they can troubleshoot the computer. They never call 3 weeks later I get it back. It does the same thing. I’m told I am not using the correct power supply or there is a problem with the PW. I purchase a new PW put it in same problem. Now I’m mad. This is the third time It is going back to BGF. Same thing they will test it. Yea right. The drones at tech support don’t even offer to send a new one. Now I am waiting another 3 weeks to see if I get an $800.00 piece of junk that is working. I bought this back in December. Now end of March
Overall Review: Very Bad support

Pros: Works Great - I have it on an ASUS P5N32-E MB with Q6850 DualCore CPU OC 10% @ 3.3Ghz cooled with a Swifttech H20-120 Water kit in an Antec P182-SE case w/1000 W PS and 4 750GB Hitachi SATA2 disks - Makes for a great system. I run Fedora Linux and dual boot to WinXP for Gaming ONLY when I have to. The temp of the card follows the reviews that you can get at at the mfg web site. In short, it runs cooler than the reference fan cooled cards even under load. I set my fans in my case to run about half speed but I did add a fan at the front of the case for better intake (more in case review).
Cons: Pretty costly - but the water cooling work/hardware is well built.
Overall Review: Once you get this, you just thirst for the 2nd for SLI and you wonder how much better will the 2nd card get you...
