does this mobo support liquid cooling?

Not in a traditional sense, as that design feature of your build  does not use or depend on motherboard resources and hence theres nothing for the mobo to support, aside from PWM fan headers for your radiator fans; This board will let you overclock the reference clock and thus the memory and CPU clock, permitting (as there are zero voltage adjustments) 3.85Ghz (4.25 turbo) on my 1600x in a CRAMPED chassis with air cooling only; My CPU temps will not go over 55 (c) on any core under heavy gaming use and only one rear exhaust fan. Just make sure that 100-watt VRM stays below 100 celsius, which is effortless in most all cases; This board has been on sale for $31.00 in late 2017, which is a steal to put it lightly.

how many case fan pins are on there?

The connector for the case fan has 4 pins. However, it works like a 3-pin connector; the fan speed cannot be adjusted. There is no option in BIOS to control the case fan speed. I tested this motherboard with a fan that had a 4-pin connector and the speed was controlled by my previous motherboard.

Yes, via the cpu reference clock; Just beware there are NO CPU/SOC votltages (adjustable in bios) regulators, so overclock is voltage-limited to around 10-19.36% for 1st gen typical-yield Ryzen 5s;

Absolutely; At most you may have to update the bios (which you should do soon as you get the board up and running (newest is from something like 9/2017. Btw, sometimes this board goes on sale for $30.99 w/ free shipping; I bought two of them just to have them on hand for friends upgrades, etc. mobo: $29.99; CPU Ryzen 1600X overclocked (yes, on this chipset): $199; GSkill Trident Samsung "B-die" 16Gig black memory kit: $179.99 on sale (normally $239.99; All prices are Newegg; TO give you an idea of how "cheap" that is for a system, I already own four high-end systems, and I live alone, so its not like I built them for kids or something; Newegg made these parts so cheap (oh and I forgot, a corsair CX500 PSU for $17.99 after rebate (which came very quickly) that I literally had no reason "not" to give myself a Ryzen system to play with; Also the bios on this board is remarkable option-rich for a baseline board (TONS of encryption features in multiple areas of the memory piplines (DDR4 RAM, CPU cache, etc) - very future proof; Do understand you cannot increase / decreases any voltages other than switching the DDR4 from 1.2v to 1.35; My impossibly inexpensive (built November 2017) Ryzen system: Memory timings 13-14-14-14-34-1T; 3x 1TB SSDs (SATA) board does NOT have m.2 slot (chipset limitation in CPU-presentable PCI-e lanes). CPU Max turbo freq: 4.31ghz; (I put a 40mm fan over the VRM as it is not heatsunk (not because I thought the CPU would draw more than the VRMs 95-watt rated limit, but rather to keep its efficiency and dynamic current range wide; Regards, David M. Will it work with linux out of the box?

Yes, it does; (tried Mint and some underground releases. Any linux software that is AMD specific (chipset in this case I think) is available on AMDs site; Also the audio codec is  a realtek alc887 from 2008 - tried and true and supported by nearly everything that isnt crap to begin with. Same goes for the gigabit nic.

Definitely; I've put up to a GTX 1070 TI in it without issue; Also for testing purposes I put some low end "borderline" 75-watt overclocked pascal cards in it to verify the PCI-e slot can put out the full required current as per spec and It was on par with all my Asus boards, exceeding the 75-watt allowance (but dont do that in practice!);
