EDIT: Works with G-sync and Overclockable

Pros: A few months ago when this monitor came out I was really close to buying it. But because I own a GTX 1080 I decided on an ACER Z35P instead for G-Sync support. After learning that Nvidia had announced at CES that they were going to offer Adaptive-sync support on its next driver, the driver that actually released today (1/15/19) I quickly ordered one of these to have it in time. This Acer CZ350CK is not on Nvidias G-sync list of comparable Adaptive-sync monitors however,. I have spent the last several hours testing it and I have had ZERO comparability issues with it being enabled in the Nvidia control panel. It is definitely working and working well. This is the same exact panel used in my Acer Z35P. It has the same exact panel casing, frame and back I/O. It has the same user interface and the on screen menu is also almost identical, minus a couple gaming presets and the auto 120Hz on-off. So that got me to thinking.. Could I reach 120Hz with a manual overclock.. And what do ya freakin know, it overclock to 120Hz and UFO frame skipping test verified it! So to make this crystal clear.. This Acer CZ350CK is basically a re-branded Acer Z35P without the G-Sync module installed. If I were to pull off the Predator badges on my Z35P and set the CZ350CK right next to it, the only difference would be the stands. As the Z35P no doubt-ably has a beefier all metal stand. Now that Nvidia supports Adaptive-sync (aka Freesync) this is a KILLER DEAL for a gaming monitor! And at $499 this is a wopping $300 cheaper then the current price on the Acer Z35P at $799. If I wasnt way past my return policy on my Z35P I would send it back and keep this one. I may keep it anyway. I highly encourage you to get your eyes on one of these. Its a lot of monitor for the money.

EDIT: I've now owned one of these for about 3 months. I have started to notice some artifacting issues with it overclocked to 120Hz. I get a random screen flicker every so often and slight pixelation. Clocking it back to 110Hz or lower and I no longer have issues. So not really a con because I am pushing past its intended spec.
To be clear, yes I have run the UFO frame skipping test and it does indeed overclock without frame skipping above 100Hz. My assumption is that ACER has taken some of the poorer performing Z35P panels that didnt have stable 120Hz overclocks and created this stripped down version of the monitor and removed the G-sync module replacing them with Freesync support. Its still a FANTASTIC VALUE and performs as advertised! Especially now that newegg has them for only $409. Definitely still highly recommend this monitor. Get one before they sell out again.

Cons: None yet. Only gripe, small gripe is that it needs a color calibration but most monitors out of the box do. Takes 5 minutes no biggie.

Other Thoughts: I did purchase this from another website.. sorry newegg I still love you guys ;)

Very happy with this monitor, everything you need at half the cost of a lot of similar products

Pros: - Great clarity, colors, brightness.
- Speakers pack a punch (But I encourage you to use a EQ adjuster like Equalizer APO, they are very tinny out of the box!)
- Adjustments work well and smooth, but dont slide around unintentionally.

Cons: - heavy! This could be the case for most ultrawides I don't know, but it is far heavier than any of my previous monitors, not a huge deal.
- On pitch black scenes you will notice some light bleeding but it is minor and unnoticeable in 99% of use cases.
- Again, minor and I knew it would be the case but no usb ports or headphone jack.

Other Thoughts: - Would recommend for people who want a great ultrawide experience but don't care about the crazy features that bump some models up to 1000+ dollars

Great Upgrade, Amazing monitor!

Pros: 3440x1440
Adaptive Sync
Great picture out of the box

Cons: No display port cable

Other Thoughts: Here's a down to earth, simple review, without getting into exact technical details like RGB %, color accuracy, etc:

I'm coming from an older 24" 1080P TN panel (Asus WV246 IIRC as I write this). It was a nice monitor and served it's purpose for gaming and general use over the years. Having a new found interest in gaming again, I upgraded my PC internals again and needed a nice display to complete the package and bring it all together.

Right out of the box, the display was stunning. The ultra-wide is definitely a beautiful thing to behold, comparing it to the 16:9 format. The curve is just about perfect for a typical viewing distance. There was no display port cable, but did include an HDMI, which I used for the setup.

After a quick minute or two connecting everything, I powered it on. Initial thoughts: this thing is huge, seems like a bit overkill for about a split second, then just a nice big smile and a thought like 'Why didn't I have this a long time ago?'. The size, the picture, the resolution, the format - all simply stunning and the way it should have been from the start.

The fact that a 1440p ultra wide is in the ~$400 price point is just icing on the cake. Just recently, something like this was ~$1000 price point, which IMO is too much for a monitor.

I promptly tested a few games (a few random Steam games, Diablo III, etc) and the testing turned into several hours of play. The color, contrast, resolution, and brightness were all excellent (with no adjustments at all). The format was just very enjoyable to play. I thought it would be a bit overwhelming, but it wasn't. It was just nice. I thought maybe the larger screen would have a worse picture that close up, but the 25" 1440p actually has a greater pixel density than the 24" 1080p - so the picture was simply better in all aspects - especially compared to the TN panel. Better resolution (pixel density), better color, better contrast, better size and format.

Simply stated - if you are looking to upgrade from an older 1080p like I was, this is a no brainer. Enjoy!

Great Monitor!!

Pros: Best monitor that I have owned, thus far!! It makes games look great!! Running this monitor, off of an EVGA GTX 1080. I was considering buying the ACER Predator, but when reading the specs on this monitor, I went with this one and saved some money. No regrets!!

Cons: Not a single Con that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone. It is a terrific monitor, for the price.

Great monitor for the price!

Pros: This monitor has been great so far. For the price I paid, which was about $435 delivered when it was on sale at NewEgg, it can't be beat.

Cons: The built-in speakers sound a bit tinny. However, that was to be expected. They are adequate for watching the occasional YouTube video or for system notifications, though.

Other Thoughts: The reviewers giving this monitor a poor rating really need to be taken with a grain of salt. Those reviewers must be really spoiled or something because, like I said, for the money you pay this monitor is a great bargain. However, I will say that using the money I saved from buying this, I went ahead and got the SquareTrade extended warranty. My reason is because out of all the monitors I've bought over the years, the *only* ones that have ever died on me were Acers. An extra $50 is worth the piece of mind. The only downside is that I now I have to keep the massive box it came in if I never need to ship it out.

Excellent Upgrade From 16:9 1440p

Pros: - 35" is great for real estate/pixel density
- Occupies less desk space than two 27" displays
- No Dead Pixels
- OSD is usable, controlled with actual physical buttons
- 100 hz looks oh so nice even for productivity
- Height adjustable
- Colors look good to me, no perceived shift toward edges of screen (warning, not an expert)

Cons: - The stand is fairly sturdy, but if you type aggressively it does shake, may not be an issue if you have a sturdy desk. I rarely notice it myself.
- Doesn't appear to be able to get 100 hz over HDMI, only DP
- Bezels are kind of thick
- MASSIVE box if you like to keep things like that around for future moves

Other Thoughts: I have had this model at home for over six months and recently convinced the boss to outfit our small office with a set of 4. All look great and none have any dead pixels. Depending on the time you buy it the price is pretty great compared to other 21:9 options. I can't comment on FreeSync as my nearly 7 year old rig has an nVidia card so I haven't been able to test it. However, if you can push 100+ fps 100 hz feels fantastic. It may not look fantastic after turning everything to low, but depending on the game it is a worthwhile tradeoff.

Great specs, terrible panel

Pros: - 100Hz refresh rate (using DisplayPort) with no frame skipping
- One of the cheapest 1440p ultrawide display with >60Hz refresh rate
- Low key, professional looking display housing

Cons: - TERRIBLE viewing angles, to the point that colors shift on the left and right sides of the screen, when viewing from a normal distance
- They say the backlight is flicker-free, but it gave me the same eye strain and headaches as displays with PWM backlights

Other Thoughts: I upgraded from a 27" 1440p 96Hz IPS monitor to this display. It was really great to have more screen space, and it's nice to have 100Hz in an ultrawide, but colors are very muted compared to the IPS monitor, contrast is MUCH worse, and viewing angles are terrible, even when sitting directly in front of the monitor, because of the degree of the curve. Of course when comparing VA to IPS, some of these issues will be present, but I didn't think it'd be THIS bad. For basic office workers, or if you're not sensitive to these things, this display is fine. If you're considering this because you want one of the fancy gaming ultrawide monitors and you think you found the secret to a cheap, high refresh rate, 1440p ultrawide, look elsewhere. That's what I assumed and I was mistaken. Definitely spend the extra $200 on a display you'll actually enjoy using. Three eggs because at least it was cheap, and because it's 100Hz.
