Overall Review:
3 stars due to the excessive Inverse Ghosting in dark transitions. The pixel response times can't keep up in dark transitions and it causes some really weird artifacts. From what I hear it's an issue with all VA panels. I'd recommend getting a IPS panel ultrawide if you're looking to game on it.
I sold this panel and replaced it with the "lg 34gk950f-b" It's a Nano IPS Panel at 3440x1440 resolution, 144hz native, 1ms mbr.
The only cheaper alternative i'd go with is the "Alienware AW3418DW"

Cons: loses signal when gaming and goes black for several seconds. Sometimes I have to replug the HDMI cable to get the picture back.
Overall Review: I would not recommend buying this monitor if you plan on gaming with it dues to the issues Im having. Newest drivers are dated 2017 and for Windows 8.
Pros:
- This screen has good color accuracy, though I am not an expert.
- Contrast is good with inky blacks, brights could be better though.
- 100hz is great and it's very noticeable when you're coming from a 60hz refresh rate screen.
- It's good that it comes with speakers, not the best sounding, but most screens at this price point do not even have that available.
- The stand is a flat base that is sturdy and unobstructive.
- Brightness is pretty good, never felt like I needed it brighter.
- Great screen pivot, swivel, raise and lower control.
Cons:
- No HDR support
- I experienced some minor flicker, but only on loading screens or menu screens
- No USB C
- Some minor backlight bleed
- Blue light under the front logo turns on when the screen is on, but after a while, you forget it's even there.
Overall Review:
I take my time researching purchases like these, and I can say confidently that out of my findings, and hours digging into the few reviews, no other monitor comes this good at the price it offers. I was comparing it to MSI and ViewSonics's versions of this 34in screen, as well as off brands like Viotek, Massdrop, but Acer ED7 offers the best bang for your buck. I am coming from a 60hz 1080p screen and this is just amazing for my personal productivity, designing, and gaming needs. To top it off, Acer's 3-year screen support was also the cherry on top for me. This is my first ultrawide and I am very impressed by it. Games look amazing and the ultrawideness gives me some peripheral vision advantage in competitive games but also a greater sense of immersion. This screen is also apparently overclockable but I have not done so personally in order to preserve my screen's lifetime. If you're looking for a budget 34in monitor with freesync support that is reliable and comes from a reliable brand, and with good image quality, this is the one. Just make sure you have the good GPU to make use of that 1440p 100hz screen.

Pros:
-3440x1440 with a nice VA panel. Came from a 27" Dell 2560x1440 144hz Gsync monitor and I don't miss it. The screen real estate is.. unreal.
-Not officially G-sync certified but does a fair job of keeping frames smooth from my RTX 2080. Gsync does a better job but you're also not paying that big G-sync premium. Usually cap it at 90-95hz since I've read setting in game refresh to 100 sometimes causes issues.
Cons: -Menu is a little finnicky to navigate until you get the hang of it.
Overall Review: -Sometimes the panel becomes almost "split" down the middle when waking from sleep, the right side of the screen gets moved up an inch or so and you need to restart. May be a random windows glitch, so I'm not holding it against Acer.
Pros: Excellent picture, games look outstanding, the DVI, HDMI, and DP ports are a blessing since I have 3 PCs connected to this monitor, and I was looking for a long time for a VESA mountable monitor.
Cons: After using this monitor daily to work and play for 4 months, it started displaying tiny dots, like snowing all over the monitor, called ACER support and they asked me to send the monitor to Temple, Texas on my own dime, and any damage during transit, they are not responsible.
Overall Review: Good monitor meanwhile it lasts, but it does not last long before you have issues, I do not recommend it.

Pros: -- Relatively inexpensive for ultrawide.
-- 100hz refresh rate, on more powerful rigs this higher refresh is good.
-- Has speakers but that's all you really need to know lol.
-- Multiple display options.
-- Colors and viewing angles decent for a VA
Cons: -- Rare, but momentary flicker. sometimes seems to flicker in low light situations but it's momentary and often times not really noticeable.
-- Features like picture in picture would have been nice
-- OSD is okay, RGB settings allow for some very fine tuning, other display settings are a bit minimal though.
Overall Review: Overall a decent money for an ultawide if you are looking to spend atleast a few hundred dollars. There are nicer displays you can if you want the most superior viewing experience with IPS displays, but the VA display still looks very good and is much better than a TN/.
