Pros: 32 inch, 2560 x 1440, curved monitor. And no dead and/or stuck pixels. Immersion.
Cons: Some light yellow blotching on white screen. Some bleeding on black screen.
Overall Review:
The effect of immersion that has been reported in some reviews, for curved monitors, seems to be true. This is noticeable compared to a flat screen. I'm more engrossed during game play. I also observed the effect while watching action movies.
The Acer Predator, 31.5in, 1440, curved monitor is replacing a Dell, 27in, 1080, flat screen. Upgraded from 1060 to a 2070. Read the reviews. A 1060 pushing 2560 x 1440 resolution on newer games and even on some older games, i.e. Crysis, will disappoint. A 2070 or above will be required to take advantage of this monitors resolution.
Build quality is great. Adjusting the height, tilt, and angle is amazingly easy. The adjustments allow for in your face viewing. No longer having to look down while viewing is comfortable.
As stated above, there is light yellow blotching and bleeding. This is noticeable, if your looking for it.
I knew from reading the reviews that this monitor would take up a lot of desk space. I was still surprised. Its a huge monitor with a large foot print.
The blue LED lights below the monitor are a nice touch. The light is soft enough to illuminate my desktop without being a distraction.
Contrast and colors look great. No adjustments made. And with 2560 x 1440 resolution my games look even more amazing.
Pros: Love, love ,love this monitor!!
Cons: 1 dead pixel...
Overall Review: Highly recommend..
Pros:
- Great image quality and huge size.
- G-Sync in a large quality display is nice.
- Great features and stuff such as a built-in cross-hair overlay and things of that nature that are great for gamers.
- Nice LED light effect under monitor subtly lights up my desk which is great for finding stuff while gaming (this can also be set to match onscreen colors, so good for immersion but can be set to a static color or turned off completely).
- Curved screen isn't TOO curved, has a great viewing angle despite the curve.
- Text is crisp and easy to read even at 2K
- Built-in USB 3.0 hub and cable management, great for ITX systems with limited USBs
Cons: - Price but that's to be expected at this size and quality level
Overall Review:
Overall I would recommend this monitor to anyone shopping at the screen size. The price is right and the quality is there.
I spent a long time drooling over monitors like this but they only came with FreeSync. Finally a quality monitor that isn't breaking the bank and has all the features I wanted. Moving from a 27" flat LCD to this beast was an amazing jump in quality and immersion. Takes a little getting used to if you are sitting at a desk (had to make some adjustments to my setup so I could move it back a few more inches). But it is worth it.
Trust me, you'll never be able to go back to a flat monitor for gaming again. The immersion IS noticeable with even the slight curve on this monitor, and video has never looked better. Gaming is just so much better on this monitor than even on my 50" in my living room, especially if you have the horsepower to drive it @ 2K in Ultra settings on games.
I didn't want to take the leap to 4K just because the hardware requirements are massive and the price point is so high. This is a nice middle-of-the-road compromise that allows for greater image quality and resolution without breaking the bank. Even last-gen hardware can run this display with minimal effort (my 1080Ti has no issues @ 2K w/ everything on Max in modern games).
Take the plunge, it'll be worth it!
Pros:
165 Hz, 1440p, 32", VA (practically equivalent to IPS) and curved.
Great for those who want to get into the curved monitor game, without going ultra-wide and potentially dealing with black bars on the side.
Vibrant colors.
Drives excellently with my EVGA RTX 2080 FTW3 Ultra/Ryzen 3700x systen, able to take advantage of the 165 Hz refresh rate perfectly, on every FPS game, many MMOs and several adventure games.
G-Sync is amazing, no issues.
Blacks are black, no evident bleeding from backlights.
Cons:
Much bigger than anticipated, but I wouldn't say this is necessarily a con, but coming from a 27" panel, it seemed massive.
I did have one minor issue, where I had to manually unplug the monitor to make the panel display the picture, but this was also around the time my old mobo was devastated by Mother Nature (successive power surges), rendering it unable to post, after a while, so I can't fully blame the panel. After replacing/upgrading to an ASUS Crosshair VII Hero from an ASRock x370 Taichi, I've not experienced the issue again, so for now, I'll place most blame on the previous mobo.
Pros:
-Refresh rate 165hz.
-32 inch
-OSD with many options
-4ms
-Curved
-The colors are very beautiful
-Very fluid with first-person shooter
-1440p
Cons:
For my part.
-G-Sync flickering white
-Flicker-less Technology does not work
-Distortion with my speakers
-Black flicker !!!
Overall Review: I replaced the monitor three times in the month of June one after the other and I had problems getting worse and worse every monitor replacement the first to receive the screen worked fine, but the G -Sync sparkled still in white without losing the image, it was annoying. The second one replaced the sparkling G-Sync always in white without losing the image, but on top of that the speakers falsed the distortion. The third replacement I have at the moment the G-Sync still does not work well and my speakers are still distorting more I have black flicker incorrigible, I went to a forum, I tried the solution to disable the G-Sync disconnect the DP cable to reconnect the DP cable then reactivate the G-Sync. Nothing works.
Pros: Excellent panel quality and G-Sync technology and its 144Hz. You can tell the difference compared to a 60Hz panel
Cons: The panel came with a stuck pixel and for Newegg to consider it defective it has to have 4 or more pixels. So be careful with that. Luckily, this brand has international guarantee, some fundamental to take into account
Pros: looked and worked fine for 7 months
Cons: first was the random red vertical lines only on the left side then the blue lines then screen blacking out and green horizontal lines then there was no signal for 500$ on sale this is garbage I expect a monitor of this price to out last my previous monitor that was 130$ it lasted 8 years read up on it this problem seems to be quite common as of the last coupe of years and isn't just this manufacture but as a first experience with acer I will not be buying any more products from them
Overall Review: please do yourself a favor and stay away from them if not I warned you

Pros: The combination of size and curve, make this item an excellent choice for gaming. Fast response time, VIBRANT colors, and no ghosting. Gsync always works as advertised.
I think alot of the reviews that I read are horse poop. What yellow glob of light are you talking about? Dead or stuck pixels? I have none.
Cons: Here's one kind of con... It's not as bright as my XB271HU, HOWEVER, I must say that the Z1 and it's VA panel are super close to the vibrance I get from the IPS on the HU.
I also own a 27" TN ASUS monitor, and the predators DESTROY it in terms of color and vibrance.
Overall Review: I would recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a larger panel than a 27"
I use an eVGA 2080TI XC Ultra to push frames at 2K. RAGE2, Modern Warfare, and DOOM look SICK on this monitor! BUY it NOW!
