If I use this monitor with an Nvidia GPU, will I have any problems if I don't use the Freesync technology? I can't seem to find a good 38" 1600p monitor that doesn't have Freesync on it, so I am wondering if I can use this with an Nvidia GPU and just skip the Freesync.

I use this monitor with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 and I do NOT use Freesync. It's locked to 75Hz refresh rate and I don't have any issues with it. I'm using DisplayPort, as I believe that's the only way to achieve 75Hz

Question 2

How far apart are the tips of the stand? I would like to put this on top of an audio component and don't want it if the three tips aren't going to fit within a 482mm x 265mm rectangle. Other monitors with flat feet don't have this problem.

Tip to tip the stand is 22 3/4"w, inside edge is 21 1/4".  The back foot is about 3 3/4"w and the whole stand is about 12" deep.

Is this VESA mountable? I know it says it in the listing title, but it doesn't specify.

Yes it is VESA mountable, I have it mounted. I would recommend against buying this item though. My monitor went dead a couple of months after arrival, then it took LG 1.5 months to fix it under warranty. Now it is exhibiting the symptoms of occasionally not turning on. Built-in power supply board faulty.
