Glad I got it 8/6/2007 4:34:28 AM

Pros: I was looking to lower temps while making my comp more quiet at the same time and this did the trick. The stock cooler on my x1800xl was whiny as all heck when it heated was always heated up, so it was always whiny. This actually lowered my GPU temp by ~20C idle ~25C load, amazing, I know.

Cons: None, unless it isn't compatible with the R700, but that would be ATI's fault ;)

You'll have to increase your case fan RPM's 7/21/2007 6:07:23 PM

Pros: Very quiet. MUCH quieter than stock cooler on ATI card. Made a huge difference in the sound level generated by my Mac.

Cons: I am NOT sold on the design of keeping the hot air in the case for another fan to remove. My Northbridge runs at 140F with default fan settings. I've had to turn up the CPU and PCI fans to get enough airflow over the Northbridge heat sink (thank you SMCFanControl!). I have it running at below 120 now, but this meant I had to give up some of the sound reduction.

Overall Review: This would be a brilliant cooler if they would have gone ahead and dumped the air outside the case. I'm looking at buying a PCI slot mounted case fan now...

Good buy 7/13/2007 7:54:49 AM

Pros: It really is much more quiet than the stock x1950xt cooler. It also lowered my temps a good bit. down to an idle of 50 instead of 70. Installation was a snap.

Cons: The hot air does blow out the back. Normally this would not be a problem but for me it blows into my chipset and my hard drives are there. *dfi lanparty* this causes a lot of heat buildup in this area.

Overall Review: It is also lighter than the stock cooler. The thermal pads must be used on the memory for if you just use Artic silver the paste does not touch the memory to the cooler.

Excellent performer, silent operation. 7/9/2007 9:13:19 PM

Pros: Tired of the noise of the stock ATI cooler? This heatsink is SILENT. Running at full blast is the only time I can hear it.

The cooling tops the ATI cooler as well, the Accelero dropped my temps by 7-10 degrees at least.

Cons: The hot air from the heatsink is not exhausted out of the case like in the stock ATI cooler. Instead it is blown on the motherboard.

I thought this would be a horrible situation of overheating my motherboard and making the video card run hot (due to stagnant air), but neither were true. Don't worry!

Overall Review: Excellent packaging includes everything needed for installation, which includes a decent installation guide. The heatsink is protected in shipping with a plastic cover, ensuring it is perfect when you install it. GREAT buy!

Bad Design 7/2/2007 7:49:21 PM

Pros: Well... its quieter than most stock x1950pro coolers, and it keeps the card somewhat cool.

Cons: The air coming from the fan heads towards the pci express slot, which just happens to be where my chipset heatsink is at (DFI UT nf4 ultra-d) and that air heats the chipset to over 50C during games, causing my games to lock up every 20 sec or so. I got this cooler with my Powercolor x1950pro and even at stock speeds it still overheats the chipset. So I had to take my hard drive cage out of the front (Lian-Li Pc-60b) and I put the HDD's in the floppy cage, and now I have a thermaltake smartfan 120mm at full speed blowing air towards the video card and the chipset and then I had to take the blank pci slot fillers to the back of the case, off so that the air could flow out of the case. Also I cut 2 holes for 2 80mm fans to cool down the video card, but when I got this card, the extra plastic where the fan is at on the video card hung off and was interfering with the fans so I couldnt put my my side panel on, or I just had 2 80mm holes with nothing in them... I really despise this cooler.

Overall Review: If they would have rotated it so that the air blows out of the back of the case and the fan isnt hanging off the side of the video card but towards the back of the card, it would be alot better. I specifically bought a Powercolor x1950pro EXTREME so that I wouldnt have to buy an aftermarket cooler, and now here I am looking at buying a new cooler.

Quiet - works 6/6/2007 2:54:46 PM

Pros: It is very quiet. I put this intot my MacPro with X1900 video card and I no longer hear it. All I can har is my HD noises.

Cons: The installation instructions weren ot as good as they could have been. They did not mention what to do with the 8 pads it came with. BUt once I got the old heatsink off it was pretty obvious.

Overall Review: Worth the $20 for sure if you the X1900 noise bothers you.

Worse than stock 6/2/2007 8:40:43 AM

Pros: It is much quiter than the stock cooler that came with my ATI x1900xt.

Cons: It doesn't cool as well as stock cooler under load with stock settings. It also won't handle the default over clock I've been running on the card since Feb. of 2006. 655mhz core and 785 memory. Stock is 620/720. PC would hang and VPU errors.

Overall Review: The whole reason I bought it was to try and push the card further since it's over a year old now and worthless. No luck. On top of this, my chipset and PWMIC temps went up more than 10 degress C EACH! This cooler is junk.

Pretty good 5/26/2007 6:38:10 PM

Pros: Cools very well compare to stock. My X1950XTX ran at 77C idle and now 52C idle, 88C load and now 76C load. Much quieter than stock, no more annoying buzz saw sounds coming from the X1950XTX's cooler.

Cons: The fan controller for the X1950XTX is a 4 pin PWM which the Accelero does not have, its a 3 pin. You have to go to the fan plug on the Accelero and switch the position of the black and red wires and then plug it into the 3/4 left slots on the X1950XTX.

Air goes right back into the case heating everything up.

Overall Review: I wish they still made the ATi silencer/NV silencer type coolers, i miss those. They were quieter(to me at least) and exhausted all the heat out of the case.
