Pros: External dimensions! Nearly every other "mid-tower" case sold these days is about two or more inches higher than this and what practical benefits do you get for that space? Sometimes they give you another drive bay you won't ever use, but usually the answer is: NONE!
Internal dimensions! If you look at the CM page for this case you'll find that it is designed for modern (that is extremely long) video cards and CPU coolers. They even provide a PDF diagram showing the clearance in mm. My HD 4870 fit just as I expected it to: With room to spare.
Ventilation! With room for two 120mm fans (something which should really be standard these days but is sadly not) and the bezel constructed largely out of screen this case is extremely well ventilated.
Sound damping! That screen on the front? Backed by a nice foam material. I haven't tested, but it certainly can't hurt the sound profile.
Cons: Internal dimensions! I'm using this with a Thermalright HR-01 Plus which is officially 159.5mm high. The diagram on the CM site shows the maximum height of a CPU cooler to be 166.6mm. One of these companies is wrong because the HR-01 Plus just barely fits in this case -- the side actually contacts it and is tricky to put on because the nubs where the heat pipes terminate can get caught on the grated area where the CPU duct vents. If this grated area wasn't bowed outward I probably wouldn't be able to put the side on at all without some kind of lame mod.
So while I think the video card dimensions for this case on the CM site are spot on, you may want to allow for some extra clearance if you are going to use it with a tall CPU cooler.
Blue LED! The power button and the HDD light are both blue LEDs. They aren't "high intensity" (or whatever) like some and I am able to keep it on the floor with no annoyance, but fair warning to people who hate these things more than I do.
Overall Review: I am extremely picky about cases. I spent a ridiculous amount of time researching before I chose this case for my latest build.
Pros: - Looks nice.
- Solid feel and materials
- Good airflow
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Be careful with the clips that hold in the HDD's, optical drives, etc. If they aren't lined up just right when you twist to lock, it can break the little pegs. No biggie, just something to be aware of.
Pros: Here are a few things I found very favorable about this case: Large Thumb Screws on Side Access Panel, CPU Air Intake Port, Easy to use Bay Storage Clamps, Long Case Cables that are clearly marked, both HD and AC97 Audio Plugs, Free Case Exhaust Fan, Front Access I/O Panel Sound and USB bay with Fire Wire Punchout already existing, 6 HDD Bays, 4 5 1/4 Bays, 2 3 1/2 Bays, included magnet to place around case wires to stop any interference, a 3m sticky block to secure a cable tie to keep cables clean and out of the way, and a Sleek Open Air Grille Design. This case breathes very well and keeps a Q8200 95w extremely cool even with a stock intel cpu fan and no intake fan!
Cons: There were not many things I didn't like about this case. The only complaint that I have is that the case did not include enough motherboard riser screws to securely mount a full ATX motherboard to the case, the case includes an over ample supply of flat motherboard securing screws, and if the case would have come with a free intake fan in the front it would have been even better!!!
Overall Review: This is a very sleek and nicely designed case that can even be used for Business Desktop Workstation machines. I didn't have any of the issues with rough edges but I have built computers for so many years, I already know to keep my fingers well out of harms way. :) I have never really been a fan of Cooler Master products but this Elite 335 case has just changed my mind. I would recommend this case to anyone.
Pros: nice case for the cash. it will easily fit any monster sized video card out there as long as you don't block the space with a drive. quiet fan. i put an extra fan in the front.
Cons: logo on front seemed a little tacky at first but it kinda grows on ya after a while.
Pros: this is the second Cooler Master case that I have, both are Elite series, case is not overly heavy, I don't need a boat anchor, however it's not flimsy at all, 120mm fan is almost dead silent and moves plenty of air. I put an Antec PSU in this case, fit was perfect, no jagged edges on this case, excellent construction through out. I love the screwless design, drive installation is a snap and they are just as secure as if they were screw mounted. Airflow is excellent. The power button has a very nice blue LED built into it, it illuminates the power on symbol, sharp looking. I personally don't care for cases with a bunch of bling, neon and other useless junk that doesn't actually have anything to do with making the computer faster or perform a real function. The black finish is very nice, I think I'm going to grab another one of these for another system I'm planning to build.
Cons: none at all.
Overall Review: the 120mm fan comes with the normal fan header connector AND a Molex converter so if you have a motherboard that doesn't have enough fan connectors, fear not, plug it into your PSU, that's fantastic! The supplied mobo standoffs are perfect, plenty of them, this case is lacking NOTHING! I love Cooler Master products. If you're looking for a well thought out, classic looking, great airflow, no nonsense mid-tower, look no further.

Value to the 200th power!1/22/2009 12:59:47 AM
Pros: Attractive matte black finish, which seems of good quality. Very spacious interior can fit the longest graphics cards currently on the market. Near perfect airflow with two fans installed. The one included fan is quiet. Easy screw-less features.
Cons: For the price, I can't see how anyone can complain about this case unless it collapses on them or something major like that.
Overall Review: Someone wrote in a prior review that this case is an improved replacement for the CM Elite 330. Not true. Other than a different front panel, and paint/accent colors, this case is exactly the same as the rest of the Elite 300 series. The metal is the same gauge, and the inside setup is identical. Not that that's a bad thing. I also have an Elite 330 case and have loved using it for my builds over the past year. It's held up well, with the exception of a stuck power botton, which I fixed easily. Honestly, for 30 bucks on sale (even at 40 bucks) you can't go wrong with this case. I would go so far to say that even a souped-up, SLI/Crossfire rig would be a good match for this and other Elite series models. It looks great and has some really good features, which easily makes it a top choice among similar priced chassis'.
Amazing Cheap Case, Easy To Upgrade10/31/2010 12:21:35 AM
Pros: This case is great, it looks solid, great airflow and stays cool, professional design with a blue LED power button that impresses, and incredibly spacious for easy installation.
The Tool Free mechanical design works great, but Cooler Master does include extra screws for those who want to use them.
Cons: The manual was clearly aimed for those experienced with building computers. Details and instructions were a little sketchy on key parts, such as how to properly remove the expansion ports for the front shield or even how to properly replace the front shield panel.
Because of these unclear instructions I feared that I may damage the front shield panel. The manual also neglected to mention that I'd have to use the tool-free mechanics or screws on both sides of the External/Internal Drive slots, but I suppose common sense should have told me to secure the hard drive and optical drive from both sides.
Overall Review: I finally convinced my parents to replace their 6 year old Dell Dimension 3000 fossil with a Celeron processor, I'm still amazed they managed to somehow cope with that thing, now with this new desktop I have something that is energy efficient and easy to upgrade (if required) in the future:
Antec EarthWatts Green EA-380D Green 380W
AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0GHz
Western Digital Caviar Green 640GB
ASUS M4N68T-M AM3 NVIDIA Geforce 7025/nForce 630a Micro ATX
Kingston 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3
LG 22X DVD Burner
Other people mentioned that the tool-free mechanics are "cheap" and "break easy" but I wonder what exactly these guys are doing to break these, they twist easy with a gentle twist. If anyone breaks these tools it is their own fault.
As for criticisms that it is sharp, once again something I didn't experience and this is my first time building a computer! If a novice can do this without breaking anything or hurting himself how can these experienced prof
Pros: + Cost effective for an office PC
+ Top mounted PSU for those w/ shorter cables
+ Convenient USB + Audio ports in front
+ (2) 120 mm fans
Cons: - Front panel & drive bay holders feel flimsy & cheap; I wouldn't trust the tool-less holders to hold my drives for long, so I'll stick with screws
--> Front panel & magnetic ring arrived broken
- 1 year warranty
Overall Review: It was disappointing to receive a broken case after a 5 day wait, but Newegg customer service has been cordial throughout the whole RMA process. However, it's been > 3 weeks since I ordered it, and we need the PC to be set up by next week. Without this case or the mobo that also arrived battered, I can't test any of the other parts in my order. Given the time it's taken, I should have bought the heavier parts from a local retailer.
I'll definitely continue to buy from Newegg, but I'll be wary of ordering cases online, especially when time is an issue.
