Pros: Extremely Quiet Love the "front" ports all being on the top panel Love the magnetic top cover (that I have closed because I don't need any more fans) I think the case looks fantastic with one complaint (more on that later) I like that both sides of the case easily come off, with captured screws
Cons: Front cover doesn't open for a 5.25 bay. I don't intend to use one again, but it's something you should be aware of. Cable management options in the case look quite nice, but in practice have some issues. There is a board that multiple cables terminate to that could be located in a better area. as is I have to have lots of cables pressed up against it, and some pulled at angles that are just a bit too sharp nearby it. the dedicated 2.5" SSD trays on the back wouldn't fit my PNY SSD, I had to use my old adapter and one of the 3.5" bays. There is a big white LED at the bottom of the case on the front. I like the look of it very much, but I wish there was a button on the top to turn it down or off.
Overall Review: I'll continue to use this case, it looks good, and it's very quiet. I wish they got rid of the 2.5" bays, and added a button for the front LED. My next build will likely have PCIE onboard storage regardless so it'll eliminate most of my drive bay concerns.
Pros: + Tempered glass window + Steel construction + Great cable management + Utilizes back of the case for mounting 2.5" drives and such + Multiple liquid-cooled solution mounts + Removable, easy to clean bottom filter
Cons: - A half-inch long edge of the tempered glass is chipped
Overall Review: This is a very solid, beautiful case. It was a bit of a let-down to unpackage it and see the decently sized chip out of the tempered glass. What bothers me the most is that based on how the glass sets into position on the side of the case, where the impact happened means that if it happened while the glass was installed, there would be damage to the chassis as well - but that is not the case. The case was well packaged and protected. The product images and included video really explains everything about this case very well. The accent lighting under the front of the case is a different touch than I'm used to, personally. I was glad to see the emphasis and utilization of allowing for many 2.5" drive mounting stations (for lack of a better term) and only a couple 3.5" bays. Overall I'm impressed. Corsair has really pushed themselves to delivering products to gamers and computer enthusiasts. Kudos to another quality build/product!
Pros: Glass Side Power supply covered in its own area. Plenty of room for radiator in the front.
Cons: Glass was a little tricky to get back on.
Pros: This is a Mid-Tower Gaming case with excellent cooling air flow design, a see thru acrylic side panel, Front Panel and under the Power Supply, removable, washable filters. A Snap on and off front cover, with gaps for excellent air flow. The feel is a solid cover with bold holder tabs, so they hold and don’t break. Comes with 2-120mm fans and room for several more, or liquid cooling system radiators up to 360mm. Motherboard sizes: Mini ATX / ATX or Mini-ITX boards fit. It has a nice size opening for the rear, for access to mount CPU Coolers. Top Front; Power & Reset Buttons. The Reset Button is nicely set, so you don’t accidently hit it, yet east to use. 1ea Headphone & Microphone Jacks. 2 x 3.0 USB Slots. All on the top of the front cover. Room for 2_3.5” SSD or HDD drives, plus 4-locations for 2.5” drives for a total of 6 drives. Designed for maximum air flow and cooling.
Cons: Not a Con, an oversite correction. Up to 6 drives can be install internally, the specs page shows 4. The illustration shows the 6 locations correctly.
Overall Review: A Minimalists Mid Tower Gaming Case and don’t let the word minimalists have you think minimal, because it means minimal interference for amazing air flow. It’s a very nicely thought out case. Passages to help your mod and routing of cables. A vented PSU chamber with options to run cable behind as well as into the case. The way you can pick fan or radiator sizes is big. From 6 120mm setups to a 360mm front install, plenty of options for a huge amount of air flow. Eliminating front CD/DVD drives and HDD/SSD storage, the full front filtered opening behind the cover really breathes. There is no need for CD/DVD drives anymore and if you do a USB external will do the job. An External CD/DVD Drive will allow you to still use CD/DVD’s if needed, most today is on Memory Sticks. I’ll admit that my first impression is far different than now. This plain white gaming case that’s not expensive, how does it really rate? I moved everything out of a full gaming tower and accepted the opportunity to review this out of curiosity, can an inexpensive mid tower keep me cooler than what I have? The answer is a big yes and a huge happy surprise when I built and found great ways to route power and SATA cables. Run cables also in just the back of the case using the opening behind the PSU. This holds up to 6 drives. There are 2 locations in the back lower for 3.5/2.5 slide out drive holders, and 4 additional 2.5 drive locations hidden in the rear. The 2 with thumbscrew brackets are designed so you can remove them with all installed. SSD’s don’t run hot like HDD’s, but air flow does passthrough and cool from the lower front. The way the case is designed it’s really a focus on cooling and air flow for the whole case. The side Acrylic cover is secured with 4 screws and rubber grommets. The light grey color is real nice, and the thickness is more then others I have seen. That’s good, because it won’t get damaged as easily. I do like that all the LEDs on my board, Video Card and the case itself look awesome. There is a lot of that can be done with this case, to mod the way you want or just enjoy how beautiful everything looks. The front cover design really allows the fans to pull air. I own many Corsair Products and have for many years, they are a leader in the industry. The few times I needed support, it was easily available. It’s the little details in how metal is shaped to the crafty rear design and air flow that show Corsairs experience in case design. I’m surprised, it’s always the rule of pay more get more. Well… this case breaks that rule. For not a lot of money this case cools better than my way more expensive case by design and I’m not going to reverse and put everything back into my full tower, now that I have used and reviewed this. I want the better cooling and love how my build turned out. Removing the front design for CD/DVD drives, gives the case a clean look (less for little fingers to play with) and is roomy for any build. The quality, 5 year warranty, excellent customer service, I do recommend this Corsair Carbide Series 275R Mid Tower Gaming Case.
Pros: - Sturdy - Quiet (the sound-dampening panels work decently) - Lots of room - Not distracting; has a simplistic look
Cons: - The front-port USBs are 3.0 only, and don't come with a fallback 2.0 motherboard header - The front face is a bit difficult to remove and requires a good bit of force for the first few removals - There's no explanation or specifications for the vertical expansion card slots
Overall Review: - I'm using an ASUS KCMA-D8 motherboard, which fits into the case no problem - The power headers on that motherboard are at the top-left of the board, which has no screw holding or motherboard support; need to be a bit careful with removal and insertions - The case supports full-ATX boards. I don't know if this is clearly stated or obvious, but I had to look on Corsair's website to make sure of this. - I would have liked to see some kind of stands for the top cover to allow it to remain on-top of the case, but have air flow past it off to the sides - It would have been cool if the lights on the front of the case were supported by Corsair's RGB tech, or even had a button to change between different colors and animations (I have a Corsair CPU fan that came with a button for this) - The vertical expansion card slots "do not" align with the standard motherboard expansion slots. I had the idea to buy a 3rd-party PCI-E riser cable to have a GPU placed in the vertical slots, but the cable expects to be completely straight and not move to the sides. The slot itself ends up about 1-3cm over to the right of the motherboard slots. This "could" work if you buy a long enough riser cable that allows for some bend as well. - Since my motherboard doesn't support USB 3.0 or its front-panel header, I ordered a cheap PCI-E USB 3.0 board with a front-panel header; it works great - There is no HDD activity light included nor any spot reserved for one. I'm not a fan of this trend personally
Pros: Case has a nice minimalist design, allowing your components to be the main attraction on your computer. Lights included in the case are soft, not overbearing or distracting in a dimly lit room. Front panel is placed at the top, giving the front of the computer a clean look. Plenty of area for mounting a variety of radiators for water cooling. Everything feels sturdy, including the acrylic window panel. The overall quality in parts show.
Cons: 2x 3.5 drive slots is a little lower than I would prefer in a desktop case. It does have 4x 2.5 slots (primary use in a desktop being SSD), however if you are planning to fill 4x slots with SSDs, you are probably looking at a $100+ range case. Every build is different, and I imagine someone would likely find this arrangement preferable. Not having a slot for an optical drive could be considered a con, however I'd imagine the main crowd attracted to this case is purchasing digit content and doesn't have much use for optical drives. Just keep in mind to have an external drive if the need does arise.
Overall Review: I would recommend this case to anyone looking for a nice, clean looking case. The acrylic panel is pretty nice, however the tempered glass version is only $10 more. If you can fit $10 more into your budget and don't mind the slight difference in look on the panel (black border) it may be the better option.
Pros: The 275R has a more minimalistic look for the less edgy of us out there. The acrylic version of the tower is great for some light modding, but if you’re someone that can afford a tid bit more I would recommend the glass panel version (it has a few extra perks for only $10 more). A fully enclosed basement shroud is definitely the right direction. This makes for a clean and easy way to hide that potential cable mess, and/or additional addons (hubs, USB expansion, etc.). The full shroud is much nicer than having to buy an additional sold separately plate to close the shroud off (570X tower). Rubber grommets are a huge win in any tower, but if you want those, you need to purchase the $10 more glass panel version. They will not be found here in the acrylic variant. The top IO is nice and discretely placed. The top IO covers the bases with power, reset, headphone and mic inputs, and two USB 3.0. Corsair added an interesting white LED light at the base of the front that adds a little extra flare and glow. Some may find this odd but it does not bother me. Looks nice, but really, that’s up to whoever buys it if they like it or not. The tower can accommodate up to a 360mm rad in the front. This makes perfect sense since Corsair just released the H150i (their first 360mm rad). The front of the tower has a brushed aluminum look, it looks great, however it is plastic stylized to appear this way. The removable 3.5” drive cage is concealed away in the shroud, and supports two 3.5” HDDs. The back of the motherboard tray supports up to four places for SSDs, two of which feature captive thumb screw trays for ease of installation. The actual cut out behind the motherboard tray is massive, offering plenty of working room for easy cooler installation. The acrylic version has dust filters but lacks the premium top dust filter of it’s $10 more sibling (glass panel version). So while it’s always a plus to have nice filters, it is at the same time discouraging this model lacks the quality/luxury top dust filter. The feet under the tower offer a nice ‘different’ look. They aren’t the typical feet you may come to expect in most minimalist, lower budget towers. They actually look really nice (in my opinion) and offer a little contrast and freshness to the whole design.
Cons: Corsair is using a more flush mounted allen/hex key screw to hold the panel on to the chassis. I absolutely hate this… The rubber spacers meant to be affixed to the tower all fell off. Over tightening is a concern for damage. The whole process of removing the panel is an obnoxious process and eliminates any ease of access to the tower one may expect or hope for. Thumb screws (like on the 570X) make life so much simpler and make removing the panel so much easier for easy access. Fan spacing up top is awkward. Towards the front (top) of the tower you can fit one 140mm fan (slightly offset). Or you can skip this awkward solitary placement and install two 120mm fans… which no matter how you orient them offer a lot of dead space that looks awkward/wimpy/bad. The GPU can be mounted vertically which I think is very cool, unfortunately it gets dangerously close to the side panel and this can cause problems. It can choke the GPU for fresh cool intake air. An additional problem (especially on the acrylic variant) is that it can cause dust build up on the staticy acrylic panel which will leave dust circles at the fans location from sucking inwards. This will lead to you needing to wipe it down when that occurs, further leading to potential micro scratches on the side panel, and also forcing you to open the tower which as I mentioned is a miserable task. Furthermore, and keeping with the trend of current Corsair products (sorry Corsair but it is true) they only offer you HALF of something here. They do not include the riser cable with the tower for vertical mounting. (570X with the missing shroud enclosure… H150i with no TR4 bracket…. All sold separately…) Not including a riser cable is a noteworthy ‘missing item’ from this product.
Overall Review: I love Corsair, but they aren’t immune to weird ideas and flops. This tower is a potential power house for affordable minimalist builders but…come on… Why a low rating? It’s just a misfit child against its $79 sibling (which still suffers from some of the same cons such as the allen key panels). Corsair I’m a little confused. You produce two versions of this tower at such a minimal difference in cost, but it seemingly makes no sense for the acrylic version to really exist. If it was the subtle difference of preference for people why are not both versions of the tower exactly the same with the only difference being acrylic, or glass. If someone prefers acrylic over glass (let’s say to do light modding, frost, or logo work) they sacrifice things like the grommets, and the nice top dust filter… but why should they have to? It’s my opinion the 275R Acrylic version doesn’t deserve to belong in the lineup for such a negligible price difference and missing (luxury) key features that the glass version has. For $10 someone can get more premium features, making the acrylic model obsolete right out of the gates. I specifically wanted the acrylic panel for a project I have planned. Disappointment in the lacking features of this tower brought me down compared to the glass version. The glass version is a 5/5 minimalist tower. The acrylic version is a shortcoming of its sibling’s greatness. Skip this for the glass unless you have a specific reason for wanting acrylic.

Pros: An absolutely stunning case at a great price. 6 hard drive storage options (2 x 3.5”, 4 x 2.5” SSD or mechanical). Excellent cable management and PSU shroud. No drive bays in the front, so a complete view of all components is there. It is a very wide case, but not too wide, so it should accommodate many types of PC coolers. The secondary power connector for the motherboard is easily routable from the back side of the case. Dust filters on the top, bottom, and front (front and top are magnetic). Options to vertically mount your graphics card (optional PCI riser is needed). Will accommodate all major graphics card lengths. PSU shroud will accommodate all lengths of power supplies. Overall, it is just a great mid-range case.
Cons: While it is huge on the inside for a mid-case, it’s still a mid-case. So the more you cram into it, the tighter its going to get. There are no options for DVD drives or card readers, so keep that in mind. Only 2 3.5” HDD storage options.
Overall Review: My first impressions of the case were incredible and it only increased from there. This case not only looks great, but it is incredible functional and well thought out. It really solves all the other issues I have faced with previous mid tower cases that use the same style (psu shroud/component display). The issue of feeding the 8-pin power cable from the back of the case was always a challenge. Corsair made huge holes in those areas to allow that process to be easy and effortless, a huge plus for me. Top mounted 240mm radiators most of the time caused issues with contact with the motherboard/heatsinks in mid cases. In this case, corsair moved the mounts closer to the tempered glass in an effort to alleviate that as much as possible. The removal of the drive cages in the front really open air flow up and allow a bigger view of components. The HDD cage at the bottom can be removed to allow any size of PSU to be used, although it will fit most PSU’s with the HDD cage installed. For those worried about large 2.5” HDD’s mounting on the back, the two spots to the left will accommodate large 12.5mm 2.5” HDD’s. Cooling options are abundant in this case. 2 x 120’s on the top. You could also do a 120 and a 140 on the top. 3 x 120’s in the front or 2 x 140’s. Personally, I think this would be a perfect case for a 360mm radiator in the front as it will help fill out the void in the front of the case and this case will really highlight it. Anything will look good here, but a front mounted 360mm will really stand out. A 280mm will also mount in the front and a 240mm radiator will mount up top. Overall, this is wonderful mid-size case. It offers tons of options mixed with value and class. It screams expensive while being affordable. It also offers an incredible amount of install options and can accommodate so many different kinds of builds. The only negative I can find with this case are those who use a lot of 3.5” HDD’s or need 5.25” drive bays. Outside of that, I love it and it is a home run in my book. Kudos to Corsair for taking all the small things into consideration on this and making a great mid-tower at a great price. A home run on looks and functionality.
