6 programmable G keys (5 on the left side of the keyboard and a sixth one to the right of the space bar) allow for quick access to a variety of functions. Fully configurable, all of them make your life easier by enabling you to access the functions you want without interfering with the standard keys of the keyboard. Five keys on the left side of the keyboard, near the WASD keys for quick access without moving your hand, and a key just to the right of the space bar for thumb use. More keys, no extra hand movements.
Your keyboard is already configured, you are playing and suddenly realize that there is another macro that would come in handy for the game you're currently playing. Pros: Good balance of price and durability, unusual in a membrane board. Orange backlight looks good on the black board. Audio controls work flawlessly. **UPDATE** Keyboard not as durable as I thought. See below.
Cons: Not a fan of the split spacebar, but it is not a hindrance. **UPDATE** I am typing the edit to this keyboard about seven months after purchasing this keyboard. The rubber domes of this keyboard are failing on the left third of the keyboard. The E, S, A, D, X, C, and F keys either do not register or require several presses for the key to register. Since I use this keyboard mainly for heavy duty typing due to my job, this is unacceptable after such a short period. I am typing this on a cheap $10 keyboard right now. The M1 key has a short circuit or something - when using the M1 profile, typing will sporadically and randomly act as if ALL the keys on the keyboard are being pressed, rendering typing or any other sort of action unusable. I have not spilled ANYTHING on this keyboard, as I do not keep food or drink on my desk.
Overall Review: The keys could be a little more crisp when pressing - it isn't uncommon for them to feel a bit mushy at times. Still, though, they are more responsive than any other membrane keyboard, the membrane on this has far outlasted every other membrane board I've used, and if you're looking for a high quality keyboard but don't find a mechanical board you like, this is a good compromise. **UPDATE** Given that I bought this keyboard in July and it is now failing in February (about 7 1/2 months) after moderately heavy use primarily for typing, I can no longer recommend this keyboard.
