LIAN LI Lancool First Knight Series PC-K57W Black SECC / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Picked this case up for $55 shipped a few months back. It's a good case for the money. Cable management is good when combined with a modular power supply. Construction is solid for a case that's pop-riveted together. 3 months of use and no rattles yet.

Cons: You will experience some installation difficulties when using the Corsair Hydro series liquid cooling. The 120mm radiator will make contact with one of the rivets on the case. The power/reset buttons can be difficult to locate due to their position, but easily fixed with a bit of white model paint applied to the recessed markers on the button faces.

Overall Review: The power/HD activity LED's colors can bleed into each other creating an odd looking purple color, but easily fixed by glueing a small "divider" between the LED's. (I used a an old drive jumper for mine) Overall a very solid case. I'm just annoyed at times by the little things. (I'm a bit OCD'd)

Pros: -Good cable management -Nice design -Tooless -Window is nice to look through -

Cons: -Interior isn't painted, no big deal though. Hardware blocks most of the view anyways. The only time it would bug me is if I put a micro-ATX motherboard in it. Other than that nothing is wrong with this case

Overall Review: Not really a con, but the little tooless railing system they use for the CD/DVD drives doesn't feel the sturdiest. So far I've never had a drive fall out or anything, but it's just the feel of it.

Pros: Great case even if you don't catch it on sale. Happened to get it for $50 a ways back, pretty amazing deal for the thing. Lots of little details that you won't see with other manufacturers' in the same price range.

Pros: Very well built case. Lots of room for large video cards, the box says 410mm (16.14 inches). There are a lot of vibration dampening grommets for screws, and the case is entirely tool less. Thumbscrews are used for everything, and the PSU is mounted using a metal strap. Pretty neat.

Cons: The interior isn't painted. A minor gripe, but noteworthy. I really didn't like the rail system it uses for the CD/DVD drives. Didn't feel like there was enough support, I opted to use screws to secure it.

Overall Review: Very good deal, I bough it while it was 20% off along with free shipping!

Pros: Looks great. Comes with quiet fans.

Cons: You have to hook up the front USB 3.0 through a back connection via USB 3.0 cord, which it does not come with. Front usb connections died rather quickly. Don't plan to use the front headphone/mic connections. For whatever reason, they will not take the standard size. For what it's worth I don't think there is a size that will fit it. It feels more like a faulty design

Overall Review: I really like how this case looks, and I ignored the reviews in which people had the same problems I am having. That's my fault. Can't use front audio/mic ports. Sometimes I can Jimmy-rig it to work, but the plugs seem to slip out eventually anyway. front usb ports stopped working. Nothing more to be said. Anyway, the inside of the case is laid out nicely, plenty of room. That said, this case feels like a full tower almost. It's only slightly smaller than my old full tower, so don't expect it to be moving it around easily. Having had it since last year, it's an alright case. However, I wished I would've taken better reviews over looks.

Pros: Great case for the money I spent. I have built a couple dozen cases and most with cases in the $50 range. This rivals the newest case I bought (Antec 300). I have done TT, CM and a couple recent MSI cases that will be my go to along with the Antec 300 if they provide a USB 3.0. Cable management is good and overall I would buy this case over and over for what I payed on shell shocker with an OCZ power supply. With rebates I payed $60 for both this and an OCX ZS 550. Worked great for a sub $500 build!!

Cons: Front USB, Audio etc are hardly useable! Changed them out!! Not the best case but I have yet to find one better for $40 or less. Would still compare favorably to any good case on sale for $50 or less!

Overall Review: I5 2500K @4.2 overclock (Motherboard Memory and CPU bought at M1cro Center to save some $90 over Newegg), OCZ ZS 550, Corsair Dominator DDR 1600 2 Xs 4 GB Soon to upgrade. WD Black 750 GB ( will add a Vertex4 soon), this case and a LG BRD, DVD burner and and decent aftermarket cooler. Oh.. And 2 extra fans to make what I started a $550 blazing fast computer. Will add that SSD and switch out the memory (which I will add to another comp) to DDR 2133 2X8 to up the cost about another $300 but will be well worth it!

Pros: Great value for the price, and looks cool with a side panel window. Not the easiest case I've ever worked with, but not the worst either. Plenty of space for a tall heatsink; fits the Hyper 212+ with room to spare. Easy access points and pretty good cable management options. Lines up well with the back panel; you're not jiggling the motherboard around to get it to fit, like with some cases. Comes with USB 3.0 on the front, with an adapter so you can use it as USB 2.0 if your motherboard doesn't support it.

Cons: Tries to use a ton of gimmicks to make the case "easy," but half of them get in the way more than anything. The hard drive mounting system in particular is just moronic - it's sideways and uses special proprietary screws that are supposed to cut down on noise but really did not leave me feeling comfortable that the thing is secured. It is also pushed very close up against the front 140mm intake fan, meaning that 1) If you want to change out that fan, you have to take out the hard drives and cage, and 2) You are ONLY using another 140mm fan; there's no room for one of those adapters for a 120mm fan. They also tried to do that screwless mounting system for DVD drives, but this one looked very flimsy and I hate them anyway, so I just ripped it out and used screws like a normal person. The extra power supply mounting clamp is probably good in theory, but I really doubt it's necessary.

Pros: I bought this item on sale & was extremely pleased with what I got for my money! Heavy duty, well laid-out, good cable management & removable fan filters. I would expect to pay at least twice what this case cost for the quality.

Cons: My con's are minor if anything. The inside was not painted - a purely cosmetic complaint. When putting an IDE drive all the way into the HDD holder, there is no room for the molex connector against the back bracket. Had to seat the drive slightly forward & out of place for clearance. Even though the mounting of everything is "toolless", I'd prefer that holes be available for us insecure types that don't mind putting everything together with screws.

Overall Review: The first case I received had a crack on the plexiglass window where one of the mounting screws had been over torqued. Of course I didn't notice this until I'd finished my build & was removing the protective film. I contacted the MFG via email & I was sent a replacement side panel very quickly & at no charge.
