Pros: Dual-zone LED back lighting (separate lighting for arrow + WASD keys), media controls, comfortable action on the MX browns, extremely quiet for a mechanical keyboard, enough G-keys (if you use these); USB port on backside
Cons: Power connection requires two USB ports on your mobo (you should have plenty, but for people that have a lot of peripherals, this could be a detractor), I love it for $117 (what I paid) but wouldn't have pulled the trigger at $149 (too many other viable options for $20-30 less); obligatory mention of the el cheapo palm rest
Overall Review: Regarding the need for two USB ports on your mobo. This can actually be a great thing, as using two ports will supply enough power for devices that have on board memory (like the Logitech G13) that don't normally work in a standard keyboard USB port/hub -- so definitely a good thing in my book. Also regarding the palm rest, while it is indeed very flimsy -- and not at all indicative of the solid, high quality construction of the keyboard itself, it is just a palm rest, and you don't need a heavy-duty piece of plastic there to support your wrists. It gets the job done while being lightweight, and for whom this keyboard is marketed for -- a lot of those people would leave the palm rest in the box and never use it. I was a long time user of a Logitech G11, and didn't realize how used I gotten to the back lit keys. I got the bug to give a mechanical board a try, and I chose a model from another maker that was non-back lit. Big mistake if you split time gaming/posting in forums/other typing tasks with the lights off at night. I struggled to see the keys in a big way, and knew that I needed to go back to a back lit board. That board was also extremely loud (MX blues) and while it didn't bother me -- it was way too noisy for my wife, or anybody else in the room. I've used a lot of gaming keyboards/mice from just about everybody out there, and have always been happy with the build quality/functionality balance that Logitech strikes. When I read a few reviews about how quiet the G710+ was, I put it on my watch list. It went on sale, I pulled the trigger -- and can't be happier. While I don't have a lot of experience with mechanical keyboards (have only used Cooler Master, Razer, and now Logitech), I feel pretty good saying this is the best board I've ever used. Like a lot of Logitech products (from my experience) they may not be at the top of the charts on a given feature (feel of left/right-click mouse precision, for example) but they are never bottom of the charts on any feature. Nothing worse than having (for example) a keyboard with excellent back lighting, a pair of USB ports, a sturdy palm rest...paired with mushy keys that have the paint wearing off after 4 months. I'd much rather have a component that's even, instead of those peaks and valleys. So, while there are definitely keyboards out there that have cooler back lighting (multiple colors, pulse, etc), a heavy-duty palm rest, and a ton of macro keys (instead of just a few) -- there are very few that combine ALL of those elements into one great package. The G710+ succeeds very well here, with the only caveat being it's regular price. Highly recommended -- and an easy "push the buy button" when it's on sale.
Pros: - Excellent build quality. This is expected of mechanical keyboards vs rubber dome but I could "twist" my g19 and it would give way. That's not the case with the G710+ - Software is great too. Had a G19 before this one and it kept my profiles (just had to re-arrange some things as this one has one less row of G keys). - G keys are in a great spot for me. I could not mind them above the F keys either like someone else suggested but I love them on the left hand side. - USB passthrough is a great addition and it is optional for those of you with limited USB slots. - Cherry brown switches is a great option for a gaming keyboard. - Included, pre installed O rings underneath each key for quieter keys when you do bottom out.
Cons: - Orange accent takes a little while to get used to and it seems a little bit out of place. However I've grown to like it over the past days. - Caps/num/scroll and windows key LEDs at the top right of the keyboard are not dimmable like all the other keys so they really shine in a dark room. Nothing some tape can't fix, though. - Would prefer the G710+ icon to also light up like the G19 did but now I'm just nit picking.
Overall Review: - Please ignore the ignorant reviewers that condemn the keyboard or say they don't like it based on the switches alone. You should try the switches and get accustomed to them before placing an order. It's very clear it comes with Cherry MX Brown. - Cherry MX browns DO have tactile feedback, those who can't feel it should either go with Blues or get their sense of touch tested. I do not bottom out with Browns (unless I'm typing extremely fast but that's just because I'm used to horrible horrible rubber dome keyboards). - Be careful -- once you try out a mechanical you will not want to type on anything else!
Pros: This board is built like a tank, key strokes aren’t too loud. Dual illumination is a nice feature along with the one USB 2.0 port on the keyboard. Played some Diablo III with good results, planning on Borderlands 2 this evening...
Cons: Poor quality control: out of box back lights on the key pad numbers flickered and never came back on. Have to box up and send back to Newegg...
Pros: Keyboard software is great, build quality is nice, clean white backlighting, and Cherry MX Blue switches. Has a full power USB 2.0 port. Media keys work well.
Cons: None really, unless you prefer a different switch type.
Overall Review: I have the G710+ and bought the G710 to try out Cherry MX Blues. Functionally, the keyboards are the same. The difference is the G710+ has MX Browns and rubber o-rings vs the G710 which has Blues and no o-rings. I tend to bottom out my keys, so having the o-rings makes a huge difference in feel and noise.
Pros: good keyboard
Cons: no cons so far
Overall Review: just want to know why the price skyrocketed....I paid $89 for this keyboard last year...why is it selling today for $188 today?
Pros: -Price -Very nice build and heavy duty -Different levels of brightness for keys -Media buttons -Easy accessible volume control - this thing comes in insanely handy because I use a monitor that requires multiple buttons to be pushed on the bottom of it just to access volume control -Keys feel amazing - could be just me loving the Cherry MX Browns -Sleek look
Cons: -Orange strip around the G1-G6 keys -Keys only light up one color -If you look carefully the key colors seem tinted yellow-ish, some bright white, some off white. Was like that brand new -Keys are a little bit more spaced out than I would like - Might be rough for people with smaller hands -Heaviness might turn people off from it a bit. Would not recommend this keyboard for people who plan on traveling a ton with it because it feels quite heavy for a gaming keyboard. Works perfect for me because I keep my keyboard in 1 place and it will never move. Note : These "cons" are more personally preference and not enough to knock an egg off!
Overall Review: I noticed many people said this keyboard REQUIRES 2 USB ports to function properly but that's just simply untrue. They probably plugged in the wrong USB and thought they needed to use both. I've been using mine with 1 plug in for over a year with no issues. EDIT : I'm reading on many websites that it requires 2 USB ports but mine works with 1 USB port. Very strange! This is easily the best keyboard I've ever used. The quality is simply amazing. I don't plan on replacing this keyboard for a very long time unless they make a newer version that I actually like and doesn't stink! (I'm looking at YOU G910!)
Pros: *Ergonomic *Good key feedback *Nice color separation of WASD and arrow keys *Bright backlight *Solid construction
Cons: *Flimsy wrist rest compared to some other gaming keyboards *Price compared to similar models - wait till it goes on sale
Overall Review: This keyboard delivers. This is the third keyboard I've bought in about a year because I just couldn't find one that I liked. First was the Logitech 510 which was pretty good but kinda dull in the keys. Next I bought the Corsair Vengeance K90 and it was beautiful and well constructed but the keys were too sensitive, and worst of all the keys would go dead in the middle of a game, forcing a restart. Their firmware updates didn't fix this. I finally had enough of the K90's problems so I gave this keyboard a try and have finally found the right fit. Pro gamers go for simplicity, and that's what this keyboard delivers. It just works, and works well. Everything is designed to contrast with other parts, so you can find the keys you need quickly. For those who also use their keyboard to type, it works like a charm for this purpose as well. Logitech really got it right with this keyboard and I look forward to many happy years with it.

Pros: I've been using Logitech Gaming Keyboards since they invented the genre with the original G15, and the G710 Blue continues this solid pedigree. Here's a rundown of the key highlights of this keyboard +The blue switches feel amazing. Anyone who remembers those old IBM "clicky" keys will appreciate these..except for maybe anyone else who lives with you, more on this later. +The key caps are well made, sturdy, feel great with a slight matte finish to them. Contrast for WASD and arrow keys, you can also control the level of illumination for these key groups as well. I've had issues in the past with some Logitech keyboards including the original G15 where the keycaps would get loose over time, no such issue on these. The space bar is the only key that is not as tight and responsive as I would like. +The media keys and volume wheel are really handy features. +G-keys are a little more understated with only 6, so if you are a heavy G-key user you may need the G510 or G910 instead. +Amazingly heavy, well built. They must have a slab of lead in this thing because it is HEAVY. Really nice though because it prevents the keyboard from sliding around even when I am pounding out 100+wpm like I am now or 150+apm when heavy gaming.
Cons: Nothing to take off, but some annoyances nonetheless -It is LOUD. Know this before you buy this. If you live with others that are noise sensitive, or share a space while gaming, you may want to consider the G710+ with the dampened MX Browns. Personally, the G710+ didn't feel much better than domed rubber cap keyboard, and while my wife always jokes about the loudness of this keyboard, she hasn't demanded that I get rid of it, yet either. -The cord is really thick, and kinda ugly. They got away with 1 USB header in the past, not sure why they needed 2 here. -Only USB2.0 for onboard port, and since it uses 2xUSB ports, its not really giving you an extra header. -Keyboard does not remember lighting settings between reboots. -Keyboard cannot wake system from S3 sleep. This is apparently a known issue and imo, a hardware/firmware problem. Logitech's suggestion is to disable any "Allow Windows to power off" USB devices/hubs/controllers in Devmgr but I did this for about 20 entries and this did nothing. Again, I think this is a firmware issue, but not a deal-breaker since I can just wake with mouse click. -Palm rest is serviceable, but something more textured/padded would've been even nicer.
Overall Review: I got this on sale during the holiday run up for $90, and I'm pleased with it for this price. Keys are solid, sure, responsive.
