Pros: Almost too spacious High quality materials Support for 2 PC's in one case Futureproof with USB type C and HDMI ports on the front Quiet considering it has 5 fans Great looking
Cons: Insanely heavy - Good for quality, bad for back No 24 pin ATX power extension included - Come on Phanteks. It's a $900 case. I think you can spring for a 24 pin extension. No spot for hardware storage inside the case - Most cases have a spot to put the extra screws and whatnot, such as in a 3.5" bay So many options for mounting hardware, you have to do some serious planning Front I/O panel is more difficult to open that I would like Gets fingerprints on it easily
Overall Review: I have been jonesing for a no compromise case since my Zalman GT1000. Most cases are made of chintzy plastic and stamped steel. Windows are made of plastic and front bezels are injection molded plastic. I previously had a Corsair 750D Airflow and it was a well thought out case, but it just left me wishing for something built to a higher standard. I almost pulled the trigger on an Inwin 909 a few times, but I just didn't like how you had to fish all your cables through the back of the case to connect them to the rear I/O ports. I also didn't like the radiator options. It was definitely on point from a materials perspective, though. Once the Enthoo Elite showed up, I knew I was going to be dropping $900. I _absolutely do not_ regret spending $900 on this case. There are no compromises with this case. Everything is built to an extremely high standard. Every detail has been well thought out. The stamped steel is still there, but it's kept to a minimum. There is a glut of radiator and fan options. If custom loops are your thing, this is the case for you. If I open the door and put my hand inside, no matter where I put it, there is good airflow. The are a few things I would have liked to have seen done differently: -The front IO panel is a little hard to open without shaving off the tops of your fingernails. They should have put some more thought into how this opens. -The front IO panel is sturdy, but it's still made of plastic and for $900, it should be metal. -There should be a spot designed to store extra hardware inside the case. -There should be a 24 pin ATX power extension included. This is just Phanteks being cheap/greedy and it's somewhat offensive when they are charging $900 for a computer case. Considerations: -This thing will be too heavy to move when you are done assembling your PC. I am 6'2" with a large, muscular frame. The case was too heavy and awkward for me to move by myself from where I built it to where it lives now. I had to remove the top, side, and front panels, as well as the tempered glass to lighten it up to the point where I could move it without giving myself a hernia. -You are most likely going to need extended 24pin ATX and 8pin EPS cables. The case comes with a nice EPS extension, but no 24 pin. You can purchase extensions from companies like Bitfenix for fairly cheap. I have an EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 power supply and the included 600mm 24 pin cable was BARELY long enough to connect to the motherboard, which is currently an ASUS x99-A USB 3.1 (I have an EVGA X99 FTW K on the way). I had to route the cable around the front of the case and up along the side of the motherboard, instead of through the back. I purchased a BitFenix Alchemy 24-Pin 30cm extension and it works great.
