Get an SFX PSU 3/25/2020 1:10:19 PM

Pros: - roomy for how small it is (assuming you get an SFX PSU)
- less pricey than alternatives
- looks great

Cons: - USB 3 front panel header cable is too long
- side air filters are pretty ugly when installed
- airflow is backwards from what i would want

Overall Review: The Raijintek Ophion is an awesome small form factor tower. I wanted something that wouldn't take up too much desk space since my desk is pretty narrow. I was running a mid-atx case which was too tall and heavy to place on the desk. On the floor dust was a major issue and this was the most suitable case that would also house my AIO.

In basically every case I've used the USB header cables are too long to effectively manage and the side air filters are pretty ugly...which brings me to my biggest gripe. To create positive pressure I have to bring in air from the top where there are two 120mm fan spots through the AIO. This is not ideal. Bringing air in from the top and exhausting it from the bottom creates a heat loop meaning thermals are not exactly where I'd like to see them.

With that said, the case is awesome, thermals are livable and there is plenty of room for everything including my full sized 1080ti. I am definitely satisfied with this case.

Plan your build 3/20/2020 5:55:47 AM

Pros: Compact design, vented panels, aluminum, atx psu support, includes dust filters, pre mounted riser cable.

Cons: Not much room for cables, 3.5 in drive replaces one fan, only one ssd spot, motherboard io shield did not fit, does not support more than 2 slot gpu.

Overall Review: Great case for the money, would highly recommend, but make sure you know what you are getting into and make sure you’re parts will fit. My gpu does not fit but I am planning on using some standoffs to raise the side panel off so it will fit.

Very good case with a few minor flaws 3/16/2020 7:37:43 PM

Pros: Good looking case
Brushed aluminum
Rubber spacers on the thumb screws as not to damage the tempered glass side panels
Enough room to fit a 240mm NZXT AIO cooler at the top
magnetic dust filters

Cons: USB-C is not Gen 2, but rather Gen 1 tied into the usb 3.0 headder.
Power button is actually Sharp due to the Plastic R . It would have been nice if it was just a smooth aluminum button with an R Etched into it.
A bottom 120mm intake fan is almost a must in this case. It would have been nice if one was included.

Overall Review: This is a small sleek case with enough room to add a 240mm aio cooler and not feel like you have sausage fingers working in a sardine can. The case allows for an ATX power supply, however you may want to use an SFX power supply for more space. You'll need to make sure you have an SFX to ATX Mounting bracket if you do go that route. The power button is actually sharp at the pointed R and is made of plastic for some reason. I'm not quite sure why Raijintek didn't just make it out of the piece of aluminium like the rest of the case. The USB C connector on the front does not require a motherboard that has a Type C front connector, which is too bad as the one I picked had it and is now un-used. Overall, the case gets a 4/5 from me.

Riser cable did not work with RTX 2070 or RTX 2080ti 3/6/2020 5:34:32 PM

Pros: clever concept, if it worked

Cons: works fine until installing a driver manually or through windows update, after which it freezes trying to load the driver, which i think is due to timing issues introduced by the riser cable. Setting pci-e to gen2 in bios did not help either.

Overall Review: do not purchase if you're trying to use with an NVidia RTX 20xx series video card.

It's charm is in the challenge 2/21/2020 4:35:40 PM

Pros: The potential to build something small but spectacular. My particular build looks spectacular.
No included fans means you buy the fans you want and not have to throw out any you don't. Less waste that way.
A standard size ATX power supplies will fit, but a sff ATX power supply will allow for more room for cables.
Extra height above the spine can allow the option of a 240mm AIO water cooler
Option to mount two SSD's up front, behind the fascia.

Cons: What? No front audio jack? C'mon here!
Cable management is a challenge. Gotta plan carefully.
The cutouts for the front 2.5" bays need to be larger to better accommodate right-angle SATA connectors. I can't use mine since the interface stops just short of where I can plug them in. Straight cables have to be used there.
With the front fascia off, be careful with that power button that you don't accidentally break it.

Overall Review: I would recommend this case for those looking to build a small sandwich gaming rig. For me, this was about the best balance I could find with respect to size, features, availability, and price. I'm using an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X with standard Wraith Spire cooler. Those with Wraith Stealth coolers won't fit. Be sure to connect your PCI-e cable to your motherboard before screwing the motherboard in.

Not for High End 12/12/2019 10:29:08 AM

Pros: - Looks great
- Relatively Inexpensive sandwich style case
- fits most things as advertised

Cons: - Literally the hottest case i've ever used
- couldn't fit a regular size fan underneath the motherboard, you'd need to use a slim fan
- Larger graphics cards might be a very tight squeeze

Overall Review: The case arrived in pretty decent packaging. There were no visual or structural defects when I pulled it out. When installing the motherboard, my case seemed to have slightly misaligned standoffs. I had to leave one screw out to prevent pressure from affecting the board. The case runs INCREDIBLY hot, and thermal throttles very quickly with a 5700XT and a 9600k. Even leaving the side panels off doesn't seem to resolve the issue. Regular gameplay shows frequent BSOD for oeverheating, even after installing a liquid cooler. I would not recommend this for high end, high performance use.

Great little case 10/1/2019 4:50:56 PM

Pros: -Much more budget friendly compared to similar cases.
-Supports full atx
-supports 240mm radiator and with light modifications can support 280mm up top along with a 120 in the bottom location.
-clever front 2.5 drive locations.

Cons: -the center spline/backbone does seem to flex a bit.
-Would have rather had the front io to be 2 usb a ports.
-my case seems to be slightly different than others i've seen.
-if you want 3 fans, you'll lose support for 3.5" drive.

Overall Review: I bought this case and was planning on doing a hard line water loop with 1 240mm radiator. I then seen another build using a slim 120 fan and radiator in the bottom fan intake. So i to went that route but found out that my power cord and gpu sit lower than whats in the pictures and that builders case. And it prevented me from having the radiator square along with the fan from sitting correctly on the radiator. Cant knock the case for that as that spot was originally only designed for a 120mm fan, which sits in that spot fine. I see the holes to be able to mount the riser higher but unable to as my gpu bracket cant go higher.

Just right... 7/22/2019 7:42:30 AM

Pros: - very compact
- stylish
- decent thermals (i7 - 4790k with Noctua NH-L9x65 @ 79c with CPU at 100% load, non oc; 1070 Asus blower style card @ 80c running under Superposition, 4k benchmark after 20 minutes).
- looks sick with aluminum panels (HAD TO BUY FOR LONDON)

Cons: - very hard to work in...use sfx vice atx psu
- noisy under load (which is expected)
- Newegg doesn't sale metal side panels -
- white power button is too big and bright
