It shouldn't matter. I have mine plugged into a usb 3.0, but it will work in a 2.0 slot.

what is the weight?

A little bit less than a pound. If worn long enough, say, around 3 hours, it flattens my hair, but doesn't hurt your head or squeeze it.

is is a install disk? or does it download by its self cause my pc doesnt have a dvd drive

No install disk. Once you plug it in it will work. You can go to the corsair website and find any drivers or applications your looking for. All free of coarse. Enjoy the headset, I know I have!

Hi there, Tim. All you will need is an available USB Port (On the PC or available through a USB Hub (powered one would be best)), No 3.5mm jack is needed. I own the Corsair Raptor HS40s myself, they work great, they're comfortable, and they only need a USB port to work.

By looking at the requirements on the manufacturers website, I would assume you need windows. However, you may want to email the manufacturer directly to see if they have the software available for Mac. Of course, you might be able to just download the software on your Mac and see if it works. You can find the software on corsairs site.

No, but for best performance you should balance between USB controllers if you have more than one.

Since these are noise-cancelling (or at least reducing) do they give voice feedback from the mic so you can hear yourself talk?

They aren't THAT noise cancelling. I use them daily and don't struggle with talking at all. To answer your question though, no, they do not. Projecting a persons voice back at them is actually a common way to prevent someone from speaking correctly though, so I don't think you'd want that.

I haven't tried it but from what I've read the day 1 patch for the ps4 should make USB and Bluetooth headsets compatable wth that console.

Do i need a dedicated sound card to get the 7.1 surround sound?

No, you don't. The 7.1 Surround is built into the headset. Download the companion software from Corsair's website to configure the audio to your preference.
