Easy to work in case. Lots of cooling potential 7/23/2020 7:20:29 AM

Pros: -Building in the case is super easy and with lots of room for cable management runs plus the rubber on the cable holes help hide cables from view as well.

-Fans are setup on a 3 bottom air intake with a easily removable dust filter and 1 exhaust fan setup which works perfect for my build as it managed to bring the temps down in my old matx case anywhere from 5-10 Celsius on some parts

-Fans light up in the case even if you don't have a 5V connector but have a 12v instead on ur motherboard although, you have to use the reset button to change the colours of them and are limited to the manufacturers colours but it looks really nice and there's quite a few options to choose from regardless so for most people it should be fine

-Works perfect for atx and Matx boards, i have a Matx board so i had to move 2 of the preinstalled pegs but it comes with a peg remover and basically all the other ones fit no problem

-Hard drive rack and ssd mounts are easy to get out and easy to plug the power cords into once installed

Cons: -I wish rosewill made it easier to tell how the fans are powered in this as its not even in the manual so i had to look around online before buying to see if i needed to buy fan splitters or not. The fans are powered by a sata power connector from your PSU which is easy enough although it means you cant control the individual fans but its good for mobos that only have a few 4pin headers and they are fairly quiet for me atleast

-Also wish rosewill made it clearer that the fans will work without 5v rgb headers and that its just the RGB SYNCS that wont work without the 5v connector. Fans work fine without a 12v header on ur mobo just cant use the digital syncs without it which is fine cause the lights still work using the reset button aslong as u dont have the button plugged into the reset standoffs on ur motherboard but it comes preplugged into the fan controller to change the colours so if u dont care about not having a reset button or dont have a 5v plug then dont worry about it

-The back side panel could also be a bit pushed out i would wish as its hard for me to close it with the wires back there as the hdd and the ssd mounting spots are in the back it makes it hard to be able to fit the extra sata power cords into the back of the case without having to squeeze it close

Overall Review: Great case for the price, definitely a high quality case for the price with lots of room to work in and great airflow. If you can pick it up for around the sale price i got it at of about 100ish Canadian dollars i wouldn't hesitate if ur looking for a case

Looks good, performs meh. 7/20/2020 2:33:02 PM

Pros: Sleek, heavy, and decent quality chassis.

Cons: Fan in the middle will not spin. It is connected properly to the controller, and I have tried multiple spots on the controller. It will spin if you begin the spin manually with your hand, but that is impossible to do from the outside, even with a very thin wire or strong blower. Trust me, I've tried.

The way it is wired would make it time consuming to replace, so I've just left it.

It it annoys me every time I look at it.

Overall Review: If you buy this, make sure you test the fans before you waste your time assembly the entire thing.

Came to me dented 6/26/2020 8:18:30 AM

Pros: Excellent looking case! Normally you’d see a front panel air intake but this one sets you up to possibly have water cooling setup (don’t mix up the radiator single loop). But it does have a spot for 120mm to 240mm radiator single loop cpu/GPU cooling.

Built for cable management. Does come with a GPU holder or support bracket. Extra pieces are in the psu shelf.

Cons: It came to me dented.

And the front panel intake would be nice.

Overall Review: Great case but I wish it didn’t come to me dented.

The budget knock-off that's significantly better than the original 6/24/2020 2:12:34 PM

Pros: -Vastly improved cable management and storage mounting options over the InWin 101
-Slightly more spacious cable management area
-Full-length PSU shroud provides way more space for excess cables than the InWin 101's non-functional hot-swap cage
-Removable drive cage and SSD sleds. Mounting for up to six 2.5" SSD's or four 3.5" HDD's.
-Modular wall-plate for the side exhaust area provides more build options vs the InWin 101
-Front 120mm/140mm slots are perfect for mounting reservoirs or distro plates, even if it's a useless space for actual fans
-Offset intake fan slots allow more room for cables at the bottom of the motherboard
-Removable GPU support brace is vertically adjustable via rails and also swivels, allowing plenty of adjustability. Also has a rubber sleeve to prevent scratching.
-More cable cutouts in key locations, with rubber grommets for the primary cutouts beside the motherboard
-More cable tie points on the back side of the motherboard tray
-Simple hinging side panel mounting system with captive thumb screws
-Single full-length dust filter is easily accessible from the glass-side of the chassis.
-Having the PSU fan do double duty as a top exhaust fan might be the only valid reason in the world to purchase an RGB power supply.

Cons: -Included fans in the Lite version of the case are 3-pin, so no PWM speed control.
-PCIe slot covers are not floating. If you want to use a vertical GPU bracket, you will need to cut some or all of the metal dividers between slot covers.
-Bottom feet could be slightly taller, allowing more airflow to the bottom intake fans.
-Front area has 120mm/140mm slots for mounting fans, reservoirs, or distro plates, but this panel is otherwise sealed with no ventilation. Having some option for ventilation here could have provided great opportunities for modding the removable from panel.
-GPU brace is on the short side and not super sturdy. Shorter cards that don't reach it likely won't weigh enough to need a brace anyway, but super heavy cards might stress the brace a little.

Overall Review: A lot of people will pass on this chassis or look down on it because it's a fairly blatant copy of the InWin 101. InWin is considered by many to be a more established brand with a more premium pedigree, whereas Rosewill, which is Newegg's in-house brand, is considered a budget alternative to the more popular brands, with 'budget' often being considered synonymous with 'inferior'. Having built systems in both the InWin 101 and the Rosewill Prism S Lite, I can confidently say that, in this case, that couldn't be any farther from the truth.

The InWin 101, which this case is based off of, was a conceptually sound design that really dropped the ball in regards to the final execution. Their obsessive fixation on the side exhaust area and 'hot swap' drive bays (that were not actually hot-swappable and actually resulted in MORE steps when changing drives due to the lack of a fixed hot-swap connector plate) resulted in a frustrating build experience major drawbacks in regards to cable management and storage mounting options.

Instead of a gimmicky space-wasting hot-swap cage, Rosewill employs a simple (cost-effective) removable single-deck drive cage that can still fit a pair of 3.5" or 2.5" drives while taking up less space than InWin's solution, leaving plenty of room in the PSU shroud for storing excess cables. Or you can just remove the cage entirely to maximize PSU cable storage space. In the event that you do place drives here, Rosewill has included ventilation slots on the PSU shroud below the drive cage so your drives can breathe a little.

The single most important thing Rosewill has done is add more cable routing cutouts and tie points, while fine tuning the size and spacing of these cutouts, especially at the bottom of the motherboard. There's an additional cutout at both the bottom and side of the motherboard, with the side cutouts having actual rubber grommets- something the 101 didn't have. They also ditched the single large PSU shroud cutout at the top of the motherboard for 2 smaller ones, allowing more granular division of how cables are routed while fixing this issue of excess PSU cable peeking through the oversized cutout in the 101.

Rosewill also removed the arbitrary fixed side fan/rad exhaust mounting frame, with the idiotic plastic air guide holes. They also got rid of the unintuitive plastic 'cable guide' that was ultimately just a plastic divider beside the side exhaust area that restricted your cable routing options while accomplishing nothing (air pressure differentials accomplish the same job without a divider, InWin). This divider made routing SATA cables a nightmare and often pinched them. Rosewill removed this dividing wall while also adding a tiny bit more space between the motherboard tray and the side panel, saving the SATA cables from being pressed down on, which resulted in dangerous torsional stress on the drive connectors in the InWin.

Another big improvement is Rosewill's use of a removable wall-plate that covers the side fan exhaust area. If you don't want to side-mount fans or a radiator, then just leave this wall-plate in place. This wasn't an option on the InWin, where if you didn't populate this area with fans, you were just left with a wasted space with two gaping holes exposed to the ventilated side panel. Rosewill's wall-plate has mounting holes for a pair of 2.5" or 3.5" drives to be mounted sideways and displayed towards the glass side panel. These holes could also be used by certain pump or reservoir mounting brackets for custom loops. The important thing here is that Rosewill has ADDED options for the builder, not limited them like InWin did.

Ultimately, this is the opposite of the old 'Thermalfake' controversy. Instead of just lazily rebranding the InWin 101 with just a couple of cosmetic changes, Rosewill's designers and engineers have gone the extra mile in actually improving upon the original design in nearly every conceivable way. It's obvious that Rosewill took the building experience seriously and did their best to optimize the convenience and versatility for the system builder while still reducing cost to maintain a value-oriented price-point. And that word, value, is where this rendition really shines- It costs less than the 101, but you get SO much more usability and versatility for your money. While it's not perfect and it does have an admittedly large footprint, this is easily become one of my favorite budget ATX mid-towers on the current market.

I love it (Rosewill Prism S) 6/10/2020 10:00:58 AM

Pros: -I like that the PSU is mounted on top ; I use the PSU as an exhaust fan ( you don't really have choice), people might argue that it's bad due to the fact that you are making the PSU take in hot air from CPU and GPU, but in this case, there's another exhaust fan, and three intakes at the bottom (which I think personnaly balances the airflow). Hence, I don't think there would be an overflow of hot air threw the PSU, because there's literally an exhaust fan installed below that takes out most of the hot air.

-That being said, when it comes to overall airflow, I think it's pretty well balanced with the provide fans and if desired you can always add more fans. From what I see you can add 1 on top, 2 on back panel and 2 more on front panel.

-To make the RGB work, it's pretty straight forward, either use the 3 pin cable or the 4 pin (the one with a missing a pin) depending on your motherboard, then you plug into the sata cable for power.
-Love the geometric design, it's not as visualy popping as the picture illustrates it, but still looks very nice

-a lot of room

-thumb screws

-solid build overall

-comes with zip ties and velcrow straps for cable management

-comes with rgb and fan panel pre installed in the back panel

Cons: The cons I will provide don't really bother me, but I think they are worth mentioning for the sake of this review.

-cable management was a little hard when it comes to the back panel ; it fits a little snug

-depending on your motherboard when it comes to the CPU power header, which in my case is on the top right corner. There's no opening at the top for CPU power cable due to the fact that PSU is sitting right on top. Therefore, I had to route the power cable threw the top middle opening and route accross under PSU shroud which leads to the CPU cable hanging. (QUICK EASY FIX : I glued clips to the "ceilling of the case/under the PSU shroud to hold the cable)

-Fans work very well, but they are indeed loud as other reviews might hava mentioned. But I don't really mind it, it's is machine afterall

-One the intake fans had a flickering noise. (QUICK FIX : I just put a quarter on top of the fan and I stop doing the flickering noise)

-There isn't really any instructions for operating the RGB for the pre-installed fans. Therefore, I never bothered changing the RGB. But i don't mind, I like as it is.

Overall Review: I definitely recommend this case. The price is very reasonnable and the quality is good.

Looks good but... 6/9/2020 8:05:13 PM

Pros: Looks good, looks really good.

Cons: Cheap horribly loud fans that if you want to replace you also have to replace the included RGB hub.

Overall Review: If you're deaf this is the case for you otherwise save yourself the trouble and get a different case that has no fans(so you can get your own quality ones) or get a case that has quality ones in it. Extremely disappointed in the straight up cheap trash rosewill put in this case.
