The SilverStone ML04 micro ATX case combines slim form-factor dimensions with the great expandability you can only get from a larger chassis. It has a profile of 105mm height and 350mm depth, making it extremely easy to integrate into any living room furniture. Incredibly, this case can accommodate up to three 3.5in. hard drives or five 2.5in. HDDs/SSDs through its smartly designed drive cages that can mount either size without any use of adapters. The distinguishing feature of the ML04 is its lockable aluminum front door with a LED dimmer that adds not only security, but also improves its integration into home theater environments. For those looking to build an HTPC with good expansion and cooling capabilities, but with a limited space and budget, the SilverStone Milo ML04 is a second-to-none choice that you cannot miss out on.

fun little case to work with 9/19/2019 7:59:18 AM

Pros: Needed a case for my store, boss wanted a small one that the monitor can stand on. It works wonderfully with the Rysen 5 2400G, Put two Noctua 80mm fans on side and Noctua cooler NH-L9a ... good to go fun to build plus it look attractive on the counter.

Cons: Really the power button is a pain, but pc rarely ever turned off

Overall Review: Great little machine and case

Nice small case, installed four so far. 8/17/2019 12:55:25 PM

Pros: Room for a sfx psu, nvme drive under the mother board and up to four 2.5" drives. Plus a low profile graphics card if you want

Overall Review: I had a ryzen apu installed, but wanted more performance, so I found a low profile 1030 card which is close to the same performance as the Vega 11 APU, Once the nvidia card installed properly, I swapped out the cpu for a Ryzen 5 1600, six core/ 12 threads.
This makes for a very respectful desktop PC.
The case is now ... FULL.!!!

Prefect sized for my media center 7/12/2019 8:34:58 PM

Pros: Small, has a lot out build options. And it comes with a magnetic easy to remove filter cover for the 120mm fan opening. It works well with my build

Cons: Not product's fault but finding low profile cpu cooler for it, took longer than expected

Good looking sturdy case. NOT fun to build in. 5/2/2019 12:50:08 PM

Pros: Classy aesthetic
Sturdy
Slim (compared to 4U HTPC cases)
Has riser position for full-height (single-slot) GPU
Takes full-size ATX PSU
Mounts for multiple 2½" & 3½" drives
Accommodates 5¼" DVD or Blu-Ray

Cons: Cramped! (as you might expect)
Must use low-profile CPU cooler
µATX ONLY
Can take only 80mm fans (and only on ONE side of the case)
Non-existent cable management

Overall Review: There are several things that strike one about this case in terms of component placements. I went with one 2½" SSD (boot) drive and one 3½" HDD (storage) drive; the mechanical drive mounts with four 6-32s (through grommets in the bottom of the case) underneath the 5¼" bay — simple enough. A plastic "bridge" (under which you can send cables) holds the 2½" drive, which sits a couple of inches behind the front panel, and is distant enough from the other drive that you'll not be able to use the same SATA power cable from the PSU for both, although (depending on the spacing between the SATA power connectors) you may be able to power the optical drive and HDD off the same run from your PSU.

As one might have predicted, there are no channels, covers, or troughs to hide cable runs. Still, they could have (/should have) provided tie points for zip ties or velcro straps in order to keep runs out of the way from each other; get yourself some self-adhesive cable tie-down points if you want to make your life easier inside this case. I also found the lack of Mini ITX support surprising as well. I guess Silverstone figures that any MoBo available in mITX will also be sold in µATX, but that's not always the case.

I should further mention that, before building in this case, you'll want to make sure you have some 80mm fans at your disposal. The right side of the chassis has four spots for them and (to get any sort of real air flow) you're going to need at least two. Be aware, as well, that any PCIe cards you plan to use must be low-profile — no great surprise there — but you can place a single-slot full-height card horizontally over the CPU cooler and run a riser cable to it.

The bottom line is that, with time and care, you can find a place for just about everything you'd want to put in this case, but you may find yourself in situations where you have to remove something previously installed to install something else, so try and work from the bottom up (e.g., the HDD is much easier to install if you first remove the 5¼" tray and replace it when you're done, and you'll want to route as much cabling as possible under the SSD bridge before mounting it).

All in all though, the results are worth it. This case looks (for lack of a better term) classy. It's got a black faux-brushed-aluminum face and metallic black exterior which matches the metal chassis of most home A/V components beautifully. The effect is belied by the bare metal rear panel and silver ventilated I/O slot covers, but who's gonna look at the back? From the face, with a nice-looking optical drive installed (such as Samsung's SH-B123L Blu-Ray combo with its mirrored drawer front) this thing does look fantastic.

Well Build Case, & Great Company! 9/1/2018 8:58:29 PM

Pros: Nice and small case
Sturdy construction
Looks great
Amazingly, it can hold 4 2.5" HDD's. I think I could get 6 to fit in there if I really needed to.

Cons: More challenging getting all your components to fit.
The price...
Just after I brought this, they came out with stuff like RVZ01 (same size, but can accommodate a large gaming graphics card).

Overall Review: I used the Noctua NH-L9i cooler, and SilverStone ST45SF PSU for this build.

Everything has been running smoothly...
Except recently (after 4 years), the power button quit working (very rare in my experience). SilverStone was kind enough to send me a new power switch, so now everything's back in order!

Great Piece of Machinery - Well Built 6/23/2018 1:07:33 PM

Pros: Works as intended. Good Form Factor. Supports on Top will hold a monitor with no bending. A LOT of space for 3.5" hard drives. Fits normal ATX PSU's (SEE CONS).

Fits a slim GPU

Cons: - USB 3.0 on front IO is weak, be careful when installing the drive near it, you may end up breaking a connection. 1/2 now are not usable after 2 years.

- CHECK YOUR PSU length. All atx psu's even lower power ones are not made the same. I believe I got a cheapo 6" or so, you cannot install a dvd drive. If you get one it needs to be the ones about 5'1/4 or shorter I believe. Make sure. The size needed is going to be the same as a 400-500 watt corsair cheap model psu. look it up. i dont have the time. You will be much better off with a modular or at least semi-modular.

- Air flow is atrocious with anything pulling real wattage --- I ended up buying a 3 pack of 80mm fans and a silverstone 3 fan splitter, two in and 1 out on the right side. The other out is the Cpu fan. Has since brought temps down to reasonable with a HOT amd fx-8310 cpu.

Overall Review: Be care messing with Cover over the DVD/BR drive port. very easy to bust the clip if you dont plan on having a DVD drive.

Case is well made, some questionable choices. 5/4/2018 8:49:17 PM

Pros: Small, compact htpc case with a place for everything. Well built and sturdy materials. Cable ties and dust filters included.

Cons: Cable management is pretty much a mess. To be expected in a case like this, you have pretty limited options, but who's going to look inside a htpc?

Biggest problem I have, I bought this over other models because of the lockable front panel, only one key included, and it's plastic. That's a pretty chintzy move, Silverstone.

Also, with all the overspray into the main compartment, why not just shoot the whole thing? Again, it's not a big deal since most people won't see it, but it's just kinda ugly and indicative of cutting corners.

Overall Review: If you're looking for a htpc case, this is a great one, just don't expect metal key(s). Slap a 1050ti low profile in it and have yourself a nice little htpc. Also...buy some good fans.

Try reading. 3/9/2018 11:33:38 AM

Pros: - Comparatively inexpensive.
- Solid construction/materials.
- Lots of features in a small package.
- Aesthetically pleasing (and fits seamlessly in an entertainment center).

This case is currently housing:
- CPU - AMD A6-3500 (A8-5500 to replace)
- MB - Biostar FM1 mATX (FM2 to replace)
- RAM - 2 x 4GB G.Skill Ares 1866
- PSU - Antec Earthwatts 430W
- Optical - Asus Blu Ray
- SSD - Crucial m4 64GB
- HDD - Samsung Spinpoint 1TB
- PCI - Asus Xonar DS 7.1
- Fans - 4 x Enermax UC-8EB 80mm

Cons: I'm going to start my "other thoughts" here, as anyone who would list the small size of this case as a con should be hit in the head with a tack hammer.

I have a suggestion for any potential buyers reading this review: READ THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS. If you can not deduce that a 17.32" x 13.39" x 4.13" HTPC case is a bit on the small side, or you just didn't bother reading the details, save yourself the trouble and purchase a computer from a retail store.

Pull out a ruler to get an idea of the dimensions that are in play here. This case is about the same size as a DVR set-top box you would rent from your cable company. As should be expected, this can make wire management somewhat tricky if you fill this case with components. However, it is nothing that a little ingenuity can't solve. Also, as has been stated before, a 140mm long PSU is about the largest that can be used for this case if you expect to use an optical drive.

Overall Review: If you include an SSD, 3.5" HDD, and optical drive in this case, then you are going to need to get creative with wire management. If you leave out any of those components, then there is space available to route/stuff excess wires from the PSU. I included all three and solved the wire management issue with a few garbage bag twist ties. I attached them to the support bar that extends from the front to the back of the case and safely suspended some of the wires below the bar. It took some time, but Silverstone must have envisioned the same option since they provide a number of flat zip-ties that would allow you to do the same.

This is a great case and it upsets me that some lazy people aren't willing to do any research before blasting their impulse purchase (like the guy below me). If you are looking for a small, well-built case from a name brand like Silverstone, then the ml03B is a great option. Just have a clue as to what you are looking for before you go and purchase it.
