Pros: Basic impressions:
+Computer came in a timely manner. Good job to XOTIC PC!
+Good quality specs for what it can perform with.
+No hardware defects as far as I am aware of.
+Laptop is extremely light (~4.1 lbs/under 2kg), so expect it to be useful during transit/transport.
+The fact that this still has a webcam is good in case you need a conference call or would like to do remote work.
+Value proposition is pretty good considering that it's a bundle.
+Well-thought out bundle. The mouse pad and headset are nice additions to the PC.
I/O and Ports.
+There are plenty of ports in the laptop in case you need to access certain equipment without a dongle. The two USB-C ports are a nice touch.
+Ethernet connection for stable connectivity
+Bluetooth 5.0 means that you can pair this without the need for dongles to an external mouse, headset, or keyboard.
+WiFi card can be swapped out in case of any issues.
+The monitor is a 120Hz Panel, which is appropriate for this caliber of a laptop.
+There is back-lighting on the keyboard, so with low light environments, this can easily do in a pinch.
+The keyboard doesn't get excessively hot even under load.
Overall Build Quality:
+The keyboard deck doesn't flex too much
+Aluminum construction on the cover makes for a nice cover
+Easy to clean
-Webcam doesn't have a physical cover despite the dedicated key to turn on the webcam. For those concerned about privacy, this is easily one to look out for.
-Expect a 720p webcam with a speaker setup that is below average to average. At least it's not ASUS Zephyrus G with their no webcam built into the laptop.
-Bundle comes with a headset that only has an output, so you will need a dongle to access the mic. Though it can be inexpensive, it will take up one of your dedicated USB ports to run
-Cooling pad from the bundle is extremely bulky, so do not expect to bring it everywhere.
-Trackpad is a bit annoying to use, though this has to do with my personal preference. This is probably why the bundle includes a USB mouse.
I/O and Ports
-Port positioning is definitely something to look out for especially if you are to connect multiple devices at once.
-It only has WiFi 5 (802.11ac) built-in. The spectrum may become too crowded over time.
-The panel on the monitor is definitely not super color accurate, nor does it have extremely fast response times. Colors may look washed out or dim in gaming scenarios.
-Keyboard travel is a bit on the slim side with less feedback than I would like to expect, though this can be an acquired taste.
-Do not expect the lighting to be evenly distributed throughout the keyboard.
Overall Build Quality:
-Expect residue to appear on the laptop with regular use.
-Plastic construction can be seen in the laptop.
Overall Review: I would highly recommend this to entry-level mobile gamers. Though this review at the time may change since the PC has been operational for around a month. It's great for youth as this particular model that I picked up sports an Intel Core i7 9750H with an nVidia GTX 1660 Ti alongside a 512GB SSD and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. It is definitely adequate for gaming, though you can expect it to be a different experience for different users. It is also somewhat friendly about RAM upgrades and SSD swaps. There's always negative things to expect out of this laptop, but despite this, it is definitely some decent entry-level gaming laptop.
Pros: I think I like everything about this laptop.
Its fast, lightweight, 120 refresh rate makes games run super smooth.
Keyboard is nice with red light accent(not to bright), and has a good feel to it.
Cons: Shows some fingerprints near track pad, slightly awkward placement for power cord.
Overall Review: Its great, and comes with accessories as a bonus. Thanks to the team at XOTICPC and newegg for offering this at a good price.
