Is this printer compatible with Windows 10?

It certainly is I can tell you I have windows 10 installed on my desktop and it works fine with this printer but this printer does seem to get updates very often.

What is in the box? Does ink come with it?

The box includes the printer, software, instructions and starter ink. However, this is hardly starter ink compared to my HP printer. I got more pages and photos printed with these "starter" cartridges than my HP 61 ink cartridges. So far so good.

can you print envelopes?

yes. will print multiple envelopes. I use MS2010 Mail merge and it works fine. So far it is a good printer. I like the duplexing feature.
