Pros: Good stable router with dd-wrt. I did not bother installing the stock firmware after reading reviews here. Got this router on a combo deal and half the regular price too. Newegg really rocks. Fast shipping too :)

Cons: Weak signal, this unit has two 1-2 inches of sheet metal which they try to call as "antennas". Even with just 2 feet distance with the router the signal is still weak. If it had external removable antennas I would have gladly given it 5 eggs.

Overall Review: I did the antenna mod for this router (just google it) using u.fl to rpsma pigtails and two 16dbi rpsma antennas. Although the router looks like an alien contraption, with those tall antennas, but mind you it works great. I am now getting 50% increase in signal (but you can still tweak the transmission power with ddwrt to increase the strenght, I am just using the minimal TX).

Pros: Cheap for N, looks nice, easy setup, newegg is the best (ordered tues afternoon arrived thurs afternoon for free). Definitely install DD-WRT instead ... even for the novice it is easier to use. Installed with OSX and tftpserver.app (free online) in about 5minutes. although this will probably revoke your warrantee.

Cons: Internal antennas are weak but improved bandwidth usage and MIMO technology allows for good quality within a few rooms. DO NOT GET FOR COVERING BIG HOUSE/OFFICE. Not unless you want to do an antennae mod

Pros: Very easy to flash with DD-WRT. I had it up and running with DD-WRT within minutes after it arrived. It's been running for 3 weeks now and hasn't dropped a connection once. About 1/2 the size of the old WRT54G. Blazing fast connection. I'm getting the full 300mbps out of it most of the time.

Cons: Range wasn't as good as my old WRT54G. I don't see why most of these newer routers are coming with wimpy internal antennas. I guess people would rather have it look neater at the expense of a better signal???

Overall Review: I fixed the range problem by adding external antennas. It was very cheap and easy to do. I am now getting 80-90% signal strength 1 floor up from the router. Google "WHR-G300N antenna mod" and you can see how it's done and what parts you'll need. Would have given it a 5 egg if it would have came from the factory with external antennas.

Cons: 10/100 instead of gigabit ethernet (not that meaningful to me, but the only con I can think of)

Overall Review: This router just hit the States so it's still in beta w/ DD-WRT and the other 3rd parties (Tomato, OpenWRT, etc.) haven't gotten working versions yet for the Ralink chipset, but I'd expect it to firm up soon. I had to use the 030309 version of DD-WRT. Fortunately, the router was very responsive to TFTP uploads even when it wouldn't boot. Got DD-WRT on it, enabled wireless N, G and B and haven't looked back. Between the wireless bandwidth improvement and generally faster hardware compared to my trusty Linksys WRT54G, it was an excellent value. I also got a combo deal with a USB adapter thrown in. My major concern at the time of purchase was whether the signal strength would be any good with it's internal antenna. Haven't had a problem yet. Currently connecting with an Edimax PCI Draft N card.

Pros: DD-WRT is able to be installed. Quite a small form factor, very thin and can be stood up or laid down. Very quiet, little heat given off. Got it on sale for $34.99 :)

Cons: Not a thing.

Overall Review: Don't you just love DD-WRT? It single handedly sells me routers.

Pros: Price $41.99 DD-WRT Support - Firmware is simple to load. Justinstall a tftp server program on your PC, download the latest tftp firmware for this router from dd-wrt and place it in the tftp root folder, give you pc an IP of 192.168.11.2, connect the router via ethernet to your pc and reboot the router. It will get the file right from your PC. Just make sure that you stop the tftp server after it gets the file or it will keep rebooting and retrieving the file. Now it is a High power Highly configurable router Small Size and weight

Cons: Wireless Signal Strength No gigabit ethernet no external connections for antenna upgrades, no usb port

Overall Review: I bought this router to use as a bridge to my DLINK AP. It took a while to get it working with the DD-WRT firmware but is is up and running and all my wired and wireless components can have access to the internet through it. The only issue I see so far is that the signal strength is less than 1/2 of my DLINK AP even though I sit near the Buffalo and the DLINK is on a different floor. Even if I crank the transmit power up in the DD-WRT gui it still lacks in signal strength. That being said, I bought this to bridge wired clients from downstairs to the AP upstairs and this it is doing and doing well, so all in all for 41.99 it is well worth it.

Pros: Newegg rocks!! Router is very fast with dd-wrt loaded. very easy to flash one of these. I bought 2 of these for my network. Both work very well of course with dd-wrt. Boots around 10sec. Wifi is great. My fax works great threw vonage now. Unlike my d-link gaming router i had which was gigabit but runs slower then this thing.

Cons: Stock firmware, no gigabit... hey BUFFALO I'm waiting for the gigabit.

Overall Review: Buy this thing and flash it with dd-wrt :)

Pros: I flashed this immediately with dd-wrt and never tried the stock firmware. Having said that it is very solid in my application which is just a wireless access point in my home. I stream NetFlix wirelessly to an LG BlueRay player without hiccup. I've had it a year but doesn't get hot at all so I expect it to last a lot longer.

Cons: None at this price point.
