Pros: Cheap price, reasonable features, good entry level device
Cons: I bought this phone based on a feedback comment here that the phone works with the included power adapter or PoE. It's my fault for not looking into it further, but I wanted to warn anyone else the "PoE" here is some proprietary 5v concoction and not standard PoE like 802.3af
Overall Review: I can't say much for the phone, because I haven't used it. It's not going to work in my environment.
Pros: Good looks, good quality, good sound, loaded with features.
With a few button pushes, you can find the IP address, retrieve call history, etc.
Cons: LED screen a little hard to read at some angles. Not all icons on buttons completely intuitive. Takes getting used to. Wish POE adapter came with unit... didn't order one at the time phone purchased. This means having to place the phone close to a 120VAC power plug.
Overall Review: Configuration utility easy to work with.
Pros: This phone is a great entry level VoIP phone for the price, absolutely wonderful!
Cons: it would have been nice to have it in a POE.
Pros: Great SIP Phone! Configured with very little effort and is working as my home phone. I have an asterisk PBX with a SIP trunk from Broadvoice.
Its fun explaining to people why I have a Cisco IP phone in my house.
Automated provisioning works like a charm. Just pulls some config files off of my TFTP server at the house. Took a little bit of research to get the automated provisioning to work correctly.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Overall Review: I've only tested with Asterisk PBX but it should work well with any SIP based PBX
Pros: Sound quality is excellent with both handset and speakerphone. Easily connects to an Asterisk system and even connects to an LDAP server for an address book.
Cons: LCD would be much easier to see if backlit and the manual leaves a lot to be desired.
Pros: Will work powered by PoE or with adapter. Has SIP capability, 2 RJ45 jacks on back to connect another IP device. Decent LCD that is semi user freindly. Good speakerphone capabilities. Connects on reboot quickly. Customizable read out for phone ID etc.
Cons: In order to transfer calls there are 4 buttons on the Phone that must be pushed in the correct order. It was confusing for the users to get used to. You have to push the tranfer button twice. It may be solved in the config file but who has time to run that down.
Overall Review: For the money an excellent IP phone with very little setup or config issues encountered. I will continue using them. We have 20 now and will keep these in stock to replace any bad units. So fare, have not replaced any of the them. The Cat5 cables that come with them are very good quality.
