At Newegg, gaming is a community. That's why earlier this April, we opened the doors of our Newegg Gamer Zone to host Power Your Play, an immersive, hands-on experience brought to life in partnership with Seagate, UGREEN, and ZOTAC.
Putting Storage to the Test
The day kicked off with a product demo from Seagate's team, giving attendees an up-close look at some of the brand's most impressive storage solutions from the FireCuda X1070 NVMe SSD to the iconic FireCuda Star Wars Lightsaber Collection drives. From there, the floor opened up to a series of interactive experience stations where guests could test drives firsthand, including an Xbox storage station, a 4-bay ZOTAC PC station, an 8-bay station, and a dedicated SSD speed challenge – the "NVMe Station: Guess the Speed" where quick reflexes and tech knowledge were rewarded.
A scavenger hunt ran through the morning to the afternoon, keeping energy high and giving attendees a reason to explore every corner of what Seagate's lineup had to offer.
Campus Rivalry Meets Collegiate Esports
The afternoon's competitive energy kicked off with a VALORANT show match featuring the influencer guests themselves, giving attendees a chance to watch their favorite creators compete live before the main event. Then two university esports teams took the stage for the collegiate matchup: Loyola Marymount University vs. San Bernardino Valley College. With live shout casters on mics and the crowd engaged, it was exactly the kind of moment the Gamer Zone was built for. The event wrapped with MVP recognition, a group photo, and free play time for students before buses departed.
Influencers, Prizes, and Community
The event drew a strong lineup of creator talent, including Bitwit, Jayden, Walley, TechWithSeong, Jacki Jing, and Katy Bentz, bringing genuine enthusiasm and real-time coverage to the experience. Raffle prizes included a ZOTAC RTX 5060 graphics card, a Seagate IronWolf 32TB hard drive, multiple FireCuda SSDs, Xbox storage expansion cards, UGREEN charging accessories, ZOTAC gear, and Newegg gift cards, among many others.
