Pros: There is nothing really special about this RAM compared to other RAM. Having 3 different colors for heat spreader is a nice touch, however, only black and red is available at Newegg at the moment. The RAM works well and with Corsiar's brand name, I expect it to last lifetime under normal uses. It also carries lifetime warranty. Price of this RAM ($75.99 at the time of review) is rather cheap compared to other RAM with same specification.
Cons: I did not find any cons.
Overall Review: I highly recommend this RAM for average standard users. Heavy overclockers may need a model with bigger heat sink.
Pros: - Corsair quality. I've never had a pair of Corsair sticks go bad on me, ever. Even after intensive 24/7 stress testing. - Passed memtest86 with flying colors. - Heat-spreaders are low profile making them compatible with a lot of CPU coolers. - DDR4 3200 speeds - Works on X99 and Z170 chipsets - Runs fairly cool because of quality Corsair heat-spreaders. Probably can be OCed a little.
Cons: - XMP profile and your motherboard should automatically detect best and proper settings for the RAM. I had no problems on my Z170 board, but the X99 board did take some manual adjustment.
Overall Review: - Kinda wish these sticks were rated with a CAS latency of 15 instead of 16. With higher frequencies but a longer CAS latency I wonder if getting DDR4 3200 is even worth it vs a pair of sticks running at DDR4 3000 but with 15 CAS latency. You can easily just overclock the DDR4 3000 up to 3200.
Pros: Used this as memory as my 2nd foray into building a DDR4 system. XMP but I had to make a quick adjustment in BIOS for it to run at the advertised speed; pretty sure that was the motherboard's fault. Interesting note, this memory is confirmed to fit inside the new Bulldog case using the Corsair cpu liquid cooler that you can get for the case. With that said, this memory will fit in and around those CPU coolers that can be intrusive over the DIMM slot areas.
Cons: None, using this kit for my next build which will be in a Corsair Bulldog case. There is a 2 x 16GB version of this kit as well.
Overall Review: DDR4 at 3200 is helpful if in many game titles if you are trying to run in 4k@60fps. At the price point of $75.00 I'm glad that DDR4 has dropped significantly in price.
Pros: + Choice of colors: Black, Red, Blue for the finicky builder that desires to color match + Low profile heat spreader should accommodate any cooler out there + XMP profile built in for easy installation + CAS Latency: 16-18-18-36 + Budget priced top quality DDR4 3200
Cons: - May have to tweak the timings depending on the mobo. - None
Overall Review: It is amazing how quickly we have advanced in DDR4 speed and declined in price in such a short time. That being said this ram was installed in a MSI Z170 mobo that had PC4-1700 DDR4 2133Mhz in it. It was a somewhat recent build with a serious budget in mind. With DDR4 memory prices at the time, well you get the picture. The Corsair Vengeance LPX was installed and the profile recognized in bios. The rig has a new Intel i5-6500 but a handed down 670gtx in it. I know it is a montage of parts but it is my son's rig. As such it gets the leftovers. He plays BF4 among other things and this memory has definitely made a noticeable improvement in system responsiveness. I have used Corsair power supplies and memory since DDR2 days. I have installed Corsair ram in desktops and laptops for family, friends and customers. I have yet to have one stick fail. Unlike some of the competition that I purchased on sales. This memory is good quality and fast Corsair with an attractive price tag to boot. With a price point matching that of slower clocked DDR4, why not choose the faster ram? If shopping for DD4 why settle for less than the best, get Corsair?
Pros: XMP Good Value
Cons: Can be a bit finicky to run at the full advertised speed.
Overall Review: This DDR4 memory kit from Corsair is a solid choice for any budget minded PC builder. While it has XMP (Intel’s Extreme Memory Profile) built in which will automatically select the best “safe” settings, this particular memory choose a little more on the safe side than the performance side, so you may have to do a little trial and error tweaking to get the settings just right. If you’re the PC builder that has to have the flashiest, fancy looking heat spreaders, then this offering from Corsair gives you a few color choices, Red, Blue, Black, and White (oooh white!). Other than the color choices they are fairly plain, but they are a great value. Installed into an X99 based motherboard with an Intel i7 5820K, this RAM was rock solid and performed great. It’d be a great addition to any budget minded PC build. That in mind, it might be worthwhile to note that you can go and get this exact memory in a quad kit (that’s 32 GB of RAM, four sticks of 8 GB) for only $42 more to double the amount of RAM and have a full quad channel setup. Just a thought. Either way this is a great kit and highly recommended for those on a budget!
Pros: - Fast - Low profile to allow room for extra large coolers - Sharp design - Lifetime warranty
Cons: - None
Overall Review: Corsair RAM is by far and away my favorite top to bottom. However I am quite familiar with Kingston, Crucial, and others as well and they all have their bright spots. This kit performed well, gave me absolutely no trouble out of the box. The only issues I ran into was with my X99 platform which is not the fault of this RAM. Using the XMP profile, it overclocks my CPU in order to boost certain straps high enough to push the mhz of the ram. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but on the X99 platform this is always a giant pain especially if your CPU can't overclock well. To get around this, I reduced the CPU multiplier until I was closer to the original clock speed and everything functioned as it was supposed to. I also ran into this issue on my SkyLake CPU as well. Just keep in mind your platform and be sure you are aware of what all the changes the XMP profile can make so that you're not stuck wondering what is going on. Again, no fault of the RAM itself. I highly recommend Corsair's line and especially the LPX line. Price points are great for the performance you get and is backed by an excellent warranty.
Pros: There’s little doubt we’ve got something special here, awesome technology @ an affordable price!!! Although it doesn’t meet the literal definition of Moore’s Law (prediction, Intel co-founder Gordon Moore), but, we’re turning another page in PC evolution; DDR4 SDRAM > improved power efficiency > 20-40% over DDR3; twice the speed of its predecessor DDR3. It’s amazing how far we’ve come, not so long ago DDR4 memory was expensive – today – it’s in the same Ball Park as DDR3 memory. A year ago, I acquired DDR4 memory; 16GB (four x 4GB) 3000 (PC4 24000) vs. now/this: 16GB (two x 8GB) 3200 (PC4 25600) 200 MHz faster, more dense (two sticks versus 4) @ a fraction of previous cost > Moore’s Law? Although the previously mentioned DDR4 memory is extremely attractive, it’s ginormous (twice as high). This (mine red) aluminum heat-spreader communicates > quality/efficiency; its low-profile design is nifty (doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb). This 16GB (two x 8GB) is an excellent choice for two slots Micro ATX Intel Motherboard s in small cases – notwithstanding – it'll look good in an ATX case. Judging from personal experience; Corsair products are, in fact, reliable. I have no flops to share. Their attention to detail is phenomenal, ranging from their simple mouse mat to CPU cooler, power supply, USB drive, memory - and - my favorite, Corsair gaming K95 RGB mechanical gaming keyboard have all served me well. I imagine this (Vengeance LPX) will be as reliable; only the test of time will tell.
Cons: WARRANTY > Manufacturer’s product page; Corsair® Limited Warranty Copyright © 2016 (support, warranty) > “Effective April 8, 2016, the following warranty periods apply: All DRAM (generic name for various kinds of dynamic random access memory) modules have a lifetime warranty.” Preceding the aforementioned, there this legalese > “This warranty does not cover problems or damage resulting from, but not limited to, any of the following (one being) > “Wear and tear associated with normal use.” Go figure… I'd prefer, seven year (lenient) no-hassle warranty, barring negligence.
Overall Review: LPX 16GB has a “BIG” brother, twice the memory, identical appearance (CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB (two x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model CMK32GX4M2B3200C16R). Although designed for Intel X99-based motherboards it ought to work in most DDR4 motherboards > beyond gaming > it’s relevant to high-performance systems, i.e., large (cross-platform) images, text documents > PDF documents, converting PDF files, creating PDFs and scientific applications, i.e., radio frequency spectrum analysis to mention a few… Perhaps, it’s time to turn the page on DDR3; an enterprising tinker, repurposing case, power supply, peripherals; swapping motherboard, CPU; adding up-to-date memory (CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB), can recycle/transform their DDR3 PC to DDR4 PC > inexpensively, mining Newegg shell shocker and e-Blast deals, enjoy the hunt. Example: LGA 1151 motherboard W/ DDR4 Support, CPU (new gen) Intel Skylake LGA 1151 and CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB can be sourced, less than $200. As well as, you’ve kept the repurposed stuff out of the landfill. The neat thing about PCs, their innards are a lot like Legos, the (CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB) is a foreseeable future keeper; other components (recycled & new) may be looked upon as place holders (temporary), until a lot better screaming bargain comes along. Setup, don’t miss, free Windows 10 upgrade before it ends (July 31). For best results > get an X99 Series motherboard w/ DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) memory support. Not as highly embellished DDR4, slower motherboards are available for less than fifty bucks. 16GB (two x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 isn’t as generic as you might think > Corsair stuff, for the most part, is premium > versus as a lot of stuff I’d classify as pedestrian (ordinary). You needn’t to be a gamer to appreciate top tier stuff > Corsair has some of the best…

Pros: Aluminum heat spreaders dissipate any heat very effectively. Coating and color look amazing Very stable at 3200 speeds using proper timings. Motherboard did not pick up the maximum speed for these but a simple BIOS change fixed the issue. (Note: Did a test with the default timings, and there was really no difference in speed) Never had a failure with Corsair ram. FYI new DOOM with nVidia 970 and these chips looks amazing.
Cons: none
Overall Review: Corsair is making so many nice products that the my entire rig is basically Corsair due to their great quality and detail to workmanship. Tried to OC these chips for giggles with limited success. Increasing voltage slightly did help, but did not notice a speed difference so decided to step them back to the rated timings for stability.
