Pros: At first glance you'd think the box was your standard ram packaging, but as usual Corsair takes it's to the next level. Foam padding products these ram chips from excessive shock during shipping. Upon opening and first inspection you can tell Corsair does an excellent job on heat sink design and overlay. Incorporating the leds in a subtle way that you don't realize they're their until turned on. Love the custom rgb settings with an infinite color array to match any gaming rig. I dont like to overclock my stuff, but I did do some dummy overclocking through my motherboard settings. I was able to get 4400mhz stable for playing through metro. Price point isn't too bad for this set of ram given given the extras. First impressions are positive as they usually are with any of my corsair products I buy.
Pros: Runs at rated speed with no issues.
Pushed to 3400 @ CL16
Looks awesome, heatspreaders very functional.
Cons: Corsair software is split between iCUE and Link worlds so depending on what generation of Corsair products you have, you may need to run 2 pieces of software.
Pros: -16 GB at 3200mhz is always a great starting point
-The LEDs are top notch, with no dark spots anywhere and with high levels of control if you want it.
-The overall aesthetic of the sticks is top notch
Cons: -Where everything else about this screams premium, the CL timings are strangely mediocre.
Overall Review: These worked out of the box, they look gorgeous even without the LEDs on, and with the LEDs it can really get to another level in the right case. The only complaint I have at this point isn't so much pointed to corsair, but more to the memory industry. At 5 years into DDR4, I would've thought we'd have gotten to a point where 3200mhz at CL14 would be common place, but apparently not. DDR5 does appear to be around the corner, so I suppose it won't matter for too long, and otherwise, I'm still very happy with this RAM.
Does not get better than this in your face Gskill3/27/2019 7:05:31 PM
Pros: Having been offered these I was very skeptical as to weather they may live up to the very popular GSkill RBG modules currently on the market and I have to say they blew me away. I've had Dominator memory in my systems before and was always happy with their premium quality build and function always packing the best of the memory modules out there. These are no different but with the added benefit of customizable RBG. Here are a few things I really liked about this kit:
- well priced compared to other brands
-very well developed IQ Software to control all your corsair products
-premium packaging
-perfect diffusion level from the light-bar with realistic and accurate colors and the white looks absolutely amazing
-the led's are the latest tech built for longevity they are brighter and much more smaller
-low heat and superior performance, was able to overclock them to 3800 without pretty much giving up too much
-blistering fast with best latency results when overclocked I have ever seen
-as far as the lighting effects the possibilities are endless compared to the Gskill with customizable horizontal and vertical effects
-I love the fact that I am able to achieve a matrix, night rider or cylon light effect with these
Cons: Absolutely none, love these even more than the Gskill
Overall Review: The Gskill modules I had where had buggy software for a long time, required motherboard tweaks, lighting effects where good but not as good. I would highly recommend these modules and believe them to be the best on the market Period! Good job Corsair, thx.
Fantastic ram with a slick look!3/21/2019 8:16:59 PM
Pros: Solid timings
Awesome XMP performance
can run at faster speeds than advertised.
Pretty cool RGB effects to play with.
Build quality is unreal!
SEXY!
Cons: Price
Overall Review: Here I am again reviewing yet another piece of kit from Corsair. I won't lie; I'm a big fan of anything Corsair and their customer service is top notch on those very few times I needed help over the years.
I run Corsair ram in all of my computers and swapped out my Corsair Vengeance LED 32GB DDR4 3466 to try this kit out. Let me be fair...I prefer my DDR4 3466 ram but this Dominator Platinum kit can be tweaked for better timings and handles them well. Better than my 3466 sticks. Also this ram works so darn well with XMP. Over the years I stopped trying to use XMP because it usually just caused problems but not with this Dominator ram! These sticks love XMP and really come alive when in XMP mode.
I had zero issues with booting up these tweaked with XMP and my CPU at 4.9GHz. Everything is stable and fast!! The RGB lighting is awesome and the LED lights built directly on the PCB is something special. These lights are BRIGHT and just looks so very cool. I'm not even a big RGB lighting guy but even I can't fault Corsair. Working along with iCue software which by the way is really easy to use and set up.
The heat shields are tall but shouldn't be an issue for most. I use a corsair water kit and had no issues with installation at all.
Performance wise these things rock. They outperform other sticks by Corsair that I use and I won't go into all the benching I did but I will say these sticks run fast and overclock easily. A little tweaking or using XMP is all that's needed to have a nice performance boost. If you are building a cutting edge gaming rig then these should be considered. Between great speeds, fantastic build quality, and the best RGB lighting on the market...you just can't go wrong. Man these sticks are sexy...if you like that sort of thing and I for one do!

3/4 good1/14/2021 9:56:19 AM
Pros: 3/4 of the ram sticks were good.
Cons: 1 of the rams came out defective of the box but I just assumed that the casing being loose and missing a screw didn’t matter. The ram has caused me headaches of BSOD troubleshooting. And the fact that I’m paying a premium for the ram for worth. I’ll probably buy this elsewhere because the return policy and etc is much easier to work with. After reading the policy I don’t think I’ll get a replacement or refund for 1 stick ands it not worth the trouble to fight for it.
Overall Review: The product itself is nice but the fact that it came defective...doesn’t make sense.

Corsair............once more and everytime since the DDR2 Micron D9s.9/28/2019 10:15:54 AM
Pros: Heavy.........high-quality aluminum which serves as a heat-sink as well.
Run very cool.
Achieves XMP speeds easily with more headroom for overclocking.
Cons: None, none at all.
Overall Review: So many choices, so many price ranges, but ONLY ONE rules them ALL.
I didn't think I was going to dig the RGB but once I used the software and was able to tone it down and have the RAIN effect setting, I'm fine with it, but most importantly? Speeds, reliability, and overclocking potential.
First BIOS setting was to set this at profile 1 for XMP (using an ASUS Z390) and every time worked flawlessly in the first attempt.
2nd: reliability, and overclocking, YES, I bought TWO kits for a total of 32GB, because I wanted to occupy all 4 slots and all 4 modules have achieved easily a 3400MHz speed with the same voltage and timings, and the temps are pretty much the same as the 3200MHz stock.
There are other brands but from my personal experience, I always stick with Corsair modules, I went the "cheap" way once and the 3000MHz modules cannot run at that speed, very disappointing but I will no longer buy "that" brand of memory.
Corsair works pretty much with EVERYTHING and is in a class higher than the rest.
Pros: --I Love the RBG on these sticks it looks great through a windowed case.
-- These sticks perform flawlessly and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase
As always Newegg's shipping was spot on.
Cons: -I can't really think of any cons for these I guess if I'm being really nitpicky the lighting for these sticks can be a bit bright but that's a bit of a stretch
Overall Review: -If you are considering purchasing these they are completely worth it and you won't regret purchasing them
