Looking to improve my MacBook Pros overall performance. Will this do it? Does this fit a MacBook Pro bought late 2012?

Installed this memory in my daughter's new iMac to double the memory.  Computer recognized it right away.  Easy installation too.  
Never have had a problem with Corsair products and endorse this product without reservation.  I cannot verify that this memory will fit a MacBook Pro, however.

I have a MBP Model 5.5, and need to know which RAM Memory sticks will work with this machine?  Would like 16GB if possible?

Apple has a site where you can see which type of RAM stick works with which computer model. Just google it.
